  1. Has anyone else had the experience that calling the USCIS 800 number is a complete waste of time...everytime I call I get the identical information that I have read (word for word) from the website and TEIR 2 is even worse They refuse to help even if they could...I give up calling if it happens it happens.

  2. Obamacare is a farce, it is the government telling you and me what to do! Obama was suppose to be a good president but all he has done is give away our tax dollars and divide our country. His obamacare only helps insurance companies(more money for them because they will refuse to pay) and hospitals/doctors(which overcharge for everything i.e a meal cost the average patient 58 dollars..one meal!) and what does it do for us it takes more money out of our pockets..I checked on obamacare....just for me not my family is almost 400 dollars a month, that is a flipping house payment! I refuse to pay that much for something i may/will never use! when i added my wife to it, it doubled,,#######! affordable health care my a$$...it is legalized stealing of your hard earned money! I would like to know for the record one thing obama has done for this country that has not costed the taxpayer more money...just one.

  3. It took us 90 days from filing to visa but we are not typical of the process I don't know why some get processed quick and other just linger on and on we are processing our ead and aos now and you are right it seems to be a never ending pile of paper and tons of money. We got a RFE because the local braintrusts at the uscis office gave me outdated forms to use, I have been there several times and each I come out feeling more stupid then I went in. I have heard the CR 1 is even more stressful because of the guidelines they have for it. Right now in the USA everything is slow and costs more and more, but can you really and truly put a price on your happiness? My wife has be here since May 1 we were married on May 27, she has taken up beading to pass the time until her ead gets here. She is getting very good at it. All I can say is be patient, be strong, and let your love guide you through the processes ahead!

  4. This comment makes you sound like a shill.

I'm not accusing you of being a shill but if rapidvisa can get a k-1 through in 40 days and everyone else must wait 200+ days then this is ripe for an allegation via the FBI of Immigration fraud because how else could you guys get this pushed through in 40 days unless someone in the Vermont Center is being paid off?

Elsewhere you commented about getting your Senator and Congressman involved and you were asked to elaborate.

Please do so, or are you guys just making up numbers to create business for rapidvisa.com?

What are you talking about? a shill what the hell is that and no i am not trying to get business for rapidvisa i am just tell you what i used. jesus yes i contacted my senator but all he did was inquire on why the processing times were so long. you know what i have found here that there are a bunch of rude people and that just because i got approved in 40 days i paid someone off that is the most bullshit thing i have ever heard! there are others on vj that got approved in a short time so i guess the paid someone off too! I think i will keep my comments to myself from now own i wish everyone luck in their journey you will not hear about mine again. I don't call peple names and if something good happens to them i am happy for them so i would advise you to not be so quick to judge people.

  5. Hello everyone, today I was wondering what would you guys think if your spouse returned your gift to the store??

Well for example in my case, my husband bought me a really nice Famous branded bag on my valentines, but it was huge on me,so I asked him if I can exchange .He said" of course"and gave me the receipt.i know it's bad,but I am now a mom, so I thought why keeping it if I can't use it? I went to the store to exchange the item.Unfortunately they don't have something I like. I love collecting all nice bags, but at that point I decided to get a store credit instead of getting something I don't like. Since I am now a mother I was thinking I can use the in-store credit towards the baby stuff. We have our Anniversary hubby bought me a flowers and a chocolate, I got him a nice wedding band that cost almost two grand. I don't want him to get anything for me,I told him prior to the celebration .

He got home and told me he felt bad because he don't get me anything, which I really don't care I wanted to spend the whole day with him though. But he said something that I felt bad quote" I don't get you anything because I am afraid you'd return it." Whoa I felt guilty now. What do you guys think if you were in my shoe.Share your thoughts.

Ps.i am not sure which category to post this,so please experts move this if I am wrong.thanks!!!

I think you are a wonderful wife ad your husband is lucky to have you don't feel guilty at all just hold his love close to your heart and give your love to him unconditionally. :innocent:

    Physical:

Photos of us together in the US and Australia on vacation

Considering we have made 2 visits for 2 weeks at a time and have only been together since Sept and engaged since Feb is this enough or should I try to find more?

    Thanks,

  7. Hi Mairead(?)

Just wanted to say, fair play to you. I think you're absolutely right and love the way you worded your thoughts on the issue. The system is failing its original goals and intentions. Also, the erratic way that some applications are processed with no apparent reason must be so frustrating for people. I appreciate that there are sheer volumes of applications to deal with but for some types of applications to suffer delays because there is a push on to address other visa types per politics (ie DACA), and for people to see other applications posted one if not two months after theirs getting approval when they still haven't heard anything themselves, is a genuine cause for concern. Once someone at USCIS starts to look at a case, it would be great if there was a notification that it's come to the top of the pile at least. As it is, it just disappears into this black hole that can take anywhere from 5 to 8 months with no word in the interim and no opportunity to ask because they can simply leave their estimated processing times as far back as they choose.

