Uhmmm here is teh number, I got it from my records from there, I hope it is still teh same 0212) 5517271 / 264 Tell her it is in front of the Centro medico San Bernardino (or soemthing liek that, she should know) ... you should tell your girlfriend to coem visit us in the forum you posted the first time "Gente de Venezuela" we all went trhough the process on our own (meaning no lawyer) and used each other advices and experiences, so far we have all done great in every step of teh process and also have each other when we feel homesick.

Although, I think some people got some free vaccinations at their local "Ambulatorios" she might wnat to find out about that

well you can not dowload this forms, these forms are filled out when she goes to the docotr appointed by the embassy for the exam, these doctor wll fill out all these forms, and will give her a sealed envelope with teh resultas that she can not open, she has to take to teh interview like that, one piece of advice, tell her to ask teh doctor for copies before he seals te envelope... does she live in Caracas? if she does the doctor in Clinica Sanatrix is an old man but fairly nice, does everything quickly and can get appointment fairly quickly, this exam costs 200.000 Bs no matter who she goes to... This is what it says on the website, read it carefully, I remember that when i was in this process I was so stressed out nothing made sense even if it was obvious, where it says "bring originals" tehy mean to teh interview not to the doctor becasue these forms are only in hands of teh doctor. Do tell your girlfriend to find her vaccination records of whatever she has had so that he can fill it out and she doesn't have to pay extra for vaccinations... if she has to get vaccinations or she can't remember if she has had them tell her to go to Vacuven, they're pirces are pretty good. Hope all this helps, anymore questions we can answer feel free to ask, we have already gone trhough this process.

I am the Venezuelan, my husband is teh USC... you can forget about packets 3 and 4... once you are aporvved, have all teh documents ready, absoluteley everything she needs for teh interview and then YOU write to the Caracas ambassy giving them teh receipt number from teh apporval notice and telling them you have all teh documents ready and would liek to request and interview for your fiancee for whatever date you want it... then tehy will write you back and tell you when it will be... and then she has to be there that day at no later than 6:45 am (I recomend that becasue the day of my interview tehya ctually called at that time even though it said 7am), and that is pretty much it....

if you have your Green card, even the 2 year one, you are a legal permanent residet, it should say it liek that in the letter you get with your card, LPR status means legal permanent resident.

