  1. Thank you!!

What is the next steps now ?

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

This is a good thread to look thru...helped me a lot! When the NVC receive your file you will be able to get your LND case number which means you can then book an medical. Get all your forms filled out and ready to go...all the evidence etc from your fiancee.

  2. Have a good day out, the medical is a breeze so you can relax with that :) The US embassy is relatively near to the doctors, so it may be worth checking it out so you have an idea for the interview when it comes around :)

Thanks Gavin...yeah i've been to the US twice on short student VISAs so i'm a seasoned pro at getting to the embassy!

Well i'm just home from my little day out in London which happened to include a medical  Really straight forward...arrived at the doctors at 12.45 for my 1.10 appointment and had the additional questionnaire to fill out. I had to get an extra MMR booster shot as it seems the one I had in 2005 wasn't enough...so make sure you check into that...I had given the nurse at my GP clinic the requirements and she had said I didn't need anything!!! Oh well...what's another £38 for an MMR shot! Few minutes wait and then in for the chest x-ray...another few minutes wait and then I was called by the doctor. Lots of chat thru my medical history...i've had knee surgery...lot of small talk as she was checking all the paperwork. Had an eye test and blood pressure taken then had to lay down for a full body check. Then she took a blood sample, told me i'm very healthy and I went back to the waiting room until I was called to pay! If I don't hear anything in the next 2 days then my x-ray and bloods are fine and the embassy will have my results by the end of the week

Plenty of time to fit in a Krispy Kreme fix (or was it 2!!) at Selfridges and even soak up a bit of the Olympic team parade atmosphere...missed seeing the actual parade but saw the RAF and red arrows fly overs which was cool! Can't wait until I go back down for my interview!!!

  3. Hi All

Ok so I've been in phone mode today trying to get some finishing up of Canadian business. Now, I know the number is here somewhere but I'm exhausted searching for info. could someone please pass on the number for NVC?

    many thanks

    much appreciated

    Terri

Hey Terri. I know the feeling...sometimes you just need someone to give you the answer!!! The NVC number is 603-334-0700. Good luck!

  4. Boo! :crying:

I called the UK Embassy call center, I'm pretty sure it's not actually the embassy themselves. They said that their system doesn't get updated until the evening. What was a worry though, is that they said there's a back log and they're just processing August 7 petitions and I may need to wait for 6 weeks before I get an interview date.

I'm choose not to believe that, if they can send out packet 3s quite quickly they can't be that much behind. However, it has put me in a mood and I shall now sulk for a bit, so ner :(

Ps, sorry for being down when there are so many good news posts on our Feb forum now!

Well that stinks :( Lets be positive though...like you said, they send out packet 3 really quick

  5. Hi,

I am on 196 days and heard nothing from VSC.

Once approved for NOA2, can any of you London folks tell me what the processing times are like for interviews and so forth.

Anyone else waiting with NOA1 around the 24th Feb mark in the same boat that have an estimate on when they will be approved at interview and time they think they would move?

Any information shared would be great..........

    Thanks

I know it's a horrid wait but it will be so worth it and you will very soon be putting it behind you...are you completely prepared for the next step? Have you got the affidavit and all supporting documents and evidence ready to mail to the beneficiary in the UK? All the DS forms completed ready to mail?

Altho I have not received packet 3 from the embassy yet I was informed on the phone today that they have sent it and i'm able to send all my forms in so I did that today...exactly 3 weeks after the NOA2 date of approval. After your NOA2 the NVC will receive your petition you can get your LND case number from them and then call to schedule your medical which will save you some time. I have that arranged for Monday. You need to have your medical before the embassy will schedule an interview so being quick of the mark on that will save you some time.

    Hang in there!

  6. Called the London embassy at lunch time to check up on whether or not they had received our petition from the NVC yet...was informed that they had and that 'Packet 3' had been mailed to me 2 days ago!!! YAY!!! She then said that I didn't really need to wait to receive it...I could access the forms online (like I did 6 months ago lol!) and mail them in...didn't need told that twice...just back from the Post Office!!!!!

So I have my medical on Monday...all forms have been mailed to the embassy...all I need now is an interview date

  7. Guys guys! We got our NOA2 as well!!!!!! I didn't get a text or email or anything. Was just checking the website again, with not hope really that the date would have changed, and it had!!!!

Such a funny thing is that I was about to post how it was beginning to struggle with all of this, how I had been fine before but that it was really starting to get hard. And now, we got it!!

    CONGRATS!!!!! :thumbs::dance::thumbs:

  8. Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I didn't get to read VJ until now - busy day at work - I did call the embassy this morning and they seemed unsure about the birth certificate etc. So to be safe I ended up sending the info, it's all together with the forms though, so I'm hoping they'll just keep it all together :-)

I know it says on the DS-2001 to send it, a covering letter and DS-230 part 1. However, I sent it all together like you.

Thanks for discussing this guys...i'm planning on sending it all together also  I just wish our case would get itself to London as it doesn't seem to have arrived yet

  9. This is more a question to someone going or been to the London Embassy. They sent packet 3, but it didn't make it apparently. I already have the forms filled in anyway. So I want to send them in, my question is about DS-156K. On the website it says that this form gets sent with the others, but the form says that you have to attach evidence of financial support, birth certificate etc. I thought these documents were taken on the interview day and not sent in. So I'm wondering if I need to send DS-156K or just take it along when I go for the interview. I know this is specific to each embassy/consulate does anyone know for London?

    Thanks

    Gav

Obviously i'm a week behind you so can't answer from experience but i'd go off this link http://london.usembassy.gov/kprocessing.html that says you send the form in with the others. I get the impression that it's almost a declaration that you HAVE all the documents and that, together with the DS-2001 are you letting them know that and that you are ready to bring them to the interview. I'll be waiting to see if anyone already thru the process can clarify that!!!

  10. I had my medical. My appointment was for 9.50, I got there at 9.30. I filled out a basic questionnaire (embassy copy) which is pretty much the same as the one as the doctors had me download and fill in from their website before the appointment.

I turned my phone off as there were signs that said to, so I don't know how much time passed while waiting in the waiting room. I had my chest x-ray done and went back to the waiting room for about 5 minutes. Then I was called through for the doctor. They asked some questions related to vaccinations, I had gotten all the vaccinations before the appointment. I was asked if I had had chickenpox, which I had. So that was written on the vaccination record, this was given as an advisor for waiving the chickenpox vaccination.

I had a simple eye test, a few pokes, chest and lungs checked, blood pressure and a blood sample taken. That was it, then back to the waiting room for 5 minutes before paying. I just need to wait 2 days for the blood and x-ray results, if I don't hear anything, that's good. Then the embassy should get the results on Friday.

I left and turned my phone on, it showed 10.57 - So a little over an hour, painless and easy :)

Thanks for the report Gavin...I feel more prepared now knowing a bit more what to expect

  11. You call DOS to find out if your case is logged then you can send your forrms. More on packet 3 here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/page__view__findpost__p__5137390 There's a copy of the letter farther down in the thread. You don't need the letter for anything. DOS 202-663-1225 press 1, then 0

Call the embassy number and pay with credit card before you interview. Paying early doesn't speed up the interview. You can pay after you get the interview letter. You just need the email receipt to take with you. London Embassy 0800 027 0051

Thank u! I just called them and paid so at least it's another thing checked off the list even tho it doesn't speed up the process!