We applied in November to CSC and they haven't updated their estimated processing times since 5th February although they say they like to update it on the 15th of each month. So, people who applied on 19th July are now waiting almost 8 months but still cannot enquire and have to watch as some people who filed in August receive their approval.

I'm sure individuals at USCIS work as hard as they can but the system needs some overhauling by the looks of it. And its down to the people in charge to do that. If enough people bring attention to this via their Congressman/woman then that can only be a good thing.

Once again, fair play to you and I hope you get your NA02 soon so you can get on with the rest of your life.

    All the best,

    Karen

Karen I agree the way things are done all in all why not set it up where when someone gets a case file they work on that case until finished background checks and things they do are all done electronically anyhow and can be done in a matter of hours not days or months. if they did this then they could process 4 or more apps a day and if they have 100 processors they have processed 400 apps per day that is over 21000 apps a month that would be awesome and i know they would get apps that maybe delayed if those apps need more info or need further investigation those apps are pasted to a different dept. and the procesor goes to the next but from what i have seen and read one person does this and one person does that and another person does something else and so on... that is 3 or more people working on one petition that is not an efficient way to do something maybe it works in a car plant but not with paperwork my ideas are far from perfect but that can be done lol unfortunatly i'm not the head of uscis lol

  8. In my opinion we have the weakest policial representation in this state. I think maybe because California is a Democratic state and they don't have to work as hard to satisfy us.

On principle I am voting as Republican for the next major elections though I am a Democrat.

My Senators were absolutely useless and I had no Congressperson.

I agree I am not even sure that me contacting my senator actually helped me but I thanked him as if it did I am in SC a republician state.

I believe our congress needs a reset a complete reformat and os reload if not the special interest will run the country not the people as it was meant to be.

  9. Hi everyone,

I am the UK beneficiary waiting on my NOA2 at this time. After contacting his congressman about the visa processing issues, my fiancé got a call yesterday from an apparently very pleasant and helpful representative who promised to help investigate the K1 visa processing times. Now I'm absolutely not jumping up and down saying that I should have my case processed before anyone else, but I DO hope that by speaking up we can help reform the system by some small degree, to the benefit of all. Particularly in times like this where government/public sector cuts are being made, if people don't make a bit of noise and make their representatives aware that this is a problem, the system is not likely to get better any time soon, rather the opposite.

    Our thoughts were as follows:

My fiancee and I realise there are considerable waiting times involved when applying for a K1 Visa with USCIS. However, these processing times seem to be extremely erratic and are becoming longer all the time, at all the processing centres. The K1 visa was designed so that couples and families did not have to spend large spaces of time apart, but this system seems to be failing, and I would like to register my concern over this. It is hard for both my fiancee and I to plan our living arrangements, employment and personal life when the process is so hard to predict. I am registering this complaint with our case in mind, but also in the hopes that the visa system will be made more efficient and fair across the board. Our case is being processed by the Vermont Service Centre, and the receipt number is: Bla bla bla bla.

Aaaand suuuuure. I've seen other people being somewhat slated for this kind of call to action; 'it won't help', 'your case won't be processed any faster' etc..

Well, even if it doesn't help me, I hope that in whatever small way possible perhaps our one contribution will join many other voices in bringing attention to this matter. I encourage others to do the same.

    Did that myself

    noa 2 in 40days

    consulate has our papers now

waiting on NVCletter so she can take her medical

all the DACA have been moved to other service centers you should see CSC and VSC crank out the approvals now!

  10. Good spot! Hope this puts CSC back into a state of activity soon. Glad to see some DACA stuff being moved, since I believe many of us agree that they were the likely cause of the sudden halt.

I been saying it from the beginning but a lot of people jumped on my case about it

  11. Not sure you will get an answer as this posting is going on 5 years old. Plus CFO is not done at St. Mary's or PRISM anymore.

Here is some info regarding CFO:

    CFO:

ALL exiting required to attend. There have been changes regarding CFO so for sure read through their website.

