Not sure then. I would contact CBP for your records.

I literally just finished sending in the request! Its a similar site. I was sent to a couple other outdated ones, but here, you make an account and submit a request!

Hope it helps someone else in the same predicament!

You are able to look up every exit and admission record into the US for the past 5 years too:

    Select "View Travel History".

I'm replying again, as although the site is awesome, my Canadian passport expired August 2011, and I haven't renewed/used it since, as I just have to use my Permanent Resident (GC) to drive over border. I'm assuming I'll have to actually contact and apply for info rather than receive it right away! Thank you again though for pointing me in the right direction! :D

  3. Hello Everyone! I'm back to this wonderful site after you all helping me 10 years ago with my K1 journey!

I'm currently still on my 10y GC, but it will be expiring in just under two years. I am finally pulling my weight and applying for citizenship. My two questions are:

On the n-400 form, Question 1, I'm down to two options; A and B. I've been married to my husband the entire time, which has been 9 years this November! Which option should I pick? Option B seems to require a tonne of evidence just like my original application for k-3, where as option A just has me as a lawful permanent resident for 5+ years. I haven't ever worked while living here (I'm a SAHM) Would Option A be applicable to me and the better route?

Second question is Part 9: Time spent outside the united states.

I have visited my family over the border in Canada Multiple times in the past 5 years. Our credit card statements only go back two years (To show when we purchased gas every time we visited) How am I suppose to come up with a list stating every visit time and how many times I've stayed over 24 hours? I've probably visited at least 6 times a year every year for the past 5 years always for two night and up to a week during holidays, but I do not have exact times and dates at all. Am I, to put it lightly, SOL? They are able to look up every time we've crossed to see if I'm lying or omitting, and I feel as though it may take a hit if I miss something. I'd greatly appreciate any and all help! My next step is to call in and ask!

I have nightmares already...nightmares of calling in and getting mixed info.

    Thank you!

  7. Add in Health Insurance coverage from your employer that has her covered, Car insurance with both your names on it(I know you have both your names on the car, but covered is something too!), Medical bills with the same address, Photocopy of both your drivers licenses with the same address. Any of these will do too. Just make sure you're sending in Tax Transcripts for the years spanning your spouses arrival, and your W2+copy of your return for the year 2012 (since it has most likely not been sent in yet and not been processed!)

And also, do not forget to photocopy your spouses Green Card! I almost forgot that when putting my package together and it states it on the uscis website as the first thing!

  8. FWIW my wife and I have NO joint credit card accounts. We do have one joint bank account but she has a separate one also. I am the beneficiary of her personal account if she dies. We attached a copy of that bank document. Some utilities are in her name, some in my name, NONE are in both names. ALL show the same address. So what? Some people have no credit cards.

More important are things like health insurance, life insurance, emergency contact information kept by third parties (such as doctors and schools) mortgage and/or lease, joint tax returns. Utilities, credit cards and such can be used to show a common address and are pretty worthless for anything else. We received our ROC without an interview and never had any of the documents you are worried about.

If you have a child, make sure BOTH parents are listed as emergency contacts and BOTH are signing such things as permission slips, even for field trips and things. I was the one that signed ALL docuemts for Pasha. This indicates that a third party officially recognizes ME as the parent of this child and that the mother has given me the authority to make decisions about the child affecting his health and school. THAT is powerful evidence. A fraud marriage may generate a jouint checking account with little money going through it, but woudl a woman committing fraud turn over the welfare of her children to another person? We included a lot of such evidence. make sure the school lists BOTH names on all correspondence.

Yes I have everything else I can get (Joint Taxes, Separate Utility bills, Car Insurance, Covered under Health and dental Insurance, explaining why my name isn't on our mortgage)

I'm just getting as much as I can from number 3. in the 'Evidence of a Relationship' information on their website.

I'm cutting it close with my Exp. Date since I had to wait 30 days to get my little ones birth certificate. And yes, it has both our names on it! Thank you for your help though, I know what I'm talking about may be low on the list, but I'm trying to include anything I can to avoid an RFE since one of the BIG things; my name on the mortgage; is something I don't have. I am however on the Homeowners insurance as covered.

  9. Sorry I'm back again! I've pretty much got my list down. But one thing I am concerned of is my name NOT on our monthly creditcard and bank statements. Yes, my name is on the account for both, but it isn't on the statement mailed to us, so it just says my Husbands name and our address on it.

