Hello everyone,

I received a notification for Bio-metrics today

It has been scheduled for 5/22/2012. Do my wife (petitioner) has to come with me ? It just says on the notice that applicant have to be present at the schedule time with mentioned documents and appointment letter.

My wife is travelling in that week and she wouldn't be able to attend. Is she required ?

I did go however with my 3 yr old son and my husband (but it was not an issue at all)

Cause everyone I know that filed aos for their hubby's from Jamaica all got approved and transfered some filed a week after us and few filed couple days b4.

Honestly if it truly is a bona fide marriage you have nothing to worry about since the truth comes out alot easier then lies.

My experiance was fairly easy. It took 10 minutes, he didnt ask me any questions and just asked my wife 3 questions, where we live, how we got together and when. Since we have been together for 4 years, we didnt really have much of an interview. All he said after 10 minutes was "your guys seem like a bona fide marriage to me have a great day" that was it.

Hi All April 2012 AOS filers. Just to let u all know I am not far behind u all. I filed in march and as much as the waiting is dreadful and nerve wrecking we got to do it and have patience. I was very worried myself and anxious only last few days finally I got an update so u guys hang in there and think positive. Let the system take it course. Good luck everyone... :dance:

biometrics 13th apil

interview 13th june 7.30am (texas)

no EAD yet... (says initial review ) but thats ok GC is what we all really need

My husband and I filed I-130 and I-485 on March 15th, received NOA a few days after. I received biometrics test notice shortly after NOA and finished biometrics on April 9th and I havent heard from USCIS ever since. I checked USCIS website a couple of times, no updates at all. I am a little worried...am i worrying too much?

hi dont be worried!!! i filed both of those as well march and got my notices dated march 19th. had bio done april 13th and JUST TODAY got notice for interview for june 13th

so have patience it will come i was very worried and panicky as well but cried tears today when i saw the update online

@ajs can I know when did you recieve the biometric letter? did you do early walk in?

I did early walk in on 18th april but my appointement was May 2nd. I did not recieve my EAD yet

I had my biometrics on the 13th april and nothing yet my online status are stuck in "initial review"

Just got our interview date assigned yesterday for June 5th-- now the real fun begins! Hope there are lots more of us in the next few weeks!

You can apply for a SSC 2 weeks after entry to the USA on a K-1 visa.

As long as the I-94 is valid and has more than a month left you should be able to still get your SSC if not you have to now wait for your EAD.

ahhhh I see! gotcha! sadly I did not ... so I guess I have to wait for my EAD...

I did not come on a K-1 visa tho...I got married to a citizen while I was here waiting on my "stuff" to go thru... *sigh* its only been one month but its been a long month.. really appreciate ur response nonetheless

when I did my biometrics it was abt 15 mins from where I live...so I guess it all depends on ur current location and the location of the office...

As for EAD, yes you can get approved before your interview date.

As for RFE, you can still get it, even at the interview.

But lets hope that everything will go well for all of us.

I just got an email from USCIS - Alerting me to an interview on June 4th. Online status has changed to reflect this too.

It has raised two questions though:

1. With an interview being so close what are the chances of my EAD/AP being approved?

2. If an interview has been set, can I still get an RFE before the interview date?

:wow: from yesterday to being in "acceptance" to "interview" like that's really really good! i can assume that means ur case is progressing well and yes u can very well get ur EAD/AP approved before the interview.. if not u will just be given ur GC outright which is what we all really need anyway....

my case is still in "initial review" since march 19th I can only hope some progress is made this week...I am beginning to wonder if there is a problem with my case I just want to be able to do the simple things now... drive, take my son out for ice cream, have some independence..

Still no updates for me. No transfer notice either.

My biometric appointment was 20th April as scheduled for EAD/AP and AOS.

I am still hoping to travel home in June, AP depending...

where did u file? I filed in houston so i would assume my file would go to TSC
