My husbands oath is scheduled for October 21.
-
Just got the e-mail that my husband in in line for the oath ceremony. Yay for being almost finished.
-
Just take what they have listed. My husband took everything and the only thing they asked for during his interview was his permanent resident card and license but I am guessing it is on a case by case basis. He was stressed about the interview. Once he arrived and signed in it took 20 minutes including wait time.

I don't know why people have their greencard in the wallet and not at home in a safe place.
He once got stopped and was told he needed to carry it with him. He is a rule follower.
From the USCIS website:
"A green card is issued to all permanent residents as proof that they are authorized to live and work in the United States. If you are a permanent resident age 18 or older, you are required to have a valid green card in your possession at all times. Current green cards are valid for 10 years, or 2 years in the case of a conditional resident, and must be renewed before the card expires."

I just heard from my husband and the interview went great. He said the lady who interviewed him was very nice and had a good sense of humor. Now we wait for the oath ceremony

I did my interview today. It was quite nice, I'm waiting to receive my oath ceremony letter soon.
Congrats! My husband has his in Memphis today. I will update how it goes later.

He found it an hour later and made it to Memphis.

My husband was about to leave for his interview tomorrow and his pr card is not in his wallet. We have no idea where it could be. We have his old card and the approval letter removing his conditions. What should we do?
-
He was here on a student visa and then had a 1 year work visa. He returned to Brazil and then immigrated here on a k1 visa. He was 26 at that time. He is 36 now.

Thanks!

Is it always listed on the interview letter to bring any evidence of selective service registration? My husband became a resident when he was 26 so we do not have anything.

Is it normal to get 2 e-mails? We got one on the 5th saying we were in line. We got another one on the 6th that said the interview has been scheduled. Will we be getting something in the mail soon?
-
We just received our inline e-mail today (8/5). That was fast

Thanks Kash. We live 2 hours away from Atlanta but live in Tennessee. I have no idea how to tell which field office haha.

We just mailed my husbands n-400 today. He has been a permanent resident since 8/16/06.
I should add that we mailed it to TX. I am not sure which field office we will be at...is there a place to look it up?
