Yes it does. Thank you for your help.
Did they focus more on the N400 or I-751?.

I got an interview letter for N-400 only.

From our experience interview for N400 is basically the test and rest is going over the good character questions.

Focus was also on I-751 . Like mentioned earlier questions related to relationship. Officer questioned both of us like what you like or dislike one thing about your spouse and what kind of work we do.

Just be honest and DO NOT lie and you should be fine.

Did your interview letter say it will be a combo interview or did they tell you to come with your spouse ?

No. The letter was for N400 interview . Since we have the pending status on GC condition removal so it was combo.

Plus Officer mentioned in the beginning of the interview. I think in most cases like ours it is always combo and letter will not say it.

But if you have scenario like ours then highly recommend to have your Spouse with you.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Thanks everyone for sharing experience . It was very informational and helpful.

April 2018 I 751 filer. Case was moved to NBC.With current process pending we filed for naturalization in April 2019.

The time line was showing August 2020 but we had or combo earlier this week.

It was a great experience. Officer was very helpful and we had great conversation.

GC condition removal : Questions were related to the relationship : how we met and where we live , work etc.

    N400

Civic : What does the President's cabinet do ; what did the declaration of independence do and other I do not remember .

English : Reading : how many senators we have ; W : We have one hundred senators

Post interview the officer gave us verbal approval and told us to wait for couple of weeks to receive the letter for Oath Ceremony.

Checked online both cases are officially approved and we are waiting for letter for Oath Ceremony.

We personally feel filing N400 helped our overall case process to move faster.

Best of luck to all who are out there still in progress. Things are moving better now.

    Thanks

we already sent all of them except children and mortgage when we first submit 751. they ask more, so frustrated!

I understand it’s not easy . I would say share everything since you got your GC or when you arrive here . Include pics and travel itinerary and hotel bookings if you did . Also , share couple of statements of credit card , bank account or investment account and insurance slips for months spanning through time you arrive to till now .

Hope this help. Good luck !

Question- Is it mandatory to inform them of change of address??? What happens if we donot?

    Just curious

Yes it is . Since you are in immigration process the authorities should have the updated information of you Incase they want to get hold of you .

Beside if you don’t then how you plan to receive any updates to you .

    thats my thought!

    This is weird .

Our case revived date with CSC is April 14th .

and when I checked in online account there is  no update and it just says case received .

but when I tried case status tracker it won’t even recognize the receipt number .

and I see people who filed after my filing date are getting updates .

is it bcz of case being transferred bcz ours wasn’t

I am not sure about the processing now does anyone have the same issue ?

Okay so by seeing all these updates I called in uscis .

they couldn’t find my case so transferred me to immigration officer helpline .

finally got an update that bio metric is scheduled for March 12 and notice is sent out last week so expect it anyday now .

    Things are moving forward !!!

  9. Okay here is my recent experience :

filed my application at CSC in mid April.

recieved NOA in end of the May.

After that no information on bio metrics .

I called in July first week for the update . Didn’t get transferred to second level but the person was very helpful and request is created to look into my case .

towards end of July received another letter saying applications are backed log and expect a delay .

also they might use previous biometrics information .

summary : just hang in there and no need to panic . Someone posted that cases are being transferred to another center to help processing time so  things will move soon.

    goodluck !

I filed my I-751 in April 2018 and received I-797 on 5/23/2018. I am still waiting for my biometrics appointment letter. My question is regarding I-797 letter which I have received. The letter shows petitioner and beneficiary as the same person that is my wife (who is a conditional green card holder). Is it supposed to be the same person's name or different?

    Yes this is fine .

Hi all, found this forum yesterday and am glad but also frustrated to see others in the same boat. Mailed April 11th, received April 12th by CSC and nothing further. Spoke to two different tier 1 agents last week, one who told me my case was open but couldn't tell me anything more. The second agent I spoke to, I asked whether I was able to continue working whilst waiting for the NOA and was told no. My GC expires on Sunday which means I'll be on unpaid leave. Additionally, I live in at at-will employment state and the company I work for has been known to pink slip people for lesser things than having an expired GC...

You should talk to a immigration lawyer .

i talked to one earlier and lawyer told me you should be able to work while waiting for NOA. I don’t know the process for that but just a thought
