  1. Hi, every one. I have a question and any advised would be highly appreciated. A few months ago while I was at work I received a called from an immigration officer, in regard to my daughter's father citizenship, she told me that in order for them to grant him the citizenship I would have to write a letter stating that he is paying Child Support, and that he is a good father which is not the case, he does not take care of our daughter and pay child support whenever he feels like, even when there is a court order; her response was" well at least he pays" so I just told her that I was not going to write such a letter end and that was the end of our conversation. a few days after he kept insisting via text and phone calls, but I never replied or talk to him. I just found out that he was granted his citizenship not to long ago, now I have the feeling or think that in his determination to obtain his citizenship no matter what he wrote the letter himself or assisted by someone else and force my signature, this are all assumptions, but my gut is telling me that something is not right, therefore I would like to find out if that is the case, so my question is how can I do it and in case that this come as a true suspicion how can I report this to USCIS.

  2. Thank you to everyone for your responses and replies, I called them today I was told that I have to wait until the visa expires if that is the case, in order to make an appointment to renew the visa.

on the other hand, in regards with Cuba new policy, even now when they only required a passport and a visa to travel, they still need other documents and or permits such as being officially discharge from military service o la baja del servicio militar, which is our case. I keep praying to God that it will be ready by the end of this month or begging of next. I just want him here, the waiting is killing me softly.

  3. Hi, everyone. my fiance and I had our interview on September 10, 2012, the visa was issued two days later, we though that it would have more than enough time to deal with all the immigration process before visa would expire. However, up to today that has not been possible and our concern is that he has not been able to come to the U.S.A due to Cuba immigration and its very slow paced process, he still needs a document from them in order to leave the country and we been waiting for this for the last 3 months now. his visa will expire in March 10, 2013 and we are afraid of that of course.

my question is can we request an extension of his K1 visa, before it expires since this situation is out of our hands, and if it is possible what do I have to do to get it done? any suggestions would be a really big help and will be greatly appreciated, Thanks. :help:

  4. it I was you , I would go through with the interview, you can always submit the affidavit later or as soon as possible right after the interview. I already went through this part of the process and let me tell you Cuba its an exception to any rules, everything takes forever and longer than normal to get done there. if you reschedule the interview, it may be not schedule for the next 2 0 3 months, they usually give a month to submit any document that's missing and is needed for the visa. hope this help, good luck !!

  5. Hi, he needs to feel the forms completely, have his medical exam completed preferably before the interview, and yes he does need to make an appointment for the medical exam, then he needs to take the medical exam results along with the forms from the package completed and all the required evidence, like pictures, e-mails,chats, phone calls logs, ect.. to the interview.

I hope this help you and good luck!!!

  6. Hi, I have a question regarding Cuban immigration and the famous Permiso de salida, my fiance requested his since September when he was granted a the K1 visa, as it today when he went to see if his papers were ready, he was just told to keep on waiting, I know that Cuba makes everything very difficult even when is not. does anyone that's has gone through this painful process, have an idea of how long usually does it take for them to be completed and to give the permiso de salida, I am so desperate, my hope of us being together for this Christmas are almost vanished the way things are going :crying:

  7. I am so happy and excited, on Tuesday I called the state department to inquire about my fiance visa status, and what a nice sorprice they told me that the visa was ready to be pick up @ the interest section in Havana, they had issued the visa since September 12, 2012. we had our interview on September 10,2012 and they told us that the visa would be ready after October 1, . Anyhow, he went to pick up today and YESSSSSSSS, it was there and ready, WE GOT it!!!! I know that Cuba is a never ending drama and we still have to wait, I am so happy that this long wait is near the end and we are getting closer to be together.

  8. thank you so much, I was trying to make sure that the visa would be there before he goes, I hear that sometimes you go on the days they tell you and the visa is not ready, and people spend the day waiting under the sun and making long lines from early morning until the time they allow them to get into the embassy. do you have by any chance the number to call SINA?

  9. Hi, everyone. I have been trying to figure out how to check my fiance case status, through the Interest section's webside, in Havana Cuba, I know they update the list almost every week; however, it is very confusing to me and sometimes it seems that they are not in order, My fiance send me a copy of the pass he received the day of the interview to return and pick up his visa, but they did not write the case number there, I am going by the case number assigned to our case by the NVC( the HAV*****) any help from those that has already been trough the process, it will be greatly appreciated. :help:

  10. Hi everyone, I just got back home from Cuba, My Fiance and I had our interview on September 10, 2012 and YESSSSSSSSSSS, It was APPROVED!!! I am so, so Happy , Thank God and to all of you for your help and support. The Interview went great and it was not stressful at all, they told him that he can pick up his visa on or after Oct, 1, 2012. Now I just hope that the liberacion process and the other processing with Cuban Immigration don't take too long, hopefully he can be here for Christmas or new years, it would be our first, my kids are also very excited about the good news. I am continue to pray to god and keeping my fingers cross for this journey to be finally over.

  11. Thank you, so much, for you advise it really helped, I am traveling a week before so we can talk about it with patience and time and prepare physically for the interview, because we have plenty of evidence that proof that our relationship is genuine and truthful, the though that they literally hold your life in their hands, its what it is scary. perhaps I am anxious about the whole thing, but deep inside I am confident that everything is going to be fine and well, I believe in God. Thanks again!!!!!
