Thanks guys for your responses, no its not the first wife, I will advice him accordingly. he was in a rush to get into another relationship after divorce from the USC. He won't listen to me when he travelled to nigeria a day after his divorce with USC wife just to get into another relationship

I am seeking this information for my brother who is getting ready to file a k1 visa .

He was married when he came to USA with toursit visa leaving his wife behind in Nigeria 2006. He divorced and married a USC shortly and got naturalized. Now he is divorced with the USC and trying to file a k1 for another lady. I told him this would pose a red flag for him but I want opinion from others.

Do you guys think he stand a chance with k1 route.

I don't think it's appropriate you're telling people the questions you were asked... they will only ask questions you would completely know if you were in a real relationship. People trying to immigrate under insincere intentions shouldn't be getting any help...

One thing I learned is to frontload your application at nvc with additional evidence, it helped our case.

Include pictures, emails, phone logs, whatever evidence to prove your relationship. This is important if you are going through Lagos.

For a cr1 interview, do I need to fill another form at Lagos embassy, I have a copy of the DS 230 submitted at nvc stage, just asking if Lagos also need the DS 156 and 156k for a spouse visa interview.

Please what is the difference between aos and I 864 regarding the docs your wife is taking to the embassy for her cr1 interview

My interview is scheduled on the 14 of Dec.

I amanazed at the write up, what's the proof that some people actually lied about being approved. I really don't think anyone that got denied would even have the strenght to login vj and start lying about being approved and comfortably taking my congratulations.

Lets not shout over what does not exist or make things up, this forum is open to different folks from all over. Nigerians are not that extremely bad!!!!!!!

You service is pre paid ie pay as you go, even here in USA if you don't havea contract service, you don't have phone log history. In Nigeria if you want a call history then you need to upgrade your phone service to contract and pay monthly bills. With a scratch card and flash system you won't get any call history.

Tnx all for your inputs, I have been worried about it but since the original of the certified copy was accepted by nvc, I think I will be OK. I will also come with the laminated copy of the original just incase they want to see it at interview we all know how crazy Lagos embassy can be sometimes

I am waiting for interview in Lagos and have this question.

I laminated our marriage certificate before I realized I shouldn't. I went back to the marriage registry and received another certified true copy which we used at nvc stage and was accepted. Do I have to worry about the original laminated copy since I already received a new certified copy of the certificate

Please help with your ideas

When did you get married and for how long has this traits been going on. This issues as commented by others is not peculiar to Nigerian men. I agree somewhat to some issues you raised like being bossy!!!!

When he tends to be secretive about his family, it is more often to shield you from being subjected to constant pressure like he is and not necessarily the opposite.

you may want to seek help and correct some of the character flaws.

Congratulations, when was your case completed at nvc

My case was completed 9 Oct, this morning I got email from nvc, I was almost jumping thinking it was an interview letter. It was actually email stating that the case has been completed and awaiting interview schedule. Lagos is not electronic processing so I wasn't expecting the case complete email according to what I read from vj

I called this morning and was told my cr1 was completed yesterday at nvc, waiting for interview in Lagos.

Wish it will happen soon so we can spend the Christmas together.

I recieved a checklist for the aos #25, I already corrected this and send back to nvc 2 days ago

today I got a letter from nvc saying they have received the ds230 forms but are waiting for my aos checklist to complete the case. Does this mean they have reviewed and accepted the ds230 package.

Called nvc but got the usual 20 days response.

What is the original of school certificate doing in the package

Yes, it is stated for atleast 6 months and yet we get rfe for even a month gap, its so confusing!!!! I got off the phone with nvc and they confirmed that any gap in between will definitely get an rfe so now Iam just waiting to get it .

The dates were listed as below

1/2004 to preset

11/2001 to 9/2003

So there is this gap of 3 months cos she was on vacation from school.

My understanding is never to have any gaps in-between the dates.