Mira Caro y Ana, yo no se comoe s la cosa porq no he viajado, pero estaba hablando con una maiga de Vzla q tambien esta aqui, casada, y viajo por primera vez a Vzla hace como 4 meses, y le dije q a lo mejor yo iba apenas me llegara la tarjeta, y me dijo q si ya habia traducido mi partida de matrimonio, yo me quede... el caso, me dijo q saliendo de Venezuela, como uno tiene q mostrar visa para q lo dejen pasar (si, visa americana) entonces toca mostrar la GC y q como el nombre de la GC es diferente al pasaporte (de casada y de soltera) entonces q te piden prueba de eso y q por eso hay q llevar la partida traducida, yo me quede no quiero alarmarte Caro, yo no le veo el sentido, me parece mas logico lo q dijo Ana y como ella ya ha viajado pues ella sabe, pero como en Venezuela lo fastidian a uno por todo pues a lo mejor seria bueno q te llevaras una copia certificada de tu cartificado de matrimonio y lo traduzcas en Vzla, asi no te ladishan tanto... eso es lo q yo pienso hacer por sia... pero bueno, no se. Yo sigo a la espera de mi GC nada q me llega (no todo podia ser tan facil y rapido no?) en fin... Caro q la pases buenisimo, a las de la reunion q chevere! estamso en espera de las fotos. Aqui estoy.... yo se estaba reperdida, la verdad, no tengo buenas excusas para estar perdida, simplemente andaba con los animos un pelo caidos... En fin... Caro Nessi FELICITACIONES!!! q fino q va aser nenita, va a ser la mejor amiga de Karen ;-) .... mi hermana y yo aunque nos llevamos 7 anos y somos muy muy diferentes cuando estamos juntas somos un desatre, auqnue cada una tiene su cuarto ella dormia conmigo de vez en cuando, vemos peliz, hechamos broma, vamos a comer, vamos de compras, le cocinamos a mami y papi (ella recoge mi desorden y yo cocino) asi q bueno, Karen va a tener amiguita de por vida, q bueno!! Anita!!! Felicitaciones por tu trabajo, q bueno, espero te vaya super bien ah! y felicitacione spor el carro tambien, a mi me encantan esas toyoticas. Q chevere q se van a ver, yo lo pense seriamente y lo toem a consideracion, pero como no se cuando vaya a Vzla. Ok.... So I only read the fist page of teh posts but I have to say something since I am from venezuela and witnessed, lived and suffered all of Chavez's presidency. Chavez is not a hero in any way, or for anybody, well actually he coudl be a hero tothose he put in power and are now rich thanks to him... but for teh people he promised he woudl do soemthing for, for the people who voted for him, for the people who put all their faith in him, becasue he seemed like the person that would finally do something for them... well, as many politicians... it was all a lie, I can not deny the fact that he did design some really good social programs and has really good ideas (not all, some of the ideas are stupid) unfortunately none of those great ideas are put to work teh way they were meant to or for teh right reasons, becasue he is not doing teh little things he is doing for his people, he is doing it for him.... anyways... I can go on and on... another thing... he might have been elected in a democratic and legitimate way, but unfortunately he does not act in a democratic way or represents what democracy is, there are many examples i could give you, but to make it easier to picture, imagine that you are sitting watching tv after a stressful day at work, your favorite show comes on, you are getting into it, then all of teh sudden, it stops and the president or someone from teh government appears on tv to tell you all teh great things they are doing for teh country or all the bad things teh imperialists countries are doing against us, you try to change the chanel but you really can't because everysingle chanel and radio station has by obligation to broadcast all of these speeches, that byteh way are not 15 minutes or 30 minutes long, they have even reached the 4 hour mark... now this is a very superficial and small example but it is teh best one I can think of to demonstrate that Venezuela does not live in a true democracy right now... you can't even leave teh country without being questioned by a national guard at the departure gate, where are you going? why? are you going to live there? do you have friends there? are you going to work there? .... I was in Venezuela during the 3 month National Strike, i went to many pacific protests, that unfortunately not thanks to us, turned violent, just becasue millions of us were walking on a street to ask for a referendum we would get tear gas and ruber bullets from teh national guard (note that we had permission to do those protests) and then som fanatic chavista would shoot and actual weapon that had real bullets, not rubber, right by teh side of teh National guard, in some cases some people got killed, in some cases thank God people just got hurt, but the fact is that the Chavez government not only is it not democratic it is promoting violence and classism, we were a united country, we didn't care if teh person sittign next to us was poor or rich, we were all venezuelans, now, he has taught the poor to hate the rich (no need to be fielthy rich, having an old car and a small apartment is enough reason to be hated) and the rest to be afraid of teh poor, crime has more than doubled since he has been in power and one the first things he promised wich was to eliminate all homeless kids becasue he was going to find him homes and create programs for them, not only has not happened, but the amount of homeless kids on the streets has grown exponentially... Now, I think it is gettign complicated and I am getting passionate... I know it is hard for people who don't live there and have not seen the situation from close enough to understand why he is not a good guy and why we think he is crazy and he is defenetly not what South America needs, but I tried my best, teh only thing i can tell to all those who think he is great or want to know the truth is to go to Venezuela, move there, try to make a living, and then make up your own mind. And... about the speech, all I can say that he is showing his true colors, he is lettign teh world know what kind of person he is and how much embarrasment he can cause to teh people in his country... now, for those of you who think I might hate chavez but love Bush or for those who love Chavez becasue he hates Bush... let me tell you something, I dislike both of them with the same passion, maybe Chavez with more passion because he is damaging my country in a terrible way.... and also if you could understand spanish and could really feel what he says when he speaks, you would realize that Chavez and Bush are more alike than you ever imagine... I hope all this makes sense, and for those of you who understand us and why we are so sad, mad, worried, embarrased, etc etc, please pray for us (or whatever you do) so that one day soon we can say goodbye to Chavez and all his friends in power.

