  1. IKR!!! thats what i was sayin wait after 6 mon is up! then give it to me... but i see it as this, once i turn it in ill get my NOA2 in no time.. so this is good :) have u heard anything yet?

No nothing yet. They sent my Representative's office and email last week Wednesday (6/13) saying I should hear from them "Very Shortly". I figured that would be by Monday the 18th. Apparently the government's definition of "Very Shortly" is quite different than mine.I think I may bother my Representative one more time tomorrow, which will also be Day 200 w/o NOA2. Day 45 out of 60 for my Service Request.

Keeping the faith...that's all we can do. I hope you receive your RFE soon so you can get that turned around quickly.

  2. Two More approval from Igor's List for FEB 2012..VSC :thumbs:

Lets hear some more and finish the FEB filers ASAP for MARCH Filers

I'd like to see them finish December 2011 first! Today is Day 198! (6.5 months) Day 43 out of 60 for my so-called "expedite" service request made on May 8. Uggggh!

    Natural born US Citizen.

    No Criminal record.

    Always pay my taxes.

Not even a traffic ticket that wasn't reduced to a parking ticket since 1993.

Nobody in my immediate family has a criminal record.

Nobody in my extended family has a criminal record. (Cousins, aunts, uncles)

Yet for some reason, I seemingly am blacklisted. I just don't get it, and not knowing the reason for the disproportionate response time drives me mental! Maybe it's because I'm a registered Republican and I am anti-illegal alien? Grasping at straws here.

  3. Our thread fell to page 3, so just writing something to keep us December filers fresh, while we wait...as patiently as we can, while Obama gives amnesty to those that do not deserve it. I almost want to sue the government for all the time, effort, and money that we've put into this process, when he gives away free passes for votes.

Day 196 and counting, waiting for the NOA2.

Day 41 out of 60 for our service request.

Keep the faith December filers! That's all we can do at this point...

  4. It is great people believing in the governments process, with the stroke of a pen the president just placed 850,000 illegals in front of everyone else. Let the paying legal customer wait, they do it the legal way they can wait

Yeah no kidding! A BLATANT attempt to gather votes. This is EXACTLY the type of thing Chavez does is Venezuela. My wife, a Venezuelan, couldn't believe it when I told her..."Oh my God! That's exactly what Chavez did here! Brought in Cubans, Chinese, and Russians to vote for him!"

It infuriated both of us! Just like you and other posters stated, neglect people that play by the rules and pay their dues in fees, time apart, paperwork gathering, etc. Who cares about us, right?

  5. Have you submitted a service request yet?? If it's outside of 5months, go ahead and submit one for sure if you haven't already.

Yes, on May 8. I received a response that basically said it's currently under review and I should hear something within 60 days. Today is day 41 out of 60.

I got my Representative involved, and received a notice last Wednesday that we should hear something "Very shortly". Of course, that falls withing the service request timeline that I received on May 8, so...did the representative help any? Who's to say? But, at least I can believe they are finally working on it.

Today is 196 days and counting, waiting for NOA2...hopefully we are on the better side of the "average time" for the post approval process.

  6. I thought spouses can't come to the USA on tourist visas, only until the process is complete. Did the immigration officer at the checkpoint not give her a hard time for it? I wanted to do this too!

There is no law saying they can't. The tourist visa is a legal document allowing her to visit the US. It gets 'sticky' because of "intent". The decision is made at the Point of Entry by the agent. It's a gamble, and can be an expensive gamble for many. We decided to take it. She came through Puerto Rico, and the agent gave her no problems.

He asked her why she was going to the States? She answered "to visit my husband."

He asked if she had an immigration case started? (Which I am certain he knew she did). She answered honestly and said "Yes."

He said something like "be careful not to stay longer than the expiration on the visa, or that will put your immigration application in jeopardy."

No hassle. But the problem is, it is subjective to each agent. And what was explained to me was that the agent could easily have said, it is not her "intent" to come to the US on a non-immigrant visa (the B1/B2), since we have an immigrant visa in process. That didn't happen.