For the Creditcard, the best I could do is photocopy both of our cards with the matching CC number on it from the same company, and send in statements from it in. Should I print out statements and highlight the transactions of us hitting the same Gas Station when we visit my family back in Ontario? Or would that be bad and they would think I'm in Canada? We'd trip there every 4-5 weeks to visit.

For our Bank statements, I can go in to get a letter written from the bank stating the date I was added to the account, account number and that I'm still currently on the account, never removed.

It's kind of a pain in the butt, and I hope nothing bad will come of it.

For his health insurance, I'm under it but my name isn't on the Insurance cards that we get, just my Husbands. Our son and I are covered though, and my SSN is known on it. The best I can get is a letter from his employer's HR department stating the date I joined his insurance, that I had been on it through 2010, 2011 and 2012, and am currently on it for 2013. With our provider name and account number. Do you think that would suffice? Other than that, I've got tonnes of bills from the hospital some with my name and some with husbands name on it, showing my name on it as being covered for the treatment. Especially from having our baby in December.

Anyone else have to do any of the things I did here because their name wasn't on it? (Letters from the bank/employer?) I'd appreciate all the help!

  10. I don't know if this is silly or not but I might as well try! I've already posted questions about filing for my ROC, and how my card expires Feb. 14th, 2013. I've been married for 3 years as of October 26th, 2012. Am I able to just file for citizenship, or do I still have to do the ROC? (because I wasn't married for two years when we started) Just wondering, and if so that would save a lot of time! Thank you for your help!

(Also adding in, I have never worked since arriving in the USA. My husband has supported me completely as I'm just a housewife, and I'm not entirely sure what this 40 work credit thing is that I've read on the boards is!)

  11. A little quick question here,

For my husband and I's joint tax return in 2010, my last name was spelled correctly. But for 2011, there was an extra letter at the end of my last name, and now everything being mailed to me (mailed to me as in, asking for Tax Transcripts) from the IRS has my last name with the extra letter at the end. I've already called and asked if it can be changed/corrected. It was then fixed in their system, but on the actual forms they cannot be changed. Do any of you think this will be a problem? I'm already planning on writing why my last name is spelled wrong when I do file, but I was still worried! Thank you in advance!

  12. Thank you Vanessa, and yes I meant my greencard, I'm so used to writing down my A-Number, so I referred to it as that! I do have emails and the written form for the home inspection stating we were both present, and even has my signature! If anything, that can help, so thank you for that!

I know for a child it most likely just means that I had sex, but I was thinking because both of our names were on it, it would mean more. I never have thought of it as a way for using it as a "Hey lookie here! we had a kid!" kinda thing, but more in the good faith, honest way. Call me old fashioned I suppose! But thank you, I know what you mean, and everything you wrote was an awesome idea. I will be putting down my married name on the form, and if they have a problem with it, they can always tell me there is something wrong with the form! Thank you thank you!

  13. Yes it does ease my mind a little knowing you and some others never received a confirmation, I went ahead I think yesterday morning while I was out all day and re-sent them, with a letter behind them explaining why they 'may' have been sent twice. Either way, I was smart and sent it certified mail this time, not just flat rate envelope. Having the paper with me saying I mailed it helps out too! It was very weird that I was told that I couldn't be put on a deed. A child who hasn't worked a day in his life with no credit can be put on a deed! Oh well, Thank you! Knowing you've got a few things the same as me helps a bunch!

And I will just send everything as soon as possible, if I get an RFE, I'll just send the birth certificate! Thank you for the congrats AND the help!

  14. Thank you for the help on quit claim deeds. I will pull out our home mortgage and find out who our title company is with, and get my husband to call them.

Yes, we will be using tax transcript -

For the quit claim deed - I asked the title company to make it say my name and my wife's name, as husband and wife, blah blah... my deed used to say "sole and separate property."

You should have a deed that says "sole and separate property" so ask the title company to have it changed and say, husband and wife, whichever works for you. The title agent told me you can pretty much say anything on there as you wish. I would suggest get a hold of your title company and see what they say.

When the name of you two are on it, that means, when your husband tries to sell the home or anything, it will require both signatures yours and his.

  15. Yes I understood about the 90 day time frame and when to send it, but I was asking that instead of sending it the SECONd I can, would it be more beneficial to wait a few weeks into the 90 day period until our child is born and then wait for the birth certificate? It's listed as the number 1 piece of evidence of a bonifide marriage on the USCIS website. :)

Thank you for the extra information to get people to talk about in the affidavit! I will write letters explaining as to why my name isn't on a few things, thank you!

