  1. Well I must say that they are going strict on K-1 visa's

Had three interviews on 9th Jan before me..

Three CR-1's ... 2 Male's (Including Myself), 1 Female (All Approved right then & there)

One K-1 ....... 1 Male (Somewhere from Punjab) (AP)

One Family (5 Adults) ... Put on AP told to wait for 4-5 Months.

So in my point of view there must be something in this K-1 which raises the eyebrows of CO

  2. Well I only say one thing in reply that it totally depends on case to case & CO at the interview window

I saw many ..& many means seriously a lot who have not been asked this Rukhsati & Valima question at all

but to be honest now you have no choice other than to complete all rituals here in Pak

Make him agree on it.. Make him spare some time for you.. without the rituals you are standing no where unfortunately :(

  3. Hi, yesterday i had my CR1 interview, and CO did'nt asked me for 2 pics and never asked me to sign DS-230. but at the end of interview (which was last only 4-5 mins) that you case is strong and nothing is missing but we need to do some AP and provide me Green Slip. as i asked him that i need my passport back coz i have to travel to another country where i'm currently working, he said that once the AP complete,i'll have to come back again to submit passport.

is its normal not to ask 2 pics and not to sign DS-230???

nah bro. not signing part is not normal but not asking for 2 PP pictures is not a big deal

they haven't asked it from me as well but to finish the process you have to sign off

DS-230 as what I know off...

  4. hey hazel..don't worry until n unless you remember how you filled forms in those last two attempts

don't differ from the information you provided them earlier

Its an immigrant status now so there are very sleek chances of denial compared to non-immigrant

you will be just fine.. this forum is to clear up things not to make mess of them

its very helpful indeed so chillax and follow this all the way

    Stay blessed

  5. hi Mariam..I really don't endorse the lawyer's point of view at all

to be honest send maximum documents at USCIS & NVC stage n keep minimum for Interview day

this helps them to make up their mind prior to the interview

otherwise i m sure AP must be coming in the way which u certainly don't want

so act smart & try flood them with watever you have before file reaches to Islamabad

    Stay Blessed

  6. Actually you can get a professional job "strait away" just need to have your degree evaluated and see where your educational background stands. Some schools will offer to accept the degree with addition of a few cources and you will have a bacholers or a masters from a local university (if thats the route you choose) CISCO certificates are a little bit more valuable in california I have a few cousins who moved to california from east coast because of a large differnce in pay and value of certificatations.

ya I was actually thinking on the same lines bro.

just finishing up with CCNP these days so hopefully

will be benefited by this in US land..

  7. I'm gonna be landing in Chicago as well..I have a B.B.A. in Marketing from Dubai. Have a lot of work experience from Dubai and Karachi. Wifey told me to get registered with most recruitment agencies in Chicago. "Hunk" keep in touch as I will be flying out by end of Feb as well.

That's cool.. I sure will be intouch with you Imran as I hav your mail ID as well bro..

but not planning to fly before 30th June.. so hopefully you will be settled

there by then.. & I can take your advices from there on

recruiters could be the best way to get hold of any opportunity

    you take care..talk soon

  8. hey guys... just wanna start a thread for people landing in Chicago to start their lives,

list details about things to do after landing till 30 days (or getting a green card).

let know your best advices, considering where to start from if I have Cisco certifications and having degree in systems engineering.

Obviously cant get a professional job straight away, so what to do to pay bills and accessories.

  9. In Pakistan, one can have an Urdu nikah nama, as well as an English one. Should one submit the English one only (has seal), or an Urdu one + certified translation, when applying for their spouse?

    Thanks!

Sending Urdu one, English Translation & Nadra Nikah Nama will only help you less questions at Interview stage, so I endorse on sending all three together to NVC.

    Stay Blessed

  11. Our tracker was filling up a lot of space so I have adjusted to show the current 2013 visas issued along with the page number and post number to view those since 2011. I do know this tracker is not updated since the last few visas issued from AP but please it's difficult to find those so please please PM me so i can get clear information on those visas issued. Otherwise, i have to scroll from page to page looking carefully and it's really difficult since we share so much together here besides just who received their visas.

thank you for understanding... Have a great weekend everyone!!! and good luck to everyone next week and congratulations for those who received their visas recently.

PLEASE PM ME IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR INFORMATION ON THE TRACKER! WILL UPDATE ASAP

hi EAbbas...bro. can you update my status as interviewed on 9th Jan 2013 and visa issued on same date without any AP...

    much appreciated..

  12. thanks...yeah i guess it must just be an honest mistake by the consulate...i just wonder why its very much important for me to come back to manila and do this...since i had gone through the finger scanning before i was interviewed...but yup gotta fly back to manila on monday and just hope and pray that everything is as clear as what they say it is...

don't worry if its there mistake then they won't trouble you

hope its not any of there checks which came positive..

but be +ve you haven't done anything wrong here..

  13. I'm a newbie here and i really just want to try and ease my mind about this visa processing. I had a call early this morning by someone in the manila embassy telling me that i had skip some procedures during my interview, she said that the consulate failed to verify my finger print during my interview and they wanted me to come back to the embassy, she also asked me if i am back in Cebu and i said yes and told me to hold on as she asked the consul for something then said they are very sorry but that i really have to come back to manila and do the finger verification scan. Its been a week since my interview which was last January 4 and the consulate didn't tell me outright that i was approved but just told me to wait for my name to be called after the interview for some instruction from someone in window 72. The guy their just told me to wait for my visa and to leave my mailing instructions on the 2GO window, so i assumed i was done and approved. And now that i am being called back for the consulates mistake as they say it was, my mind is boggled that i had to sign-up here and ask anyone if they had gone through the same thing or if they ever called back to the embassy coz they are being in administrative processing or some security checks...thanks for anyone who care to share a penny of their thoughts to this...:):):)

sorry but never heard of it before...

but i reckon you gotto do what got to...so carry on

must be just a routine check or a mistake by the embassy people to cover on..

  14. Many Many Congratulations on your Approval. My Fiancee's interview is on the 18th of January, this coming Friday and I will be accompanying her. I have a couple of questions, firstly, how much was the shuttle fees, and secondly, did you notice any females who were having their interviews that day and if you did, how did it seem that their interviews went? I hope our interview goes as smoothly as yours went. Once again, Congratulations :)

Thanks heaps bro. wasn't expecting it though..

Now they are taking a flat rate for Shuttle which is Rs.500/person

but ya there was one girl called before me & co-incidentally

we both had our medical done at same hospital on same day

at Karachi so kinda knew her before..

she was asked very briefly n precisely I should say

few normal n formal questions about her husband n

then she was told you are approved..

so don't stress specially when as a US Citizen you are joining

her for the interview..added bonus for the beneficiary!!

All I can say is be optimistic and sure about your relationship..that's it!!

Wish you a good experience there and stay blessed..
