  1. can u tell us(close to get NOA2) what r we supposed to do,if we r close to brake 180 days,or we already did.Just write some advice,in my case we even didnt call uscis any time, when should we call with some purpose.Or just write if u didnt make any move,u just got surprised when u recive noa2.

Not much we can do but just wait. It has been 189 days since I received my noa1. The best thing to do is to check the USCIS processing time frame today and tomorrow as they should update it soon. Currently, it is showing that they are still on the June 4, 2012 applications, the USCIS site was last updated a month ago with this info on Jan 4, 2013. Hopefully, we'll be receiving our noa2's or rfe's shortly.

  2. Searched the forums and didn't find any threads with this info. I saw this on another site and thought I'd share this petition. I am not sure if this will alleviate any future issues if this is actually goes through. Anyhow.. we need 100k online petitioners by Feb... a long ways to go...

"WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Give American citizens equal immigration priority with that of corporations before adding additional immigration reforms

We request an executive order, which would hire enough USCIS employees tasked with processing K-1/K-2/K-3/K-4/IR-1/CR-1 visas that the processing time is brought down to the same level as that of other visas. If budgetary concerns are a factor, this could be resolved by allowing the American citizen petitioner the option to pay an additional expedite fee to offset the additional labor costs essentially making this budget neutral.

The purpose of these visas is to allow American citizens such as those in military service to bring their immediate family (fiancé(e), husband, wife, children) to the United States.

Currently these visas take approximately twice as long to process as most other visas such as H-1B visas sponsored by corporations."

    See www.grefyne.com for complete details.

  4. Hello all,

My fiancee currently resides in Canada, however, she is not a citizen of Canada. She is a permanent resident of Canada who is originally from the Philippines and have been living in Canada for the past few years. I was wondering, will my fiancee need her police background check from her original country, the Philippines, and from Canada for future US Consulate interview? We're a long ways away from our interview and all, and I want to get everything prepared before then. Please advise. Thanks!

  5. Hello all,

I plan to move into a new place right before my fiancee from Canada(beneficiary) moves to the U.S. This is after the interview process and all, which is still a while away, and I want to know what we'll both have to do once we both move. Is there a phone number or a form that we both have to fill out online? Please point me over to where I can find this information. I want to gather the change of address information ahead of time so it doesn't affect us once my fiancee is here and I'm at the new location. Please advise at your earliest convenience, and thanks in advance.

  6. You won't be getting an RFE for the Consulate portion, for sure; but you'll probably have to keep an eye out later on to make sure that they'll route everything to the appropriate consulate. IF there is a mistake later on (around NOA2 time) you can have it changed without major hassle. When it comes to the SSN# they will probably figure out the mistake, and won't RFE you either.

The important thing to learn from this is: Dot your i's and cross your t's carefully.

If you happen to get an RFE (highly unlikely), it'll only set you back a few days... so don't sweat it much either.

Thank you, Celeste. Hopefully, I do not receive any RFE's for the typo's I listed above. I appreciate the information and tip regarding the i's and t's.

  7. Hello all,

I am the beneficiary and I recently submitted the initial I129F packet this past Thursday, July 27, 2012, and I noticed something I did incorrectly. On the portion of the I129F packet where it states, "Your Fiance will apply for a visa abroad at the American Embassy or Consulat at," I accidentally put Toronto, Canada, and it is supposed to be Montreal. Also, on my G325A I noticed that the last two digits of my SSN was cut, due to me typing the slashes into the pdf document -00. However, on the g325a form I checked the box for Other (Specify), "this form is submitted in connection with application for," and listed I129F. On the I129F form I have the correct full SSN typed out. Will I receive a RFE for either of these two items listed above? :-/

  8. Hello, I have a similar question as Simplyynina asked in the thread, however, my fiancee is only a permanent green card holder. My fiancee is currently residing in Canada as a green card holder and she has a US Travel Visa to visit me in the US. My question is, will this in any way affect our I129F submission or status? We are thinking about submitting the entire I129 packet soon and we would like to know. Your help would be greatly appreciated fellow VJ'ers.
