  1. My late AP was approved in 3 weeks! I was really surprised!! :)

  2. We filed October 19, 2012. Biometrics was November 26. I also have an MSC # so I'm really hoping the interview letter comes soon. I unfortunately had some bad advice when filing and was told AP was for emergencies only so I have my EAD only. It would be nice to get home and see some family! It's a 3 month wait for AP right now so might as well wait for the GC at this point.

  3. We'll, similar timelines for filing for AOS anyway! Haha

  4. Congratulations on your GC! We have very similar timelines so I'm hoping that any day now my case status will get out of that 'acceptance' stage! How much time in advance of the interview did you receive your interview notice?

    Again, congrats!!

  5. Soon starting the dreaded AOS process...

  6. I made it! POE review to come shortly. Still in awe that this day has finally come!

  7. Oh! I plan to take Tom's last name when we are married. We will need to help each other through the SSN and drivers license stuff. Seems complicated!!

  8. Hey Rema! Packing is 95% complete. I've pretty much got everything done now....just waiting for Thursday to hurry up and get here. I only have two bags to take with me - a duffle bag and a large suitcase. I'm boarderimg on needing three but I'm determined to pack light! Haha Nervous for Tuesday?

  9. Congratulations on your approval! :-)

  10. GOOD LUCK TODAY!

    Hope you were approved! :)

  11. Hey! Did you pick up your passport yet from Loomis? I've been thinking about you and Rema!

  12. Hey! I actually picked my passport and my "brown mysterious envelope" up from Loomis on Friday. I didn't get a waybill # until the night before Loomis called me to come get it. The # was never on the CSC site...I got an email from Loomis themselves saying that they had the package from the Consulate and that it was on it's way. The waybill # was listed on that email as well.

  13. Long form*

    Sorry! Haha

  14. Go get your passport and stuff updated if it's going to expire soon and make sure you get a copy of your long term birth certificate. You'll need that for the interview.

  15. I didn't do too much to be honest. I knew the wait time would be around 4-5 months until the NOA2 came so around the 3 month mark I went and got my police record check. I also got all my vaccinations up to speed so that I didn't need to get them at the medical. It's costly! Mostly I collected more evidence in case they asked for it at the interview and twiddled my thumbs! Haha

  16. Thank you!!! Hope it helps for your interview as well! If you have any questions or anything, please don't hesitate to ask! :)

  17. I won't be until August 16th. 20 days left! Lots to do!

Plan to do POE through Newark, New Jersey.

  18. Congratulations on your approval! :)

  19. Awesome! Congrats in the date and good luck! :)

  20. From what I've read, this is a date that is used as a 'this case should be approved by THIS date'. It seems like its more of a deadline for the visa system in general. Kinda like the 5 month estimate made by the USCIS in the beginning to have your approval back by a certain month. I truly think you'll be fine. The consulate can extend the date if need be until your case is compl...

  21. Yes, I think it's definitely best to book a date. I think right now you can book as far as September or October on the calendar. When your able, go in and book as far in advance as you can. Then, a week or two before the interview, reschedule for an even later date. You may get one late Nov or even December!

  22. Thank you! If you have any questions about the interview or anything, let me know! It's all still fresh in my mind. Haha :-)

  23. Thank you girlwithquestions!!! :)

  24. Seen your post on the Newark POE forum. I'm also a Newfoundlander! Applied for a K-1 visa, was approved very recently and will be POE'ing at Newark on August 16th! Glad to hear it was easy.

  25. No DHL Waybill # yet...

I wonder how long it will take them to send out the passports? My guess is that they'll be sending them as a bunch with the July 24th interview approval people...after they get them all printed of course. I just want it in my handddd! haha