si vale... conchale cuando vi el pasaje en $199 con impuestos incluidos me emocione mas todavia... porq los q habia visto estaban en $400 y pico y dije q ni modo, pero por no dejar, chequee desde Raleigh y estaba en $199 y Hal dijo q me llevaba (son 3 horas, asi q no es cosa facil) ... asi q bueno... no nos emocionemos del todo todavia, estoy sacando cuentas.... tengo q pensarlo bien, porq la cosa es q si mis pas no pueden venir en navidad (si no le dan la visa a ma y hermana) pues yo tengo q ir... en fin.... quiero pero me miedo q luego no tenga $... pero si quiero seria lo maximo!!!

escribo rapidito porq estoy en el trabajo.... Primero, carola, q susto con Jon vale, yo hice como Cami y pegue un grito tambien y le eche el cuento a Hal, q bueno q ya esta bien vale. CaroNessi, conchale pore Karen y pobres todos, si pudiera les hago la sopita de pollo y fideos q me hace mami cuando me enfermo, espero se mejoren pronto. Eso de las loncheras es burda de triste, yo siemrpe reniego contra la comida q dan aqui en los colegios me parece el colmo y despues van y demandan a Mc Donalds porque tienen un nino obeso, q les puedo decir.... y las loncheras ni hablar, son almuerzos tristes, lo peor es q llegan a lacasa y la cena segurito y es un chef boyarde de esos metidos en micros... jeje. Por aquiando yo mas aburrida q nada.... llevohoras como idiota leyendo posts de todo tipo en este website del carrizo, jeje, hace tiempo desde mis nervios inmigratorios con la K-1 no hacia eso... estoy burda de floja hoy, lo unico rpoductivo q hice fue panquecas para el desayuno... jajajajaja. Carola, no encuentro mi folder de rectas donde esta el de manzana :-( :-( .... uhmmmm de contarles pues no tengo mucho... ah! bueno, ayer hice un propinon, super bien :-) ... eso es bueno :-) . Carola si he medio visto lo q esta pasando en Vzla.... pero siempre me da miedo, porq auqnue la oposicion suba y aunque la mayoria vote oposicion, crees q la cosa no la trunquen? yo no se, siempre me da miedo, ojala las cosas mejoren en nuestro pais... por cierto, esto es un comentario de gente con la q he hablado, se acuerdan q habiamos visto q el conde se lanzo a candidato de la oposicion? o independiente, en fin, mucha gente me ha dicho q es un plan del gobierno, para q la gente vote por el y quedar igualito los q estan... es solo un comentario q me habian hecho a mi q me dejo pensando... en fin...

Well my case was transfered to California and soon after that I got a RFE, I sent it, and 7 days after they received it I got an e-mail saying a welcome notice was sent.... sooooo..... I wasn't sure if I should get excited when peopel told me that being transfered meant no interview and faster, but I guess it is true... but the part of the rfe is possible, I got one and knwo of people who have gotten one soon after the transfer. In any case, good Luck!!!!

Carola q chimbo q no estuve aqui para darte la receta del pie de manzana verde porq yo siempre lo hago con manznana verde (de hecho asi lo hacemos los gourmets) porq CaroNessi tiene razon son mas acidas y menos almidonosas y menos dulces y eso le da como mas sabor a la cosa ademas de que no se hace pure sino q quedan medio cruchies todavia y eso le da un toque rico... si todavia tienes manzanas a visame y te mando la receta. Ah! Carola tambien felicitaciones por tu licencia!!! q por cierto... cuando recibiste tu tarjeta??? de q me perdiiii???? ahora caigo en cuenta, voy a tener q hacer backtrack de los posts porq no em acuerdo de la tarjeta....en fin felicitacione spor todito!!!!! I got a rfe for my medical examination even though it said it was not needed if you entered with a K-1 visa... anyways.... I had no copy of it either becasue the doctor at home didn't give me one... so... unfortunately I had to go do it here, it was expensive but I took som vaccine records I had from home from a long time agao and teh doctor accpeted those and teh one that wasn't there he tested for wich was cheapoer than gettign the vaccine, but othe rthan that I had to do it over again and it was $320 ... if I would've had to do it all and get everything it would've been $415 wich is what they told me at 2 of teh doctors I could've gone here. Good luck!
