They are in US right now, haven't left yet. 

My parents usually come to visit 2-3 months every year for the last few years. When they go back home I would like to consider applying for their green card. Would they still be able to visit the US while they wait for their application to be processed. They have a few more years left on their 10 year visa

Had my interview at Mount Laurel, New Jersey on April 10th. They have same day oath ceremony..so I'm Done! Applied for my passport the next day and waiting for it. 

I'm getting an error updating my timeline but will try in some more time!

Me too, from Jersey and got notification on the 1st. Waiting for the letter!

Checked the website - Card was mailed on August 19th. my NOA1 was 25th September 2015. Hoping to get the card soon and good luck to all!

Sent documents to VSC for I-751. My Card expiration date will be 10/27/2016.. All the best to who are waiting for approvals.

Hello Everyone. my ROC was received on Sept 22, 2015. Just got a text to check case status. Checked USCIS website and my 10 year green card is in production....Wahooo!!!! On to citizenship!!!!

So I applied for my parents visa when i got my fiance visa (the CO at my interview even told me to make sure my parents have my fiance visa copy for their interview). It's in 3 days and im nervous again. Any suggestions? They're self sponsored so I don't think they're going to need any invitation letters (the website just says, bring documents that show-the purpose of the visit, ability to pay for the visit, and the intention to return after the visit..doesnt make any other specifications)

So for purpose they're going to show the K1 visa and that they're coming for the wedding in the US. I'll get a scanned letter of invite from my fiance (since they'll stay with us in his house) -but there's no time to get the original.

for pay-ing they're showing the bank account information. I did get a networth statement made from a CA but i don't know how much it really means to them.

for intent to return, thats the issue..half my mothers family is in the US, my other sibling is currently not in india though he intends to come back in a year or two. and my dad just quit his job last year and has a start up ..which is..just starting up really so has no real income.

Any suggestions/experiences would really help. Reading other people's rejection stories is really disheartening.

I doubt other country's visas are so nerve-wracking

Just be confident and polite and go over some sample questions on vj also. It helped me keep things to the point and not go on and on

I had my interview 2 weeks ago and I was one of the last people and i din't see any family based visas get denied

My parents also now have their tourist visa interview in 3 days and im incredibly nervous for them too. Good luck to you and hopefully this nerve-wracking experience will soon come to a positive end.

Got my visa in hand today. I feel terrible writing this here because I know some of you are still waiting for your NOA2s. I really hope and pray that you get them soon. This is really ridiculous.

After 8 months, my file is on same status. Initial review. Can anyone help me to solve this problem? My husband is us citizen. I'm in India.

Have you tried calling USCIS. According to the processing times at VSC,the processing time for I-130 for spouse of Citizen is currently June 4th 2012. So it'll probably take you a little longer. They're being very slow

I wrote that in a hurry and did not do a very coherent job lol. It is in AP, but the CO had said at the interview that it'll take like 10 days to get the visa so I'm choosing not to freak out till then

Yea I did call them. Ustraveldocs person drove me crazy, she said its issued and to start checking in two days (She like me was checking the Immigrant status on ceac.state.gove). Then my fiance called DOS today and they said it is in Administrative Processing but they were very vague about what would happen now or anything. Fingers Crossed for it being issued soon with no issues. They did say 10 days.

I was told at the interview that I've been approved and will receive my visa in 10 days. Well..it hasn't been 10 days, only been 4 so far, but I just checked my status on ceac.state.gov and my status has just changed to Administrative Processing.

There was no issue whatsoever at my interview. I'm wondering what this is about or is this normal?

Yes. The status changed to 'ready for pickup' in the evening Picking my passport tomorrow. All look goods. We celebrate once it is in hand.

I emailed ustraveldocs today and apparently i was checking the wrong section. If I put in my NVC case number in Immigrant Visa section it says "Issued". But if I enter the case number UStraveldocs gave me today in the NonImmigrant visa section it says "Ready (for interview)". They also told me I'm in AP, for what I don't know.

I don't know what to make of this madness.
