    If your current address is the same as the address on your passport, and you have had police verification done for this address at the time you got your passport, then just go to passport office, apply for PCC, and they'll give it to you same day

    You need Police Clearance Certificate from PASSPORT OFFICE. not the local police station. The passport office will give you a letter with your picture stating that there's no reason you shouldnt be allowed to travel etc. and they will stamp your passport also. Police verification is only the verification the local police waala comes and does at your place.

    You do need to fill our DS230 online. But you only need to take it to the interview.

    Great! Now you just take all your documents to the interview itself. You should also be receiving your interview letter + checklist of documents you need to bring to interview in the mail (it took 3 weeks to get mine). But as long as you they have sent you a soft copy of your interview letter you dont really need anything. The checklist is also available online.

    Did you get the appointment letter on email? You can schedule a medical and get your PCC! They might accept the email which says your interview is on 14th May. Hopefully you have had police verification done on your passport

    you can even call DOS after case completion and they'll tell you the interview date on the phone

    Has your Case been completed at NVC? You can call them and ask. Once they send it to the embassy after case completion you can email CIUND@state.gov to get your interview date and can request them to send you your appointment letter via email

      Does it have a corner torn off ? A diagonal cut ? When are you flying ? I am going in june but havent booked tix yet.

      yea it has the diagonal cut. I'm leaving in 2 weeks. I'd booked tickets when I got the visa.

    I'm leaving on the 17th. If the embassy sends me my sealed package on time that is. Are you able to track your passport, what does it say?

    We had a 9am interview time and we got done at 11am. But we had one of the last numbers...so it took longer for us

      Has your ceac status changed or is it still showing admin processing ? In any case give it 10 days before you start worrying a little.

      Yea it should be ok...i've just been too paranoid the whole time because I'm iffy about a little smudging on my passport...I feel they'll notice it right when they're about to print my visa or something
