  1. Hi JV,my friends and for those who know about our Ir1 visa been denied at the embassy in Lagos mainly because my wife made it to Nigeria once due to failing health problem and manage to work....our petition will be sent to USCIS for review,my wife want to try to come to Nigeria but her doctor said her health situation can't really allow her travelling because of her chronic asthmas and said even if she comes one more to Nigeria it is risky because her asthma can trigger anytime and need medical attention and even in the states she need someone to stay with her as not good living alone but unfortunately our visa was denied but we want to apply for visiting so I can atleast visit her and help her aswell due to her health status because we have long way for the petition to be re-affirmed by USCIS as it can take up to a year we cant stay that long apart...if anyone have been approved visiting visa in Lagos after denial we are seeking some advise from peoples experience if the Embassy can approved visiting visa if we present all neccesary documents and be able to visit my wife back and forth till our patition will be re-affirmed for second interview

    I hope the embassy won't think I might want to stay back because my visa was denied..not at all I never had intention of stay back in the U.S but just to be able to visit my wife

    What is the probability if getting the visiting Visa and what can be done to convince the embassy?

    We will appreciate advices

  2. We got met in 2009 and we met in 2011 JAN not 2007...to those of you mistaken

    HERE IS THE LETTER FROM MY WIFE

    =========================================================================================================================

    To whom it may concern,

    I am Mrs ================ and I have petitioned for my spouse Mr ================== to immigrate to the United States from Nigeria. My husband had his interview at the US consulate in Lagos Nigeria on February 4th 2013. He has informed me that they did not issue him the visa we were anticipating and they are intending to return our petition to USCIS for possible revocation. My husband stated that he correctly answered every questions been asked. The consular officer did not inspect the abundant evidence we provided of our relationship and seemed to concentrate on finding fault in our evidence of commination.

    I have only been to Nigeria once, (01/01/2011 to 02/01/2011 ), when I married my spouse and stayed with him and his family for a month. I had intended to return during the latter part of 2012 but work constraints and my recently deceased fathers failing health caused financial and physical restrictions on my ability to travel. I am hoping you can assist me in getting a second interview in Lagos allowing for me to be in attendance before the petition is returned so that I can avoid the long period of waiting for reaffirmation of the petition. I do not want to be separated from my husband after having endured over a year apart already and he cannot stand not been with me soon as we have been apart so long due to circumstances stated

    I wish to thank you in advance for assisting me with this issue.

  8. No worries, you still need to give it sometime.....it might have been at NVC building and they might not have review it yet but they will still tell you they haven't receive it but it might been in the building until they reveiw it,it will be in the building but you need to give it atleast 20 business working days for it to be reviewed and confirmed so that will be 2 weeks more,so no worries...i hope this answer your question

  9. Thanks Saylin,am not referring to Electronic Processing (EP),it is just making a correction of little lines on my documents,my wife called NVC and they told her that instead of me sending another form from Nigeria that i can only fill print and sign then send the scan email to them at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov.i dont know maybe they will accept it that way because i have already have one post mail DS 230 with them already at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. but am am just asking on VJ if anyone has experience that and if NVC tell anyone to print and sign and scan to them in correction of the original one...i have done it already, computer online filling of ds 230,printed then i signed it and send it to NVC email, that os what the lady at NVC told us on phone to do but those poeple can be funny at times and not them all give right information at times.....so am asking on here if what we were told by lady at NVC is right and if anyone has experience and done that before

    Thanks

  10. Hi Vj Member,i need help concerning my DS230 i have sent it all my documents for packet iv and i suppose to have gotten case completed and my interview date but we got an email from NVC saying all other documents are okay but there is a mistake in filling the address i have live since age of 16 years so they said i have to fill new form and send it back to them so my wife called nvc yesterday that if i fill another DS230 in Nigeria and send it my mail it might take longer and delay the case but we read it online that it is possible i can print out DS 230 here and fill and sign then send it to NVC by email

    Is there anyone have this experience before,if it is possible for to fill it online by computer filling then print is and sign it and scan it to nvc by email?

    I will appreciate any knowledge

    Thanks

    Texy

  11. You hubby need to prepare good reasonable answer when asked during the interview because it will be asked...but if you front loaded your petition at the stage of NVC it will help alot to proof it is real marriage with love, there are couples been approved with big age difference in lagos ofcourse, they cant deny because of age factor but you need to get prepared with alot of evidence and reasonable answers,be prayerful...God Bless