Update: Please check the schedule of the counseling session before proceeding to CFO because it is country-specific and the slots are limited only to 15 per session (two sessions per day) for Manila and 12 per session (only one session a day) for Cebu. It is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

CFO Online Registration Form: http://www.cfo.gov.ph/pdf/downloadable%20forms/registrationform.pdf Complete this and print a couple copies to bring to the CFO seminar, it will save you time.

    http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1348:fiancee-spouses-and-other-partners-of-foreign-nationals&catid=140

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR (CEMAR and marriage certificate if married), certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together. From USC (copies of) - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common requests. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

** From the Family Code of the Philippines: it's 21-25 years old for advice and 18-21 years old for consent. (Some are posted on VJ that they were not asked for this, yet others have been asked, so be prepared)

I read the mandate and it says they have to attend if the are applying for a passport, she allready has a passport it says if you have a passport all you have to do is register with the cfo and pay the fee that is my understanding

  12. if you read the law or mandate it says the the seminar is for people applying or a passport and if you have a passport all you have to do is pay the fee and register with the cfo that is what i gather from the law to me it is crazy for someone to go through all of this and have a k1 visa in hand and not be allowed out of the country because of a stupid sticker come on give me a break1

  13. Are they now using US passports? I say this because it seems EXTREMELY fishy that someone is slipping through immigration without the CFO sticker in their RP passport. They check for it each and every time in my experience. Also, how long ago was this bribery for a CFO sticker at the airport? The recent administration has made cracking down on low level graft a major issue and thankfully it seems to be working. The CFO really does serve a purpose and it is not just to line the government coffers. When you have OFWs and emigrants leaving the country at the rate that they do it is important that they are informed of how different the world is outside the Philippines and what resources they have available to them in case they get into trouble.

Yes it does serve 2 purposes one it tries to say all americans are bad and that they should not marry such bad people and two it lines the government coffers with free pesos.

  14. Been to CFO too and yes they will ask for a picture but during that time I have no idea about that and good thing we have pictures together on my phone and that is what I've showed them. Yep they are kinda strict when it comes to requirement and what i really don't like about it was when they asked me several questions that to me it's a very insulting question.

    what kind of insultimg questions?

  15. The CFO is still very necessary, and for the most part does a good job. Some that do not understand the ugly truth about the Philippines think this process is just a way for the government to make a few more pesos. The truth is every year thousands of Filipino women leave the PI seeking a better life by marrying someone from another country. A lot of the marriages are arraigned, or brokered by illegal matchmaking agencies. While mail order brides is illegal in the PI, it still goes on there, because in other countries it is legal. The reason the CFO asks all those questions, and wants all those other documents is because they are trying to find out if a third party introduced the Filipina to their husband, or future husband.

The arranged marriages is clearly a form of human trafficking. Lots of these women go to Korea and Japan, and some wind up being nothing but cooks, maids, babysitters, or even worse forced into the sex trade and prostitution. The CFO tries to find out if someone is coercing them to contract marriage with a foreigner, and if getting married is really what they want to do. A lot of women are 18 to 25 years old and they think they will be helping their family by marrying a foreigner. Even the women family in some cases is the very ones who is encouraging her to get married.

The CFO cannot look at someone and tell if they are a victim of human trafficking, so they try to find that out during the interview. If there are any red flags, the interview and the request for more documents can seem like a interrogation more than a interview. If the woman is 18-25 years old, there is a large age difference, or her husband or fiancee has divorced more than one time, and she can't answer simple questions about him can set off alarms.

Under Philippine law, Filipino women who are going overseas as fiancees and spouses of foreign nationals are required to attend the CFO's guidance and counseling program to help them make informed decisions regarding their marriage to foreign nationals and to prepare them for their adjustments in cross-cultural marriages. Attending the program is a per-requisite for the issuance of a passport.

I think the counseling program is about the only tool the Philippines has in identifying Filipino women who are mail-order brides, or women who are getting married for the wrong reasons. That why it is still necessary.

Ok if this is such a needed requirement then why not one seminar for all countries not a separate one for each country I head about alot of American bashing in these seminars and some inapropiate questions towards female attendees. what the hell does the size of my underwear have to do with my fiance'e getting this sticker? Most people want to forget their ex-wife i know i sure do what does that have to do with anything or what made my last marriage failed (she cheated on me) who cares i learned from my mistakes and to make this a requirement before she can leave the country is just wrong if she has her visa let her go! she has aready been through enough with the endless waiting for some and the interviews to get the visa if she passed those then let her go she knows what she is getting into!

As for the swinger thing that HAS nothing to do with anything she can not be forced to do anything she does not want to and if she is forced then she can leave call the cops and file for divorce or take legal action that is part of the laws here.

  16. For background check do they call both petitioner and beneficiary? What do they ask? Do they get all your emails and calls? They ask about past relationships?

They background checks will be done by the fbi and agencies of the philippines they do not all you at all they do credit reports and other checks also if i am not mistaking
