We are thinking of visiting my Brother who lives in England, what are (if any) the visa requirements of a US green card holder (Russian citizen) ?
-
Being raised in South Texas I can assure you there is a massive problem with illegal immigration that hurts all Americans and those whom intend to become Americans or American residents. If you don't think so, go spend sometime in our southern states along the border.
Back on topic; In US we have many things with we can get bonded for or provide monetary guarentee somthing will happen, why can't US immigration have say a $10k security bond for visiting immigrants (that the US citizen can put up) to help insure their timily departure?

As a proud father I must boast; Our daughter was born Feb. 7th 2007, 8lbs, 2oz.
We couldn't be happier.
Is there such a term as Russian/American?

A big Congrats to you! I hope some of this good fortune pass the way of those whom have had more of a challange latly.

Best of Luck!

They managed to loose ours for ..... 3 months! Original was sent it to National Records instead of NVC. They don't like even looking for it until the 90 days is up. Good luck.

CONGRATULATIONS Cliff and Ksenia!
I have a friend in the VIs, St Croix where you are. I've known both him and his wife for about ten years. I've visited them on a couple occasions. Maybe Maria and I will be down there sometime. I assume she will still need the AP to get off the mainland. I've heard that going to Hawaii requires no AP since it's a US State and the US VIs do. I that correct? I know that everytime I've gone to St Croix, I had to go through customs there and in Miami.
Great to hear you all are through for a couple years!
Larry
The Virgin Islands are a US territory and you do not need AP. With that said, still use caution as when we were leaving Texas after getting married the person at AA ticket booth took Ksenia's I-94 out of her passport, I asked why did you do that, she stated "she is leaving the US" after a brief geography lesson she quickly put the I-94 back into Ksenia's passport. Be careful but it shouldn't be a problem.

On Nick-n-Nats we are pick1.

woot! Passed AOS with no problems! Good luck to all who still on immigration road. We have never been happier.

AOS is complete. Interview was quick and easy, person was very nice. Thanks for all who helped esp. with the information on travel to Russia. We are expecting child in Jan07 and are thinking of trying to get her parents to visit us during that time so if any of ya have some insight on getting parents a US visa to visit it would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to all those still on the immigration road.

I am curious how long it takes (generally) for a K1 petition to clear the NVC and make it to the Moscow consulate. How long did you guys wait for? Also, do they notify you when they recieve and send it?
Our timeline is not the best to be compared to as file was lost (misplaced) for 85 days making total days from NOA2 to "receivied by consulate" 94 days.

Slim,
Big Congrats to you and Elena!

A big surprise when I opened the letter and found we have our interview date on her birthday!
On the I797C one thing it seems to be asking for that I thought strange is "birth certificates for your spouse's children not living with you". Why would this be needed? My kids from previous marraige live with their Mom and I don't have their birh certificates. Is this what they are asking or am I just mis-reading it?
thanks!

We were going to POE Atlanta but after reading many bad reports on these forums we went with Dallas instead and had no problems at all.