She may get asked about it at the interview, but she is allowed to stay six months, and her return ticket is for only 2 months. So that shouldn't be an issue at all, and I'll have her bring all sort of documentation showing what we did during her stay.

If you decide to take the gamble, be sure your significant other answers HONESTLY and brings evidence that they will return home. Examples: Housing contract, Vehicle ownership, letter from employer, anything that states that they something back home to go back to.

I told my wife to bring lots of evidence that she would return, as well as reasons that she was visiting as a tourist, not just as my wife.

Here in Buffalo / Niagara Falls, we have the high wire daredevil, Nik Wallenda, attempting to walk across Niagara Falls tonight.

I sent her copy of her Jimmy Buffet ticket for a concert in Pittsburgh.

Links to print out for Finger Lakes wine tours. The Friendship Festival in July between Canada and US at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo / Ft. Erie.

I sent her other summer festivals in the area to print out that were significant in uniqueness or size also. Ultimately, she did not need any of it (except her return ticket). But I say better to be over prepared.

  7. Hi everyone, been lurking around the forum for months but first post.

Getting frustrated, filed I-130 on Nov. 7, 2011, and still no NOA2 yet, got my NOA1 within few days that case was sent to CSC.. Still says case under review when I check status on USCIS website.

I called USCIS in mid April after my 5.5 months of wait, and they issued a Service Request based on my behalf, and was told to wait 45 days and that my case is being adjudicated. 45 days have come and gone, and nothing. Called again and they state all we can do is issue another service request. Getting really frustrated.

I've now contacted my local congress woman and one of my senators. Also scheduled an Info Pass for next week. Anyone else out there from November still waiting?

I don't get it, I'm a U.S. Citizen, no criminal record of any sort, neither does my wife, she's never been to the U.S. She's a doctor back home also no suspicious activities or anything. It seems everyone from November has had NOA2 approved and some ending stages of NVC process.

I'm in a nearly identical situation as you, except I am a December filer. I don't understand why so many in January and February are completed. I understand some get expedited and everything, but using VJ timelines:

February is 44% complete. (16% Complete at VSC, 60% at CSC.)

January is 64% complete. (41% Complete at VSC, 76% at CSC.)

December is 72% complete. (87% Complete at VSC, 72% at CSC.)

November is 81% complete. (100% Complete at VSC, 79% at CSC.)

October is 84% complete. (69% Complete at VSC, 85% at CSC.)

September is 87% complete. (77% Complete at VSC, 93% at CSC.)

I am guessing yours is at the CSC. So why would 60% of February be done at the CSC, when November remains 21% unfinished? To me that is crazy, and the annoying thing is, you'll never know why.

  8. I am starting to get suspicious, could there be a conspiracy against certain applicants? Could they be reading these forums, and punishing the most vocal ones?

I'm usually up for a good conspiracy theory, but I don't think that is the case here. While I have been vocal on VJ, I didn't join until May 22, 17 days after my 5 month mark, and I am still waiting. So for whatever reason they are taking their sweet a** time with my petition, but I am pretty sure it's not for being vocal here.

I received my response for a service request on May 8, saying I should get something within 60 days. Today is day 38 out of 60. The response to my Congressman on June 13 was virtually the same, saying I should hear something "very soon".

193 Days so far without NOA2 at 4:02pm EST today. What frustrates me is that (using VJ timelines) 28% of December is still waiting, including myself. Yet January is 64% complete and February is 44% complete. Why does THAT happen? Those are answers I'd like to get. I could see some overlap due to DCF's, expedites, RFE's or just no two case processors are the same, and therefore work at varying speeds. But there is a large discrepancy. Out of all the completions filed after me (Dec. 5) at the VSC until March, 2012:

The longest wait time was - 157 Days

The shortest wait time was - 57 Days

The average wait time was - 113 Days

The median wait time was - 126 Days

I am currently at 193 days and counting.

