We met in 2008 on 43things and were friends for some time. We share the same birthday and found that we had similar personality traits.
I was in San Francisco/Oakland doing IT work at the time; she was in Bangalore India also doing IT work. I went to meet her in Bangalore for two weeks in Aug-Sept '09 and our love blossomed. We found that we had an an amazing chemistry. However we only kept in touch a few times in 2010.
As January 2011 came around, we connected again over email. Ironically I was in Asia visiting Thailand, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka. We both agreed that we still had strong feelings for each other and that we should see each soon. So I decided to go back to Bangalore when possible. I figured that celebrating our birthdays was important, so I came in April. Our feelings intensified from that point, but I was not able to make it back again until October '11.
When I did make it back to Bangalore, I studied Microsoft and Cisco curriculum for a little while. For the 2012 NYE, we managed to visit Bangkok and Phuket, Thailand, which was a great experience. I was able to stay in India until February '12 when I had to leave due to visa constraints.
I returned again in April '12, and before I returned to India, we spent a few days in Galle and Unawatuna, in Sri Lanka.
We lived together in Bangalore until she had acquired an H1B from her company. We did some traveling in India and saw a few places before leaving in June, 2012. We both left for the US from India to live and work at that time, and here we are. We were married the first time 2 June at her parents home in Gangtok, Sikkim, India and again on 22 July 2012 in Boston, Mass.
Faith, hope and unconditional love are the things that kept us together.