  16. Hey, thank you BOTH for the super fast reply! I am so worried about name changing and wish it had been done when I got my Green Card the first time! I will put down my married name in section 1, and then maiden name in 'other names'. I am not hiding anything, and I have my names jointed on insurances and coverage for health and dental, after what I've read I believe it will be enough! And yes, that is true, anyone can have a kid with someone, but since a birth certificate stating we are the parents of the child that I will be popping out will have our names on it, our address and anything else, I didn't know if waiting to have a child first would be better!

I also never thought of filing my I-751, and then I get a Bio date around the time I have to give birth! If that were to happen, and things were delayed even further, I would freak out. (hey, I freak out a lot!)

I will resend BOTH address changes just to confirm it, there is no chances I wish to take!

Any other information if anyone else has input, i appreciate it, and I appreciate the help so far!! Thank you so much, you're putting a future moms heart at ease!

  17. For a quit Claim deed, since I am trying to get onto the deed for the house only my husband's name is on, wouldn't it remove my husband's name and just keep mine? I've been looking up information as to what exactly it entails, but nothing is ever straight forward, and I had a feeling asking you for help may help me instead!

I think your package will work out. It looks good to me from what I've seen in examples! If you haven't sent it yet, and you're having any doubt you could also order the tax transcripts, rather than the returns that were prepared, it shows more that the IRS received your taxes. But I believe either one will work. Good luck with everything, I'm already scared and I still have months before I can file!

  18. Hello all! I have a few questions as I will be filing for a Removal of Conditions (I-751) for my expiration on February 14th, 2013. I'll need to file 90 days before that due date, so just after the 17th of November will be safe.

My questions are, that for proof that my husband and I married in good faith, there are some things that I am unsure of that will work or not.

First of all, We sent a change of address to the USCIS (non register mail) within a week of moving into our home that was purchased at the beginning of September, 2011. I'm unsure if it ever reached the USCIS, and do you think they would be upset if I resent it Registered mail, writing a page in the front saying we are re-confirming the change of address that we mailed in September (Mine as the Cond. Resident, I was able to do online, but my husband the US Citizen, had to mail it in.) I'm just worried for when I start writing out the form and put both of our addresses on it for this home, it may not be recognized.

Second question, my father-in-law is an accountant, and has been doing my husbands families taxes since he became one thirty years ago. I recently saw that our tax return cheques were being sent to our old address at an apartment, and not to our home. Once I saw this though, the IRS was instantly notified of our real and new address. (Yes, I am thinking my Father in law, since he used imported information, our old address was still used unless there was a mix up.) I am worried that our 2011 Tax Transcript wont have our HOME address, and the accidental Apartment address still. Will this be a problem?

Third question, is that my name was never put on the deed to the home that we purchased. We were told multiple times that I wasn't able to get my name on the mortgage (which was fine since I had no credit, and it would have to be under his name) But I still wasn't able to get it on the deed? I may have to quadriple check, but my name not being on the deed may be a HUGE red flag and a chance for an RFE. My name is jointed with our medical, dental and auto insurance, but not the deed of the house. I am also jointed in our bank account, my name and his name on the cheques too.

Fourth question, my name for my A-Card and SSN was never made my Married name, and it carries my Maiden name. For the form in part 1, am I able to write it as my MARRIED name, even though my married name isn't used on my A-Card or my SSN? And under part 3, for additional names, can I put my Maiden Name as another name? Do you think if I requested my unconditional card to be in my married name it would work? Or will I have to pay money to have everything changed into my married name once it's completed?

My final and LAST question (I'm sorry I have so many!) I am pregnant! I am due December 8th, but I can file earlier in November. I don't know how long it takes to receive a birth certificate for the child, and wondering if it would be worth cutting it SO close to the Expiration date to wait for it. I know it would be a very good document to consummate the marriage, but I am also worried about my last name being changed, and being able to travel with my child if the birth certificate says My name with my maiden name, and then my husband with his last name on it. Then I could never use it as ME being the mother, because I wouldn't have ID for proof being the mother with my maiden name anymore if it get's changed into my married one (woo, I hope that makes sense!) If anything, can my name be changed in a few years when I apply for citizenship? Name finally changed to my married name for my Citizenship AND for my SSN? I'm entirely unsure.

In fact, I am entirely unsure about any and all of what I've written. Please let me know if you need more information from me, I would be happy to give it! I'm not a new member here, I don't have the e-mail anymore that I used with my old account, and the password has been long forgotten. This community helped me get where I am today, and I am so grateful! I apologize for making a new topic, I was unsure if I was to or not. I appreciate any help that can be given!
