POE tomorrow. I am very nervous and excited

Hi everybody,

So my POE is coming up on Wednesday and of course I am extremely excited.

But I do have a few questions. So my POE is Charlotte NC, and I have no idea what to expect

How long does it take to get through on average?

What questions will they ask me?

Just information on the whole process

In my carry on is a big blue folder which has every bit of documentation from the I30 to relationship proof to my tax forms and of course the sealed envelope from the embassy so I know documents wise I am ready, I just want to know what to expect

Also how long does it take to get a SS number and how do i go about it?

(I have an interview a week after i get there)

I have the big brown do not open envelope. that is untouched and fine

but they gave me this other envelope with a disk in it of my chest xray. that was like open when they gave it me basically and has now come open. is that a problem (I have not touched disc)

Ok. so i just realized the expiry is the amount of time I have to enter the USA and not when the visa expires, I think.

But it still does not explain why it says

Upon Endorsement Serves As Temporary 1-551 Evidencing Permanent Residence For 1 year

It is supposed to be 2????

I recently received my CR-1 visa. I just noticed it says that the issue date is 03 Oct 2012 but it expires 23 Feb 2013, which is only a few months from now. I know I need to file for permanent residency just before my wife and I have been married for 2 years, but as of 23 Feb 2013, we will only have been married just over 1 year. Perhaps this was a typo on the embassy's part? 23 of Feb 2014 would be just over 2 years we've been married. What should I do? Is this normal? I am going to contact the embassy tomorrow. It also says the Visa is valid for 1 year i thought CR-1 visas where 2?

I will be moving from the UK to the USA in November and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. Like what type of jobs are in Charlotte,the best place to look for work. Any information will be appreciated. It does not just have to be Charlotte it can be in the surrounding areas as I will be living 30 minutes south of Charlotte In South Carolina.

So we had our Interview on the second,

There was a few close calls like coach being 40 mins late and Victoria tube being shut down, but mad it on time regardless.

We got asked some odd questions and he seemed unsure, It was terrifying. But he approved us. I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CAN'T WAIT TO BE WITH MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE!!!

Hello everybody,

I have a stupid question, but just need someone to put my mind at ease.

So I have an interview scheduled at the London Embassy for October 2nd. I have a letter the embassy emailed me with a barcode on it telling me what I should bring and what time to be there. I keep reading about people sending off packet 3 and 4, so I just wanted to make sure I am doing everything correctly. I am in the process of obtaining a CR-1 Visa, so do packets 3 or 4 apply to me? If so, what do they consist of?

I am already planning on bringing copies of all the forms we submitted to USCIS and NVC, in addition to relationship proof (i.e. cards, chat logs, pictures of us). Is there anything else you think I should bring?

I have been calling NVC trying to get update son the interview, should I be calling DOS

I am just scared they will say sorry we need an up to date medical or they can't find it come interview time

I just wish I knew the date, I messed up with the medical, I did it way before i should have, so nervous that will mess things up for me

Hi Everybody,

So I had my Medical 08/23/12

and i got case complete on 08/27/12

So i called up NVC and i got this really mean lady who was being very unpleasant.

I asked about the interview

just to see if they have a date yet (I knew it was a long shot but what do i have to lose)

I then mentioned my medical and

Then she got angry and told me I should have not done my medical when I did it and will probably have to re-do i,

Now I have spoken to people at the NVC previously who have said this is fine

Just to clarify, I intended to mean that a lot of people on here are just as good as Immigration lawyers if not better in My Opinion. Not that they actually are lawyers
