VISA APPROVED!!!
Stayed in Boulevard Mansion Hotel which is just across the Embassy.Woke up 4:30 am but went to embassy 5:30 for my 6:15 appointment...Interview went well, the Filipino guy asked for my NBI clearance. And if I have pictures and remittances with me,I said yes but he didnt look at them...He told me to wait for my number to be called again.after 30 minutes the American consul in window 68 called my name. She ask who's my petitioner, wedding date, his work and how did we meet. And then she asked if I have plan to work,I said Im planning to take my NCLEX...ANd she smiled and said oh a nurse
...And told me the good news
" Your visa is approved, welcome to US."So happy
))... 8 months of stressful processing's over.

Line 22 on the 2011 tax return is the current income for a self-employed person. "Operating loss" means self employed. Unless the business is closed and the sponsor now has a "job" with employment income, or some very significant liquid assets, a joint sponsor will be needed.
I talked to my husband and the operating loss was incurred years ago...yes he read the instructions.
The company where he worked before didn't pay him right and so he have loss, and I told him dat "opearting loss" should be for self-employed person and he said that's how IRS did it when his CPA filed...Actually he have some refunds from IRS around 10,000 dollars and its on process now.

They won't care about 2008. What they care about is current and possibly the last three years (so 2009-2011). If he has been employed by a company that he does not own (ie salary/ waged employee, not self-employed) for the last couple of years, and is above the poverty line for those, you have nothing to worry about.
I looked at 2009-2011 ITR and the 2008 net operating loss is carry forward and that's why with the form 8879(e-file) it shows that his adjusted gross income is -42,569.
Im confused now weather we need to get co sponsor
-
If he is not self employed, how can he have negative income?
it showed 2008 net operating loss..
-
For self employed it is line 22
what if not self employed?
-
he earned 33,400 for 2011 which is above poverty level but there's net oprating loss carryforwrd for 2010 dats why line 22 in form 1040 shows negative
-
From everything I've read, it is the current earnings they look at. Correct me if I'm wrong please, it's a learning process for me too.

The 1040 shows in line 22 negative amount because of net operating loss...Do we need to get co-sponsor?thanks for response!

Ok so for PAL it's a YES on showing the clear copies of the front of the CC and ID of the card holder at the counter.

I want to book flight and purchase ticket for another person. Can I do it online?
Yes, you can book flight and buy a ticket for another person from our website. Our online booking facility does not require the credit card holder to be the passenger or a member of the travelling party.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
To avoid fraudulent transactions and to protect credit card owners, PAL reserves the right to require that the credit card used in purchasing the ticket(s) online be presented at the ticket collection point, upon check-in or in cases of reissuance, rebooking or refund of a ticket.
If the credit card owner is not part of the travelling party and is unable to present the credit card used, PAL also reserves the right to require the presentation of clear photocopies of the front of the credit card and the valid PHOTO ID of the credit card owner at the ticket collection point, upon check-in and in cases of reissuance, rebooking and/or refund.
It shall be the responsibility of the credit card owner to ensure that the passenger(s) comply with the requirement. PAL reserves the right to deny boarding to passenger(s) or refuse to reissue, revalidate, rebook or refund a ticket for failure to comply with foregoing requirements.
Without prejudice to criminal prosecution under Republic Act No. 8484, PAL may cancel a confirmed reservation or may remove from any flight any passenger if PAL has reason to believe that a ticket(s) has been purchased using a fraudulent credit card.
HI Sis,i flew to Taiwan by PAL last June...I was worried then about that CC photocopy coz somebody booked ticket for me...But they didnt ask for it just show the print itenerary and will be good.

You could land in Minnesota if you choose to do so. It doesn't matter where your POE is.....Best of luck in the USA.
Thank u
))POE won't matter. lets say you miss the flight, for a moment.
Then you go to the airline counter, tell them you missed the flight due to customs and immigration,
and they put you on the next flight out, usually for free.
But - you must go to the counter, you must see a human - nothing is automatic.
Shreveport being the final destination is no worry, at all .
Good Luck !
Thanks

Safe flight and welcome to US soon!

Thank you sis...Good luck too

-
Shreveport is the closest airport to Longview (about 1 hour drive). Where will you be stopping first in the U.S.? That will be your Port of Entry (POE).
yes, that's the reason why hubby choose Shreveport...my POE will be SFO,now Im worried coz only 1 hour from SFO to my next flight.
No problem with where you choice of POE.
Thank you
