  1. Just got both email and text message for my case update. My card is in production!!

Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On October 10, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Good luck to all the July Filers, Yours are for sure coming soon!!

  2. Biometrics completed, had to wait 5 mins to get in and in less than 10 was done.

The lady helping hubby told him to wait for a notice for Interview and also gave him a booklet with quick civcs lessons for the Naturalization Test.

I thought the civics test was done only in case of Naturalization not Green Card, can someone clarify this to us?

I got one too at my bio appointment. The lady who works there just handed them to everybody.. lol

  3. I think an early walk in does help, also. I was looking at CSC approvals for the June thread, and applicants seemed to be approved roughly 3 weeks after biometrics, regardless of filing date. Perhaps that isn't written in stone, however.

Our office is never busy and we had Real Madrid vs Manchester United tickets and would be traveling on the day of our scheduled biometrics, so we just walked in and got it done early.

When we did AOS, we did an early bio for that, also. We received an interview date before others of the same filing time. Again, it could have been coincidence.

I do believe early walk in does help somehow. I did early walk in for AOS and my EAD was approved a day before my original bio date which really surprised me. anyway, congratulation on your approval!!

  4. Akihon, will you share me which address (CSC or VSC) is on your biometric envelope?

I'm curious because your timeline is almost same as me.

Mine is filed to CSC and NOA1 was from CSC. but NOA2(bio) was mailed from VSC (envelope address and postmark).

The service center name on the biometric letter is NBC too.

mine is the same, I think NBC is the one who schedule bio appointments.

  5. I went in and did my bio early today since i won't be in town for my actual appointment. People are really friendly there and didn't even check the appointment date. The only thing i would say is that on the appointment letter it says to bring any kind of picture ID. However they asked for my green card specifically, and also to most of other people. So everybody please bring your green card with you just in case.

  6. So I'm freaking out a little... When we filed to change my husbands status to obtain a green card, we went through an immigration attorney and everything went very smoothly. At the end of the process, our attorney informed us we would have to file to remove the conditions in two years, but since it is such an easy form and an easy process, we could do it on our own with no problems. So two years later, here we are. We just sent the forms/packet in last week. My concern is that we didn't provide enough proof of legitimate marriage. I only included our child's birth certificate to show parentage, my new SS card to show I changed my last name to his, drivers licenses to show shared address, most current mortgage statement to show joint ownership, most current car loan statement to show joint ownership, and 2013 tax return to show joint filing. My attorney throughout our whole process previously kept telling us "You all will have no problem with any of this because you have a child together and basically don't need any other proof" (we had our son right before we filed to change his status for a green card). In reading through this thread and others, now I am a little nervous I didn't include things like showing beneficiary information for various things, more statements for our accounts, more tax returns from prior years, etc. I guess our attorney's words kept sticking in my mind that we didn't need a lot. I'm hoping if what I sent in isn't sufficient they would just request to see more (which I have plenty of) and/or do an interview. Am I correct in thinking they would do that and not just deny him? I've started to become extremely anxious that I may have just ruined this whole application.

Your documents look really good! You have way more information than us do. Me and my husband don‘t even have same address on our DL. lol. And We did our AOS all by ourselves as well, no RFE whatsoever. They will not reject you for not having enough evidence! Don't worry about it!!

  7. Hi friends!

I too will be sending my packet soon to VSC. I'm still awaiting for my two affidavits to get notarized. I have a couple of questions before I send....

    1) Did you all send pictures? The instructions specifically say documents so I wasn't sure and

    2) My wife's conditional residency expires 9/11 (I know) it's ok that I send this anytime now before 9/11/14 right?

Thanks everybody and good luck! :)

    1. I sent pictures, but you don't have to.

    2. Yes. Do it ASAP coz you want to make sure she gets the receipt before her status expires.

  8. Ah okay....I had read or heard somewhere that people typically get their GCs within 2-3 weeks from the interview, but I suppose it can be different for everyone. 30 more days till you need to panic!

I believe MrsGore's case is a little special, If I remember correctly, her interview officer forgot to order her card.

I got mine in a week. Let's hope nothing goes wrong in your case.

BTW MrsGore, finally you got your card!! Congrats!

  9. I know, it sucks to wait. I was a month behind everyone else when we filed and it also scared me. But it's meaningless. In your case, maybe they haven;t been able to schedule any new cases and it's still at May 23. Once it's over, you will forget and that will be that. At least you are together and have EAD/AP and can live normally. Good luck.

    Can't agree more.

I was the first few people filed back in May and almost the last one got interviewed.

I was so desperate and thought this would never gonna be over and something would go wrong.

All of those negative thoughts are meaningless once I got my interview letter.

and I laughed at myself for being so impatient.

But I totally understand what is that like especially we have the same local office.

Trust me, no news is good news, at least they didn't deny you or ask for more paperwork.

  10. Just got off the phone with the tier 2 rep.

    No interview set :(

I asked him a few more questions, he said that my case went into the system August 9th, in terms of sitting there waiting for it to be scheduled. I asked if there was anyway to anticipate when the date might be set. He said there was no way to tell, but they normally see most cases work on a 2 month rotation. As 2 months was up for us a week ago, he assumes it will only be a couple more days.

Unfortunately, I don't have the same amount of confidence he does!! The way this is going, were not going to be interviewed until christmas!

Don't give up yet, Mine was scheduled on the 98th day. Give a few more days.

I am sure you will get it either this or next week.

  11. I disagree that not holding each others hand will raise a red flag. While acting like strangers can raise suspicion, but not holding hand is NOT the same as acting like strangers. I think displaying excessive affection can also raise suspicion. My advise is to act like you normally do around your spouse. Be yourself.

agree! When we were waiting for the interview, Me and my husband barely talked to each other. We just played on our phones for 45 minutes. The IO has seen so many couples, they know who is acting who is not. Be yourself :)

  12. Hi all,

Just wanted to note that I (non-citizen) completed my biometrics today at the Jamaica center in Queens, NY. It was an extremely straightforward experience (I was accompanied by M) and everyone was very polite. We were all done in perhaps 15 minutes.

    Sooooo...

...what happens now? And in what kind of time-frame? Anyone?

Time frame is different for everybody. Now you just wait for the EAD and Interview notice, I am not sure which one comes first, usually should be the EAD, but who knows. Stay positive!
