  1. My husband was approved for his visa on January 31, 2012 and he was told to call in one week to find out the status he called dhl today and they said the embassy is still processing it.when i went on dhl website it is still saying shipment on hold.how long does it take in kingston jamaica to process a visa?i thought i read 5-7 days

it is ready in 5-7 business days not 5-7 days. it is probably ready today or will be ready on monday. you guys should check the dhl website and use you airwaybill number to find out where they are in the process

  2. He has western union recipts and pictures I tried to get my phone records but because I have simple mobile I have to call the company to get it when I call and request it they said the only way they can release It is if its requested by the court or police

you did say he got the records but just not in call................ so texting is the way u guys communicate when asked that just give them a few copies and tell them the truth. have bunch of other evidence like pictures, passport showing all the dates you have traveled to visit, skype records, joint accounts, they may ask u for all these and they may ask u for nothing every case is dealt with different just be prepared and speak the truth always

  3. Three weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! r u serious wow. The consulate told me to come back for it the following Wed but because don't live in Kingston I told her I would rather do dhl which I did tell her that my husband booked the ticket for the 24th January. Do you know if the correction is made here in Jamaica or it is send to NVC. My correction is to change from CR1 to 1R1.

why didn't you just tell them the correct info at the POE

  4. I think that you are right that the holidays may have caused some delays. And maybe some POEs are quicker at passing on the packet to USCIS.

I have checked my welcome letter (it is dated 4 days after I arrived and I arrived on a Sunday) and the Customer Service Number on it is 800-375-5283. Make sure you have his A# ready. It will be on his visa and probably on the stamp they put in his passport.

how soon after interview did your husband received visa

  7. on Friday the 11th of January i was Approved    i got to the embassy at 7:05 for my 8 o clock interview my documents were checked by embassy personnel and was directed through the security screening area where you have to remove your belt and place documents in a bin. once security was cleared i then proceeded to a counter where i got my ticket number and a yellow piece of paper to write my passport number, name and address.I went to the interview area and waited for about 45 minutes then my name was called. i was then asked to hand in my medical, police certificate, my passport photos, and the most recent tax return. i was then asked if someone else accompanied me to the interview i said no, i was asked who filed for me and i answered, i was then finger printed and told to sit down and listen for my number or name to be called. another 45 minutes- an hour passed and i heard my name calling, i was so nervous but i took a deep breath and smiled. the consular officer an american lady was smiling and said good morning i smile and said good morning. Some of the questions asked were:

    Who filed for you

    where does he work

    where does he live

    who does he live with

    how you met

    when you got married

    who filed for him

who was present at the wedding ( i showed her pics)

    how you guys communicated

do you have phone records (i showed her)

how often do you guys communicate

as i answered these questions the CO kept on typing then she looked at me and smile and said do you have your passport with you i said yes at that time i knew i was approved she took my passport and said congrats your visa has been approved. please proceed to DHL i said thank you smiled and walked away. Jesus is great..   i called hubby with he news he was so happy

  8. Hi Good day. I'm only new in this forum and what to inquire regarding the filing of petition. My Husband was a PR and we got married last Dec 2012. Can you help me please or advice what is the first step in filing the petition.

    Thank you and Godbless..

you husband needs to file an i30 with the uscis office that is taking about 2.5 years now

here is a link that might help you http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/How_Do_I_Bring_My_Spouse_(Husband_or_Wife)_to_Live_in_the_United_States%3F

  9. So I just read about someone who got their NOA2 from CSC in a month and a half! While I'm very happy for them, I can't help but wonder how I can be sitting here, five months from receiving NOA1 and still be waiting? It seems that plenty of people who filed way later than me are getting their NOA2's so I guess I'm wondering if anyone knows why this is? Who at UCSIS randomly decides who gets expedited? I know military members get expedited but they can't all be military....

Just feels really unfair....No RFE either, just....nothing

my nephew is going through the same thing almost 7 months now and only NOA1

  10. Yes, an I130 petition for my wife.

I am beginning to understand, from input and replies from other VJ members, that the Alien Registration Number I had prior to becoming a naturalized citizen will stay with me for life and I'll need to reference it on future correspondence.

I'm just glad I received my first communication from USCIS since receiving my NOA1 on July 26th, 2012. I now feel like a human has placed their hands on my file and it is being processed in some manner.

yes i do think your case is in the completing stage i once received an email just like that from NVC and my interview appointment shortly after

getting a joint sponsor would be the best thing to do right now

  13. You talk of a husband, but post in the K1 fiance visa forum, and your profile says F1, which is a student visa. What process are you going through? Did your husband interview in the USA or abroad? While no-one can tell you the exact time it'll take, if we know what type of interview he had we can give an estimate.

F1 is not student visa its wife and child under 21 of USA permanent resident
