So annoying I had answered yes to the social security question on the DS-260 and my husbands social security card was not being processed. We had to fill out a new application for him to receive the social security card grr. Now we have to wait more to finally receive it.

Well my advice is to gather all the documents ahead of time. What took the longest for us was that I didin't send in the Police Certificates in with the last packet. I needed to wait for my husband to send them from Peru then I had to send them to NVC. Also we had to wait a while for the interview date because NVC was falling behind during the month of Sept. and Oct.

Yea my husband hasent't received his either. And yea he needs it for the job and also the Selective Service thing and it only gives you 30 days from the time you entered the US to fill that out.

Yes he is! He got here on the 19th of Oct.

My husband entered Los Angeles port of entry yesterday the 19th. I think the Social Security number will come in the mail I have read on a forum that it said that if you marked yes on a social security number question then they will send it in the mail.

Thank God that my husband is finally here in the USA with me after so much trouble at the airports.

very nice partying it out! Were was your port of entry? I heard that they just ask simple questions like why are you traveling to the USA and what is the name of your petitioner. Yes it did arrive. His interview was approved the 10th and on the 12 he went to DHL office and picked up his passport with his visa and that big sealed envelope.

Just booked a flight for my hubby for October 18th by the 19th we will finally be together again! yuppie! Let the countdown begin!
