  1. maybe u can help me with numbers for my list :)

I have mostly been checking everything around March 7th, and you have done an excellent job with your March 7th list. The only other one I found that wasn't on your list was EAC1290582623, which is still in initial review. Also, when checking the other numbers on that list, I get different results on a couple of the numbers: I find that EAC1290582636 is in RFE (8-16) and EAC1290583519 is approved (8-23).

Keep up the great work, and I will post more updates as I find them from checking those numbers.

    Hang in there, everybody!

  2. Oh my goodness, guys! After telling Tin-Jen congrats, I decided to check our case at the USCIS website, just out of curiosity. And there it is: APPROVAL! I'm shaking and yelling right now (people in my house must think I have some serious issue)!!! I will call my fiancé in a couple of minutes and tell him the good news. He has to get up in half an hour anyway, so this will be a great Good Morning Surprise! :)

Still can't believe it! I typed in our number like four or five times, just to be sure!!!

March is around the corner, all of you waiting will be approved soon!

Awesome! Congrats! It's getting pretty exciting in here!

  3. OH MT GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just checked and we got approved!!!!!!!!!!! (after 171 days) i can't believe it! i checked the number about 3 times but it is really ours and we got approved without an RFE! i am shaking right now.... my fiance is on his way home from work and should be here within the next 10 minutes, but i couldnt wait and just sent him about 3 texts with my german phone.. hahaha....

seems like they are getting into march now!!!!! keeping my fingers crossed for all you guys!

WOW! Congratulations! You must be the march 12 approval I just saw on Igor's list. Sweet! Enjoy!:dance:

  4. Thank you so much my beloved sweetheart, for taking your time checking the list so you can give encouragement in here! Yes, we will keep the faith always, baby. I can't wait to be with you already. I love you so dearly, and I miss you so very much already!!! <3<3<3

Good luck and God bless us all, MARCH FILERS! :)

Thank you, sweetheart! I love you and miss you very much, too! Yes, we will all make it through this with encouragement from each other.

...and thank you, nargie, for finding all of those March 7th I-129F case numbers.

  5. If it's the same one, I apologize for the false start. But I swear it wasn't there yesterday. Or is Igor's list just trying to mix it up to make us think there is progress? LOL!

There has been nothing from VSC. Something's going on (or not going on) there... yet again. 186 days estimated now.

Hahaha. I think that list does have a tendency to mess with our minds. The thing that I can never understand is how my number in the sequence can drop even when there have been no approvals since the last time I checked it. I can understand when my number increases because more people are constantly creating timelines and may be inputting NOA1 dates earlier than mine, but in order to go down when no one is being approved... are people dropping out? Haha. It's a mystery!

I guess the good news that I've been taking away from the list lately are the 5 approvals on 8/27 and the one on 8/28 - even though they are Jan/Feb filers, at least it's movement. It keeps my head up!

    Good luck to us all!

  6. No, you're not confused. I just took your original statement to mean one that was approved today. Did that one just pop up on the list?

i didnt check it this week, i have a lot of work with mi college

One of those is my case # !

  8. it is very frustrating - but at least, thanks to vj, we already knew what to expect... i don't even want to imagine how those people must feel who don't know about this forum and then call after they hit their 5 months mark, just to be told vermont is still working on january 16th!!!!

Amen to that! I often think about how those people that are "out of the loop" must feel. I'm so glad to have the VJ community to read everyday! Even while waiting for NOA2 approval I am constantly learning more and becoming better prepared for future parts of the process.

  9. Wow! It would be nice if they would pass that. It seems that there are so many people that have dealt with this type of issue. I don't know too many people (on a personal level) that have immigrated from the Philippines, but of the few that I do know, one of them had an incorrect gender on their BC. So I'd say it happens quite a bit over there. Their courts must be completely tied up with simple issues like that.

I hope everything works out for you all in a timely manner!

  10. I wish you the best of luck with this - I know it can be very frustrating dealing with birth certificate changes. When my fiancee went to apply for her passport they would not allow her to do so until she got her birth certificate corrected and the only thing that was wrong with hers was that her mother's name had a one-letter misspelling - there was an "e" where there should have been an "i". I found it very frustrating that the NSO rejected her for that and it ended up taking her several months to get it corrected in order to finally apply for the passport.

Just curious: How was your fiancee able to obtain her passport while having incorrect info on her BC? Maybe the day my fiancee went the clerk was just being extra-stubborn. Hahaha.

  11. My fiancee just went through this seminar yesterday in Cebu. After reading all of the horror stories on here she had mentally prepared herself for the worst. As it turned out, even though they did talk about the usual cases of things having gone terribly wrong after the fiancee's arrival in the U.S., much to the surprise of both of us, they also mentioned a few cases where things worked out happily. My fiancee told me that aside from the expected cases they discuss, that there are parts of the seminar that would actually be pretty informative for those who do not have access to the type of resources that help guide them through the visa process (such as this wonderful website does). She told me that they talked about what to expect as far as government paperwork once she gets here - such as applying for an SSN, adjustment of status, etc...

The seminar was broken into two parts with the morning time consisting of a group lecture, and in the afternoon was the one-on-one counseling session. This part could be somewhat beneficial for those that have not received their visa yet as it is sort of a "practice run" of some of the types of questions one may encounter during their interview.

All that being said, I realize that not everyone had a decent experience there (and I truly feel bad for those that came away terrified because of a not-so-friendly lecturer or counselor), but I just wanted to relay my fiancee's experience and say that my advice would be this: Prepare yourself mentally for the worst and apply your own good judgment to anything they tell you. If you happen to get a lecturer/counselor that is somewhat friendly, consider it a bonus!