I'm a pretty simple case...Natural born US citizen. No criminal record. Good income. Own my house. Nothing to hide.

She has no criminal record. Owns her condo. Worked for 23 years for 1 company, and 8 months at another before resigning when we got married.

There are others with very similar situations as us that are waiting even longer, and one of the most frustrating things is the lack of transparency. I am luckier than many in that my wife just came here on Sunday on a tourist visa. So she is with me, tentatively until August 12. Maybe she leaves earlier, maybe later. Anyhow, for me it's now principle...I just need to know WHY. I'll probably never find out and drive myself crazy if I dwell on it too long. To me, this is the biggest problem of the process.

  9. 193 Days so far without NOA2 at 11:00am EST today.

More stats, because I got bored...these stats likely have some margin of error, because some people posted under both the petitioner and beneficary names, while others may not keep their timeline up to date. But based on what is posted...

    Overall - 131 out of 150 (87% Complete)

  10. I'm seeing lots of Feb/March filers received their NOA2 already! and most of them are from CSC! :( what's up with Vermont Service Center? *breaks my heart* :crying:

Tell me about it. I'm a December filer still waiting for my NOA2. Think about how annoyed I get when January and February filers have gotten theirs already. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the filers, but I get more aggravated with the USCIS and its seemingly random system by the day.

  11. Hi,may i please ask you a question? how soon do you receive your receipt number once your i-130 packet is mail to uscis? Our i-130packet was mailed by our middleman, he say's he did not get a receipt number. instead he say's my husband will get that receipt number in his mail, is that true? kinda a confuse now...

According to the "Immigration Timelines" (Igor's List) --> Stats

    IR1/CR1 Stats

The overall average is 7 days to receive the NOA1 after mailing in the package.

California Service Center = 7 days

Texas Service Center = 9 days

Vermont Service Center = 6 days

If you reach two weeks without yours, you should call the USCIS. Did you have tracking on the package? That's what I did to prove that the Chicago Lockbox actually received it in case of any "misplacement" on their end.

  12. still freakin waitin!!! i swear.. im gettin frustrated here. i did make to Ohio tho! lol... and leave on Friday for FL.. so at least I'm stayin a little busy. I wonder what the hold up is tho? doesnt make any sense to me. All I got is that paper sayin that its still in review....

Well, When I filed a service request on May 8, they said within 60 days. Today is day 36 since that letter from the VSC.

June 1st (Day 24 out of the 60) I got my Representative involved again. Today they finally responded, saying:

"We have reviewed your request and determined that your constituent’s, Matthew’s, case is past processing time. The petition will be reviewed and your constituent should be receiving notification from this office very shortly."

Did my Representative make a difference? It's hard to say, "Very shortly" could easily have happened without their inquiry. But it didn't hurt to get as many people "fighting" for us as possible.

The point is, it should be almost done, that there is some light at the end of this long tunnel, and I hope it applies to ALL of us December filers and that we all have a better experience with the post approval time!

  13. Believe it or not, there are still quite a few based on Igor's list, and the random Case Status Checks I did for Case Numbers around me. Hang in there, you guys are not that far behind.

Yeah, you're right. I tend to sort on Vermont Service Center, and just looked through the last 4 or 5 pages in this thread.

For those statistics lovers in the crowd, (and want to be annoyed :bonk: ) I counted on Igor's List:

    Dec. Filers = 134

    NOA2 Received = 92

    NOA2 Waiting = 42

Almost 69% of December filers received their NOA2, assuming everyone is still active and keeping their timeline accurate.

California Service Center = 69% Finished:

    Dec. Filers = 109

    NOA2 Received = 75

    NOA2 Waiting = 34

Texas Service Center = 50% Finished:

    Dec. Filers = 10

    NOA2 Received = 5

    NOA2 Waiting = 5

Vermont Service Center = 87% Finished:

    Dec. Filers = 15

    NOA2 Received = 13

    NOA2 Waiting = 2 <<---- I am one of the 2 waiting! :crying:

  14. It must be something with the day because I'm also a 12/05/11 NOA1 filer and I don't have an NOA2 either. But I guess our difference is mine is stuck at my local office waiting for the slow as syrup mail sorting facility to get evidence to my file that I sent in almost 4 weeks ago.

