  1. yes the clinic opens @ 6am. but they let applicants inside the premise as early as 4:30 AM. and also each sections have different starting hours. i had my medical last aug 7-8 where the were floods around metro manila. i'm glad i went despite the flood because there were only few applicants there. i arrived almost 7AM. and was surprised to get #7 spot for online applicants. i finished early and they scheduled my immunization the next day. i asked if i can do the immunization and they said no. i asked why and they said it's because the results are always given the next day. and that's how they always do it. i have read somewhere here in VJ that if they schedule you for an immunization it means that you're clear! the next day, i arrived at past 9. finished immunization almost 11AM including the results. they gave me a disc for my chest xray and the record for my immunization. i asked if i passed the medical and they said they are not allowed to disclose that information and that it will have to be discussed by the Embassy. and also the releasing officer told me to keep my immunization record and CD as i will be showing that during my arrival at the airport. i guess that's my hint ! :dancing:

  2. just an update. for those whose wondering if they can go to SLEC without the hassle of the flood. i took a different route today. yesterday i passed EDSA going to Roxas Blvd as the flood is not that bad in that area. today i took the MRT/LRT to UN Ave and the street is a little flooded. i can't walk to SLEC from UN because of the flood so i took a pedicab. They said its 6o pesos but I waited to get a great deal of 35 pesos. lol! pedicab drivers took advantage of the weather. if you're not good at haggling, then be prepared to pay 60. when i was done with my immunization, the water already subsided and the sun started shining. :) so i just took a 10 mins walk from SLEC to LRT.

  3. SLEC is open today. I just finished my first day of medical exam. there are not a lot of people there today due to the flood. there was a delay on the operation because of unavailability of doctors due to the flood. but some doctors made it so they resumed the operations. i'll be back tomorrow for the immunization.

  4. hello. we received our NOA2 last July 20. and people advised me to call after a week or two. But i called as soon as July 23. and called everyday except last Friday. They will just ask your CIS # and just check if you have a case # assigned. People from NVC that i spoke with told me that it usually takes up to 15 days before it gets to them or assigned a case #. But boy, when my fiance' called last Friday, he got the case #. Isn't that great? But we're just waiting now is the actual letter providing us the case #. So its OK to call them once a day. They will not record who calls them. They'll just search your USCIS # and tell you wether they have it already or not. We hired an agency too to work on our papers but they said they're not allowed to follow-up at USCIS or NVC. Ridiculous right? Anyway, Goodluck!

  5. OK so we got our NOA2 on July 20 and my fiance got a hard copy of it in July 25. I have been calling NVC for a case # since July 23. Finally , when my Fiance called them last Friday, he was able to get it. So my question is, what should we do, now that we have a case # assigned? Will it take long to have a schedule for an interview? I am so nervous to get the medical exam but i am more anxious on what will happen in the interview. What are the possibilities that my visa application will get denied? Can you please give me a tip on how should i handle it and not to screw it? i'd be glad to read all your advice.

  6. Congrats!!!!

Now things will go MUCH faster!

    Manila Embassy:

After NOA2 AND YOU HAVE YOUR MNL #

(don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport and required visa fee (in Php) to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

    http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number (normally).

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was accepted.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

    St. Luke's:

    http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs

Have copies of passport bio page, confirmation page from scheduling interview online at embassy, and of course the 2X2 photos. (copy of annulment is asked for at times)

    http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

Preregister at St. Luke's, it saves time when you arrive.

    CFO:

ALL exiting required to attend. There are been changed with CFO so for sure read through the website.

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR, certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together, from USC - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

Thanks Hanks! This is a great help for me. I hope i get an MNL case soon!

  7. You schedule your interview after paying the visa fee at bpi

thanks sis for the advise. i will call NVC every weekdays. sana they won't get mad at me if i do that. anyway, from where are you sis? and where's your fiance in CA? My fiance is in Sacramento. I wish i can get an interview schedule soon. I will start calling them tomorrow. :) anyway, goodluck to us. ang hirap maghintay no? I can't wait to be with my fiance.

  8. i myself could not believe that our petition was approved. this is not to make you feel guys. but to encourage you to be patient. patient is really a virtue. we are April filers. we got the NOA1 on April 9. and got the NOA2 last Friday, July 20. me and my fiance, both set our minds that we will get ours in September and it came to us 2 months earlier. i think the key here is to not think so much about and set your mind that this is a long process and everyone has to go through with it. everyone will have their time. some are soon, some will be for far too long. make yourself busy. i recently took a position at work. even if i know that i will not stay for too long in my job, i still took it as i know it will make me busy and help me forget the frustrations. i think it also depends on how you have submitted your applications. what i mean are the requirements and the documents. i guess they're just doing their jobs of reviewing all of our applications thoroughly. i just hope when everyone hears from CSC/USCIS it will not be RFE. i wish everybody all the best of luck.

  9. Next your case will be sent to NVC (National Visa Center) where it will go through cursory processing... they'll check to make sure addresses are accurate and such, then they'll assign a case number before sending the petition to your consulate. This process may take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several weeks (CSC appears to be pretty slow to send NOA2 cases along to NVC these days... average looks to be about 28 days or so). I've also heard of cases that have been at NVC waiting for case numbers to be assigned for 3-4 weeks recently. That said, I've seen them also go through from NOA2 to receipt at the beneficiary's consulate in as little as 2 weeks recently. You can start calling the NVC about a week after you received the NOA2 to inquire as to whether they've received your case, assigned a case number, and even whether they've sent it to the consulate (using your WAC receipt number). This is also a good time to start gathering the documents and evidence that you'll need for the Packet 3 and the interview. Congrats and best of luck!

will it be ok to follow-up with them everyday? i want to do that, but i don't want them to get irritated to me and it might affect our application.. so 2 weeks is the minimum turn around time for my case to be forwarded from NVC to my consulate? i appreciate all your advise guys. thank you!

  10. Start calling NVC next week to get your MNL case number. Call everyday. when you get the case number, follow this instruction

    http://photos.state....3__rtf2_005.pdf

wow, i saw your timeline. they schedule the interview that far? almost 2 months from your NOA2? now, i'm worried. I thought once your get the NOA2, it will be easier. But i guess, there will be another long wait. Anyway, is the beneficiary allowed to call or it should just be the petitioner?

  11. We were just talking of how it would be nice to be together and that we will see each other soon and then finished the skype call. Checked my gmail and i got an email from USCIS! OMG! I can't believe it. i called my fiance right away and told him that our petition got approved! We were so surprised! We didn't expect the NOA2 will come this soon. So after NOA2, what's next? Will there be another long wait for getting a schedule? Can anyone share any tips on how to proceed with the rest of the process?
