I dont know where you got the I-485a because I have never heard of anyone filing that form.....

I think you have got confused...

Once your AOS has been approved you have to file a I-751 to lift the conditions off your Greencard 1 year and 9 months after approval.....

Hello every body So I am curious, After you get married...you apply for AOS immidiately, or before the 90 days right? but isnt the permenant thing, the i-485a an 'after 2 years' document? Do I need to have $1000+325+70 ready the day after we get married? What is the total cost I can expect to pay as far as forms go in this 90 day period? I read Ewoks pinned deal, but I still am not sure what the appropriate time for the forms biometrics etc are... I was hoping those going through it may have a better idea? We've received the NOA2 and a letter from the National Visa Center saying they've received the NOA2 and are sending the package to the embassy. We haven't gotten the Packet 3 yet but is it already possible to get a medical exam? Embassy: Manila, Philippines.

Rebel heart took hers in advance I think. But I think she had her appointment letter to get the results. From what I've read....I've heard some people say you just need a case number and the copy of the NOA2, but in the ppines it seems they are really forceful about that appointment letter. The medical also expires after a given amount of time....don't really think thats any help...but hey i tryed lol

Ok so my woman has her interview scheduled for next month and i was curious....how important do you think it is to send an affidavit from some kind of ordained minister saying he has been contacted about getting married? Did any of you not have that and pass ok? I was wondering because I'll send that if i have too, but would rather not because i want to get all this additional info to her right away. I want to send the last bits tomorrow but I'd just go UPS if i have to wait for that. Any help is appriciated thanks

It really is not necesary. More important is that both of You make a letter of intent Stating Your plans to marry within 90 days after she arrives.

As far as calling her Your woman. How about a bit of respect and at least say Fiance!!!!!!!!!

When my woman went to the bank to pay the visa fee, they put a stamp on the back of her 157...i thought it was supposed to be the 156 hmm she also got a pink slip like they used to do. Hope that doesnt become a problem at the interview.

That's probably closer to the truth..they just didn't send it out. My woman sent me a Christmas card, it took 11 days to get here in the U.S.A. I think they set it up..here mail room guys..tyhis is ready..and after they play office golf or warehouse football they decide to go ahead and send it.

I wouldn't get too excited about it yet, Dano--Lye just got hers two days ago, and it was supposedly mailed on Jan 26th...and she lives in Paranaque.

ya but the weird thing is we've sent over 14 faxs (over 10 week period) called several times and they dont seem to be able to correct her address. plus she live less then 15 minutes from the embassy i think its a bit weird that mail takes 10+ days to be delievered in the same town. i know yove gets her bills on time so im sure the mail system cant be that much worse then the U.S. mail

Mine took 23 days and she lives like 15-20 km away in manila/.

After medical results out, only xray film and vaccines records will be given to u. for adults there are certain vaccines not anymore to give bcos of age, they will give u what vaccine u just need, u will be given the vaccines lists and being thicked what you should be taken or not, and there a note on below and being thicked that u need to take when u enter US.

As for me only MMR been given, and they noted at the bottom that i need to have tetanus and diptheria shots in US since its not available in philippines. As for kids should e taken here since its available, exensive to take it in US.

I would send many pay stubs and 3 years worth of tax returns or copies of such, a letter from your boss saying that your job is a permanant position, and perhaps your bank statements as many as you have it asks for a years worth of deposits and a balance.

contact the embassy at 2 528 6300 or from us at 011 6325286300 extension 5184 or 5185 give them your case number, and ask it be forewarded to st. lukes hospitol for pick up. Check in a few days to make sure it arrived and then go get it from window f before your appointment so you can fill it out. If they give you a number to wait to go to window f, walk up to it anyway and simply ask for it.

I havent got my packet yet, embassy staff says been sent out Jan 26th, my interview due to march. I requested to pick it up in St. lukes so i cud take my medical exams. So after a week passed i went yesterday morning to pick up my packet, but i expected with nothing, hadnt got it yet but i did proceed to my medical yesterday and today (2 days) without my appointment letter, later when i go there hopefully i got my packet na as St. lukes promised me.

If you still could wait till next month for ur packet, since ur interview is april. but theres no harm to request it and pick it up to SLEC just be sure its really true, and if its ok to her to take medical exams already.

its funny. today my woman got her packet. It was shipped by delbros... it did take over 3 weeks to get there (30km away) we picked it up at st lukes yesterday.and wouldn't you know it, it got there today. Go figure i'd never expect a courier to take so long. But whatever
