I met Sneza in an online social computer game in April 2010. We began chatting about more than the game. The more we learned, the more we like each other. By July, we agreed to meet. We were both a bit leery, having heard horror stories about online seductions. Neither of us had sought this out. We decided on a week at the Black Sea. She had been there before and knew the coastal town and could feel safe. She joined me at the airport and we flew south, and I could feel safe that there was not a thug around the corner. Seems silly now, but we were both a bit scared I think.
This week-long trip in September 2010 was followed up by a November weekend visit to Kiev. After the holiday's, we tried for her first Visa to the USA, but were declined.
Thus began a year or more of globetrotting. We tried to go to every country where she did not need a Visa. The list is long and it was every 5 - 6 weeks that we were together somewhere in the world.
By September 2011, we decided to try a Schengen Visa for Denmark. We got it and we visited my sister there. Due to a tragedy in her family, the trips slowed for a bit. But bolstered by the Schengen Visa, we applied for and got a UK Visa. We were surprised they gave us six months, but it opened the doors to new destinations.
This summer I again visited her in her country and stayed in her home this time. She lives with her mother. We decided to give another go at a USA B-1 Tourist Visa by applying for her and mother at the same time. However, we were refused again.
So, the time has come to get serious. I am just about to file my I-129F petition, but thought it would be a good idea to join a community like VJ for advice and support.
