  1. Hello everyone. I am still not done with the NVC stage of the process but I know this part is a breeze and before you know it the interview date will be here. I want to start prepapring for the interview ASAP. Any advice on what I should gather together for the interview? Will I need photos? call logs? calling cards? affidavits of a bona fide relationship? anything else that may come to anyone's mind and they think will be helpful please do share. BTW my husband lives in Dominican Republic so our interview will be with the consulate in DR.

Also anyone who has been thru the interview process please do share the experience and definitely some of the questions that you were asked.

    Thank you in advance

  2. What I did was email it to him and then he signed it and scanned it back to me. I then printed it and filed out the information and then I mailed it like that. NVC accepted it. But one thing you need to remember is that at the consulate, they want ALL original copies. So make sure you fill ds230 form out and when you go for your cita, have your SO sign it. At the Dominican consulate, they won't accept anything that is scanned. It sounds more complicated than what it is lol let me know if you have any questions.

And this worked for the ds-230 form? Not the ds-3032. I have a headache just thinking about this

  3. If you are not from an electronic processing country.....the DS-230 needs to have the original (no photocopy) signature of the applicant.

and how do I find out if we can process this application electronically? OMG this whole process is giving me a headache I cant wait for this to be over and my husband is here with me

    thank you

  4. I guess I am oddball....but I love being oddball

I emailed the DS-3032 as an attachment, sent from petitioner's email. Had no problems. DS-3032 accepted.

But ultimately it is your choice how you want to do it...

LOL different is good....I think ill follow the template and send the attachment as well, cant go wrong that way

  5. Yes....exactly correct...you can.

Just put your case number in subject line.

Then in the body of the email put beneficiary name and birthday....and petitioner name and birthday.

Attach the signed DS-3032 and send it off to NVC....no problem.

Awesome....I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Now maybe somebody knows the answer to this...will he need to sign the DS-230 as well?

Also what did you guys do about obtaining the passport size picture to send in with the DS-230? Im thinking maybe he can take a picture on a white background and e-mail it me so I can print out here in the required size. Has anyone tried this? What has worked for you?

Sorry for all the questions but I just dont want to delay this process any longer than the time it originally takes just to get thru it.

  6. NVC is not too picky about the DS-3032 as long as they get the information. I have seen so many different ways that people do this and almost everything works.

I just e-mailed a scanned copy of the DS-3032 to NVC and they accepted

So I can pretty much just scan the signed copy he faxes back to me and send it to NVC as an attachment right?

  7. I got my approval yesterday :)

I think VSC woke up...I've also been calling everyday since my 5 month mark and even got my congresswoman involved...I'm not sure what did the trick but I couldn't be happier...best part is that I'm in Dominican Republic with mi hubby for the weekend and got to tell him the news in person...my trip back home will be much better than past trips knowing that really soon we will be together forever ....hang in there vj-ers

  8. I was also glad to see some January filers get their NOA2 recently they are moving along painfully slow but moving along none the less...I am still unable to file a service request as I am within "normal" processing time :-/

Maybe July will be my month...fingers crossed

I miss my husband I couldn't take it any longer I bought myself a plane ticket and will be going to see him in two weeks for 4 days

  9. I called today to file a service request because I am past the 5 month mark at VSC...I filed an I-130 I was told they were processing 01/23/2012 which so happens to be my receipt date so yup that's right no service request because I am still within "normal" processing time...I was told to allow an additional 30 days...VSC is just all ####### and very inconsistent

  10. I just hope the NVC stage isn't this slow and painful...but at the rate VSC is working who knows when we will get to the NVC stage....I personally think they used my file as confetti for some sort of parade instead of a chair cushion :'(

  11. So here is my update...my five month mark was this Saturday and guess what....still no NOA2. I called a little while ago to file a service request and they couldn't...I was told I was still within normal processing since they are currently processing January 23rd applications....oh really? That's what I was told teo weeks ago...well anyhows I was told to wait another 30 days...what is wrong with these people? If u are "processing" January 23rd or atleast that's what they claim why on earth should I wait another thirty days? Not stressing though I will be writing to my congressman when I get home from work. Has anyone else tried to contact regarding their application? What dates r u hearing as of late?

  12. the first person you talk to on the phone is a "tier 1" and "tier 2" is the next level. you have to request the "tier 1" to transfer you to "tier 2". and you do not need to give a reason to "tier 1".

How is the information that a tier 2 gives you differ from that of a tier 1? Would speaking to a tier 2 actually make any difference in processing an application?

  13. I was told last week when I called to wait until the end of the month if I didn't get a reply by the end of this month to call back to file a service request...maybe he just told me that to get me off the phone :-/ ...this is so stressful and my marriage is suffering just after 6months my husband and I have a bunch of heated arguments that I know for a fact we wouldn't be having if we were next to each other so this distance between us is just getting to be too much and stupid USCIS is taking their sweet time they probably get to go home to their families and significant other at the end of their workday while we have to suffer thru this painful process...sorry everyone I'm in vent mode right now

  14. For the record... On March 19th they told me that VSC was processing Jan 1, 2012 cases.... sooooo what does that tell u? :/

They tell everyone something different all on the same day, I honestly don't think they even know. they just tll you something to get you to leave them alone for a few more days.

    I m past 5 months and they wouldn't even do a service request :(

I hope you guys have better luck!

If I were you I would call everyday until they do a service request or get your congressman involved...good luck :)

I don't know what it is that VSC is doing, but it isn't I-129F petitions and hasn't been (consistently, at least) since April. Hope they notice the growing pile of boxes everywhere SOON.

They aren't processing I-130 petitions either...seems like they are doing a whole lot of nothing

  15. yali they update every 15 days so if they are in jan 1st depending how long ago they did the last update depends when will be the your NOA2 i will suggest love just to be patience eso ya casi viene

    I hope so...que Dios t oiga

  16. dont listen to USCIS theyve been saying that VSC on Jan 23 since May.. VSC is so slow, its painful. I would suggest that come Monday, call them and request for a Service Request to be done because you will be out of the 5 month window.

that was my initial thought as well...give them until Monday and see what the service request gets me if anything at all. Next step after that is getting my congressman involved

  17. I called today and the line was they were processing Jan 1st.

I dont even think they know what they are processing either. I have no idea how February filers have gotten approved but yet they are hundreds and hundreds from January that havent heard anything

  18. hello everyone I have a NOA1 date of 01/23/2012 and I am nearing my 5 month mark which is on Saturday to be exact. Does anyone have any update on anything that is going on at VSC? If they are even doing anything at all. I checked my case online and I see that it was "touched"(whatever that really means)in early February but thats it. I called last week and was told they were processing January 23rd applications which gave me some hope but I am just beyond fustrated by this point. I even gave up on calling them because I feel like they arent even doing anything over there and I was just getting nowhere with them. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH this is driving me INSANE
