  1. OK, I finally have my interview date!! My question now, I know that my BF has to go and pick up el paquete #3, he tried to call today and the lady at the embassy told him that he has to wait between 1 to 3 months, is that true? My main concern is that our interview is in 3 months and I don't know if everything will be ready. HELP!!! tHANK YOU!!

the embassy will notify him once they are ready for him to pick up the package, he should received a telegram or something of that nature in the mail, instructing him the times and the days he can go and pick up the package @ the embassy, I don't think it will take that long perhaps a couple of weeks, but not that much, as per my experience. I hope this help and good luck!!!

  3. Hi, all, My fiance and I were wondering how long usually does it take to the process after being approved at the interview in Havana Cuba for Cuban immigration to finalized or complete the process including the military service release or liberation and the carta blanca in order to leave the country, any incite on this would be greatly appreciated,

    Thank you!!!!!!

  4. I was asked this question about being married in Cuba in our interview in Havana. (We were interviewed separately). I answered honestly that it was expensive for an American citizen to marry in Cuba, and so therefore it was never an option.

The honest answer must have worked because he is here now and we have been married since February!

Do answer everything honestly - both of you! The one question that really worried me was did he know my children and why not? (I was interviewed first.) What if they don't like him? We both answered this in similar ways - not the same, but both answered honestly, so that is when she said to him "you are approved."!

Thank you so much, this really help, and it is totally the truth, getting marry in Cuba it's very expensive and beside we want to be together ASAP. and Congratulation to both of you!!!! I can not wait for this journey to be over soon

  5. Hi, all

I already have an interview day for September 10, 2012, I was going through the possible questions they ask during the interview, and they seem pretty easy and straight forward; However, there is one that caught my attention :

Why you did not marry here in Cuba, where your families can attend to the ceremony?

I am not sure what would I reply to this question, since our initial plan was to get marry in Cuba but I was advised that doing that would take longer for my fiance to get a visa

any advise or suggestions will be greatly appreciated :help:

Thank You & Good Luck to everyone that is going through this journey!!!!!