Ouch! I read your signature's timeline...even an expedite request. That really stinks! I wish you all the luck! Hopefully soon we can have the "December 2011 IR-1/CR-1 USCIS Filers" thread completely finished too!

  15. Ok well I'm sorry if you feel I'm being impatient.

I was told on March 19th by a Tier 2 that we would have an answer in 2-3 weeks....I have been MORE THAN patient because we have waited those 2-3 weeks PLUS 2 more months on top of that.

I've never been away from my husband this long, and as most people here know, it's hard. Also, I am having issues that I'm dealing with at work at the moment. We need to get things settled or at least moving in some direction in order to get everything else worked out.

We have reasons more than just missing each other to try to get things going a little faster but unforuntately it doesn't "technically" fit under any of the expedite criteria, we are doing the best to just "hang in there" but there are reasons that we can't just sit around and wait it out after we've already been told on 3 occassions that we would have an answer in a few days and then were told to contact a senator or congressman.

When we applied the average time at VSC was 3-3.5 months for NOA2. I don't think it's unreasonable to be upset and want to get things moving... we waited out the time we were told to. Now I was just asking for advice on where to go from here. You don't need to claim that I'm being impatient... you don't know anything about what we've gone through to this point with our case.

I did the exact same thing you did, asking for a Congressman's help a few days early. And I agree with you completely about the "impatience" reply. The gall of some people to be upset with you because you want to be with your loved one...it's ridiculous. I'm sorry for all the people that are offended because we expect more from our government and its workers. They are hardly overloaded. And if they were...why not send cases to the local office where you live? I know when I went to the Buffalo office, six workers sat there talking about nonsense the whole 45 minutes I was there. THEY could be processing my case, and get it done much quicker.

Also, the Service Centers should be in relief mode, since November, December are the two slowest months. Yet, here I am, an early December filer still waiting when most late December filers received approval in April and May. Many January and even February filers have also received approval. Yet mine seems lost in limbo and I can't get an answer from anyone. Not the USCIS. Not the VSC. Not from my Representative. Not from my Senator.

I'm on 190 days (Dec 5, 2011 filer). Since acknowledgement of my service request on May 8, it has been 35 out of the "within 60 days" that they stated. So I support you being "so impatient" 100%, because this process is ridiculously long and inefficient!

  16. On 6th of June I was discussing over letter from USCIS which promised of something under 60 days. Two days later I got another mail and this time they sent me NOA2.

Soooooooooooo TWO MONTHS PASSED IN JUST TWO DAYS. Vermont is so fast. LOL.

    SENT I-130 27 DEC 2011

    NOA 1 03 JAN 2012

CASE UPDATED IN SYSTEM 09 JAN 2012

    NOA 2 08 JUNE 2012

Thanks everybody in this forum and specially those who read my post and replied to them. Thanks to my wife for her efforts. I CAN SEE THE CLOUD ON SKY AND IT WILL RAIN AS NOA2 IN NEXT 30 DAYS. GUD LUCK GUYS SPECIALLY TO JAN'12 FILERS

    Congrats Rok!

  17. two castle did u try calling them for ur status coz couple of members posted that they had to call for status....

Yes, I received an "Under review" status and that I should receive a decision "within 60 days". That was 34 days ago, May 8. I must have gotten all the new recruits getting on-the-job training for all phases of this process. Actually, if they are doing background checks on my wife and relying upon Venezuelan government to process any requests, well, that is where our holdup is for sure. They are terribly slow down there. I really just wish I KNEW what was happening. The generic responses. The non-informative responses. The responses to questions I never asked. That is bothersome. It's not just the USCIS, it's my Representative's office as well.

My saving grace is, she got here last night on a B1/B2 visa. Seeing her in person for a little while helps tremendously!
