Plan on filing for AOS in the next few days. Here we go again...
-
that's crazy they didn't believe your pay stubs, but your W-2's should easily put the issue to rest. i'd suggest getting another employment verification letter from HR/your boss too. hopefully it'll be over soon (in a good way).

i know it's hard but hang in there laura. try to stay positive and continue preparing for his arrival.

we met in miami. it was his first time to the usa and on an airplane...i think connecting/changing planes would have been a challenge, so i'm glad i met him in miami and made a vacation out of it!

yep, he's here. he's been here about a week. it's been a roller coaster thus far, but i expected that. all worth it.

Thanks ladies! We're still waiting on his visa and passport. The embassy was closed a couple of days last week because of the hurricane, and it was closed yesterday and today because of fet gede. I'm hoping he gets it Monday or Tuesday.
Laura, please keep me posted!

Leaving for Haiti tomorrow for interview. Can't wait to hear the CO say: "Approved. Bon Voyage." Pray for us!

Good luck tomorrow! Our interview is on Monday!!! I'm leaving for Haiti tomorrow to go to the interview...so excited and nervous!

Just read your post on someone else's profile. That's great!!! Glad he finally received it!!!! Our interview is October 22. I was really hoping it was later this month or first week in October. I thought it only took 2-3 weeks to get an appt based on the letter with packet 3.

That's what I thought as well. There is something somewhere (sorry I can't remember the source) that says police certificate's are unavailable for Haiti. However, based on Mbcadet's recommendation and Barbie_Vasquez's recommendation, my fiance obtained one. Better safe than sorry, in my opinion.

I don't think my fiancé had it legalized yet. I know he received the police certificate this week.

I requested expedition based on information I found on USCIS' website, but was told that information was out of date and my petition would not be expedited. However, it was approved a few days later. Expedited or not, I'm so grateful it was approved quickly.

My fiance is the Haitian citizen. I'm no longer in Haiti, but I lived there for two years. Thanks so much for the information! I'm passing it on to my fiance as we await receipt of package 3 from the embassy.
