  1. It's better to schedule your appointment thru calling by phone. Because, base on my experience. I pay the visa fee in the morning and tried to schedule my appointment in the afternoon, thru online. 3 hours without rest.LOL :crying: And nothing happened. So, my fiance decide to called US EMBASSY and after 10 minutes i got my appoinment date. Here's the ---> (214) 571-1600 for calls from mainland United States. I hope it helps! Goodluck! :)

  2. Follow this instructions  Manila Embassy:

After NOA2 AND YOU HAVE YOUR MNL # (don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport and required visa fee (in Php) to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

    http://www.ustraveld...paymentinfo.asp

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number (normally).

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was accepted.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

    St. Luke's:

    http://www.slec.ph/u...l#required-docs

Have copies of passport bio page, confirmation page from scheduling interview online at embassy, and of course the 2X2 photos. (copy of annulment is asked for at times)

    http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

Preregister at St. Luke's, it saves time when you arrive.

CFO: ALL exiting required to attend. There are been changed with CFO so for sure read through the website.

    http://www.cfo.gov.p...atid=140#ThirdA

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR, certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together, from USC - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

** From the Family Code of the Philippines: it's 21-25 years old for advice and 18-21 years old for consent.

Such consent shall be manifested in writing by the interested party, who personally appears before the proper local civil registrar, or in the form of an affidavit made in the presence of two witnesses and attested before any official authorized by law to administer oaths. The personal manifestation shall be recorded in both applications for marriage license, and the affidavit, if one is executed instead, shall be attached to said applications. (61a)

Art. 15. Any contracting party between the age of twenty-one and twenty-five shall be obliged to ask their parents or guardian for advice upon the intended marriage. 3. so its the beneficiary's passport number i shud put not the receipt number from the deposit slip? and is it the US embassy manila number? do u have it? thnks so much

Yeah. Here's the info. Book an appointment by calling (02) 982-5555 and (02) 902-8930 for calls within the Philippines and other countries aside from mainland United States or (214) 571-1600 for calls from mainland United States. The call center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, Manila time, except on U.S. and Philippine holidays. You're WELCOME! :)

  4. The receipt number you should enter is the beneficiary PASSPORT #. And yeah, you should wait for 2-4hours after you paid..But the best thing you should do to schedule your appointment is to call the embassy.Base of my experience. :)

  5. Yeah. My fiance have been around the world and he said that the Philippine airport is the worst. And they charge you terminal fee. He goes, fee for what? For using the crappiest airport toilet? But let me remind you, never ever drink TAP water in the Philippines. I took him to ER after he had a small sip. So, I guess it was a blessing that there's no drinking fountains there.

  6. A lot of people went ahead and schedule their medical and interview without waiting for the notice from USEM Manila. I'm not one of those. I called NVC and got our MNL number but I'd rather wait for the notice coming from them. But either way it works according to the blogs and experiences I've read here. Call NVC and ask for your MNL number. Cheers!

  7. This is what's posted on the REQUIREMENTS:

    EXCERPT:

BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Your birth certificate should be a copy issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on security paper (not from the Local Civil Registry Office). If applicable, you should also submit NSO birth certificates for all your children, even for those who are not applying for a visa. You may call the NSO Information Center at 02-737-1111 to inquire on securing a birth certificate or visit their website at http://www.census.gov.ph. If the NSO does not have a copy of the birth certificate, you must obtain a statement about its unavailability from the NSO and obtain a certified original copy (not an extract) of the birth certificate from the local registrar in the town where you were born.

NOTE----- It only asks for your Birth certificate and Birth Certificate of all your children (if it applies to you). No mention of the FIANCE's BC. Hope this helps.
