Woot!!! Grats!
It such a relief and a bit of an unrealistic feeling I still catch myself going to check online status out of habit lol

-
Hey all! I posted yesterday that we received the "welcome" notice which stated we should receive the card in 3 weeks....well it arrived today! we are so happy!!! champagne time!!!! (its been chilling for months)
-
Grats!
We received the "welcome to the U.S." notice today....eh with all the work and effort I was expecting a bit more. should have the card within 3 weeks yippee!!! done with uscis for 10 yrs woot!
-
I have excellent news!!! check hubbys status today and woot! card production ordered!! should have that shiny card in 30 days we are both over the moon!
Diazy we were chatting about you last night and sending good thoughts your way for the interview on the 7th looking forward to reading all about it!
-
I have good news too! I received the interview letter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally=) it's gonna be on August 7, 2009! I'm so happy
Woot!
Alastair and I are doing a happy dance for you as well! We just confirmed that CSC has received our requested info now its just sit and wait for them to actually open it and look at it! hopefully no more RFE's
-
Hello! to the few that are left. Just a quick update from us, all info from our second RFE was sent back to CSC on july 10th heres to hoping its enough. guess its back to checking online status daily, multiple obsessive times to see if they have touched it lol
-
Don't you show evidence of your marriage when you go for an interview? I've never heard of an RFE to show evidence like that. What a pain for you!
our case had been transferred to California, so im assuming no formal interview, at this point I believe it would have been easier if we did had to go in person.
-
Hey all! just a quick update on us. We had received a RFE for medical and apparently I was just short on my sponsering Alastair (went down to part time work) We had the medical done and my dad co-sponsered, all info was sent back and it took them a month to touch it again however they did send us another RFE, now they are looking for evidence of bona-fide marrage...ugh why dont they just ask for everything at once!?!? we are now gathering info to send back yet again. will update again once we have more info to share.
Glad to hear things are finally moving for you again Diazy! good luck

hey itzy, I checked touches the regular way through cris, noticed the dates were changing but not the status until it said RFE sent on 4/2. As JillA said I wouldnt worry about AP if you have it in hand obviously it was sent so they have record of it somewhere, maybe they still have not sorted out whatever problems they were having with cris for all claims.
JillA- enjoy your trip home
-
Oh drat! I spoke too soon case touched again today "request for additional evidence sent" on 4/2/09 can be either of 2 things the medical or my income guess we will just have to wait and see.
-
hey guys quick update on us.
We went down to ss office yesterday and hubbys card should be received within 2 weeks. Checked our AOS status last night and saw case had been touched. again this morning case touched. I hope this is a good thing. No sign of RFE although we had kind of expected one. Its just nice to see touches on AOS.
-
Woot! grats to all!
Alastair received his EAD today! another step closer
-
woot just came home for lunch and had to check status online again, they touched our AOS! so they touched it yesterday im guessing to update it that bio had been done and again today...still says pending so no big dance yet but at least it didnt say RFE sent so good news for us im hoping it keeps comming.
-
woot! hey all as you know Al had biometrics yesterday finally! still cant believe we had to wait so long for that appt! Apparently CRIS is indeed back up and running because I checked the status today and both EAD and AOS was touched yesterday, not only was EAD touched but card production was ordered! We are doing a little happy dance
mimigrant- How horrible for you to have to go through all that and then be stopped only because of a translation, it sounds as though you did really well in the interview so fingers crossed the "60 days" is just a standard response and once the correct translation is received you can be approved with no further interview/surprises
-
Hi all!
Alastair had his bio appt today at 2pm in Hicksville was really quick and painless. no traffic on the LIE which is always a plus! arrived a half hour early sat in the carpark for a few cos we didnt want to be too early. there was only 3 other people in the office so really no wait, but now the waiting begins again for us hopefully EAD will come soon so we can get him a social and onto the checking acct/state ID ect... and then the fun of looking for work. I told him he can have my job since I hate it so much. my turn to hang around the house for a year or so
wishing you all good luck on the rest of your journeys

YAY! Was having a really bad day today but when i stopped home during lunch i checked the mail and..........Al finally got his bio appt!!! omg im in shock...good to know they didnt lose our case as I was suspecting! bio notice dated 2/13 received 2/17 appt is on 3/10 at 2pm in Hicksville if someone would be so kind as to update the spreadsheet I would appreciate it. thanks!
-
Welcome to the boat Lynn!. Hopefully we get the letter soon! Have you called already USCIS Lynn?
Contratulations to those who are receiving their interview dates! That is so exciting!.
Itzy
Haven't called yet but im planning to on monday hopefully I will be able to get to speak to an actual person. keep getting this feeling that our petitions are on the bottom of a pile in the bottom drawer of a forgotten desk.......it really aggrivates me because I was also kind of expecting a RFE and we havent received one so it just adds to my conclusion that our case is missing.
-
hey itzy and itty bitty, im in the same boat with you! still no bio and no touches since case was transferred to csc. hoping we all hear something soon!
-
After Biometrics things get way too slow. No touches, no anything. FBI checking must take some time.
Funny, I haven't seen in other timelines transfers to non-CSC centers to get an idea of how long it takes. Any idea?
You mean its going to get slower after biometrics? damn I havent even gotten it yet. I said I wasnt gonna stress over it but im seeing people that filed in Jan that have already gotten there appts so im thinking i really need to call on it. have never called and gotten a person tho anyone know which number/options to call regarding biometrics?
-
i practicly lived on this forum during our k1 process i think i would have had a melt down if a co-worker hadnt told me about it. there are a lot of good people with so much useful info. i could never have done without it.
im starting to feel the stress come back now that we are doing aos, have to keep reminding myself that once its in the mail its out of my hands but that doesnt stop me from checking for updates every few hours or so lol
-
the check was only endorsment stamped it would be fine to use the same but if you feel better sending a new one thats good too. kinda stinks that you have to fill out new forms because an older version was used its not like they really change all that much. good luck to you with the rest of your journey looks like you've gotten your little bump in the road out of the way early so hoping for smooth sailing for the rest
-
the last letter we received was the transfer notice dated te 5th on Jan, what I meant by there was no one to speak to was that I was calling very late at night and as much as I know we all wish someone was there working on cases 24/7 I know there were no reps to speak to. Im really thinking working for USCIS would be a wonderful job and since there are so many cases and so many people out of work at the moment they could hire another few thousand or so? just a thought....
-
thanks for the reply. The only number on the bottom of my letter was for premium processing so I pulled the first notice out of the file to check it out went I through and automated system that gave me info I already knew and obviously there was no one to speak to at the time I called.
Im going to wait a bit longer before I start calling on it, it hasnt been there that long I just just excited when I heard of other cases around the same time frame moving a bit but for every one case thats moving there are 2 are still waiting from what I've seen so im just gonna try and relax a bit about it. Theres enough in life to drive me crazy without worring about something I have no control over

Hey all. hubby and I just booked a trip to the UK and had a few questions.
Hubby received perm res card last week we are traveling late sept im just a bit confused how we go about this.. he is traveling out on his uk passport but when we come back home he goes to which line? is it just that he presents his green card and uk passport in the non-citizen line? or can he wait in line with me and again just present uk passport and greencard?
I'm sorry if this has been addressed before im just stumped and a bit excited for our trip!
oh! and he doesnt need to fill out that visa waiver form this time either since he is a perm resident but what about the way over? hmm
