  1. Hi all. My wife is in Manila and she has her embassy interview Dec 10th. Im in the USA. We met on cherryblossoms.com in may 2011. We have emails from back then but no screenshots of the website profiles and pics . Is it worth it to try to go back and look in the old accounts and get this stuff. Or is it ok just that we have communications with each other from then via email and yahoo messenger?

    Thanks

  2. while i prepare for my interview on the 19th of dec i want to make sure every thing is in other i want to know from people that got their visa after the interview how did you print your chat history?

like for example you want to use some text from facebook did your print your text with your fiance on the facebook page? or did you copy just the text out and print? if you dont understand my question i can explain better this is very important to me thank you

Do you ever use yahoo chat?

  3. I applied for an i130 on november 1th and i got my receipt number on november 2, but when i try to check the status of my aplication online it doesn't let me does anyone know why ?

I think you have to create an account with them so you can check your status online. Also it takes about a week to be able to check it online. If you got your receopt number like WAC******* then you have plenty of time . It will take them 3 months minimum to approve you at USCIS. Could be 5 months.

  4. Hello Everyone,

Our NOA1 receipt date was 4/24/12. Last week I did a Service Request and today I got a response: It say: "Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please contact customer service at the number provided below."

What does this mean?! What Should we do! Please help!

  5. Hi all,

I'm going to send my wife in Manila my phone records and other documents to show a bonefide marriage at her embassy interview. We have communicated 99.99999 by yahoo chat (which she has a small moutain of records). Our phone bill does show some texts and a lot of miscals where we call each other and hang up. It shows up as a 1 min call on the bill.

My question is: Would 3 or 4 months of the phone records be ok at the embassy interview?

    Thanks

  6. Hi all,

My wife is in Manila. We just got a RFI from NVC. We have to send them ans original NBI clearance. So I think they will get that from me next week.

My question is this: My wife wants to go to St Lukes in Manila and get her exam even though she doesn't have her Visa interview appt yet. She says its possible. I think if all goes well her interview will be in about 6 weeks. I know the NVC says dont do it but i've seen in this forum that some people have mentioned an advanced exam. Can she and should she go ahead and get her med exam? Can it be sent to the embassy just because she has a case number, even though the case is still at NVC? Thanks

  7. Hi all,

Does anybody have any information about how to get the ticket on Delta (for example) for my wife in Manila to fly to USA after she gets her visa? I've read that all tickets have to be ticketed in the Philippines. The airlines dont seem to know about the hassels involved when they book your ticket.

One guy said your spouse has to have an imprint and signature of the credit card used to purchase the ticket in order to get the ticket issued to my wife in manila.

    help!

  8. Hi all,

Im really comfused. I paid the $230 immigrant visa processing fee online. My wife is in Manila and she says she has to pay 10080 pesos fee at the embassy interview. Is this correct. Please see the attachment for embassy specific info. It says she has to pay at the embassy unless the online payment has been made. But for a little extra confusion it says she has to pay the surcharge. But it doesn't say anything else about the surcharge.

    So my question is this:

For those with CR immigrant visa interviewing at Manila, is there another fee to be paid other than the 88 and 230 already paid online??

    Thanks

    sorry. heres the attachment

  9. Hi all,

Does anyone know why the clerk at the Manila embassy asks for the husbands AOS at the interview? Is the clerk just too lazy to dig it out of the pile of documents sent to her from NVC? I already sumitted the AOS to the NVC and a spoke to the NVC person on the phone. She said my wife in the Philippins does not have to take the AOS to the interview because I already sent it to the NVC. And yet I read reviews on this site where a Filipino woman is asked to show her husbands AOS. I really dont want to spend another $150 to send yet another AOS. Can anyone who has experience with the Manila embassy please enlighten me?

    Thanks

  10. How long will it take from NVC to your Interview date? I got my NOA2 approval last October 1,2012. I just want to have an idea if I'll be able to spend Christmas with my wife.

I'll really appreciate for your reply, fellow VJers! Thanks!:)

Hi. I was looking at your timeline. You still have to send you DS-3032 (Agent of Choice letter, then recieve your AOS bill, then pay youe AOS bill, then send your AOS papers. Then you will get your IV bill, then pay your IV bill ,then send you IV papers. When you have done this youwill be waiting for them to tell you your intervew is scheduled. NVC will send you what you need to start all of this when they get your info from USCIS. Give them a week then call NVC. Good Luck!

  11. I know the cover sheet you mean, but lots of people on here sent their DS-3230 following a template on here before they ever received their AOS bill. So did I. I received the AOS bill and the DS-3230 yesterday, but I had already emailed it last week, following James' shortcuts and the respective template. Could someone let me know what to do now? I am worried that it will get rejected or I won't get any reply at all. I just want to be with my husbands as soon as possible.

Dont worry, you wont get rejected. If you have any doubts then follow the instructions on the DS-3032 and email it in with the signature. Then give them about a week and call them again

  12. Thank you for your reply, but now I am even more confused. I thought the email template was exactly meant so I wouldn't need the cover sheet, as everyone seems to be sending the ds-3230 email long before the official ds-3230 sheet is even generated.

The cover sheet im talking about is the same one you recieved when you received your AOS bill. Just use that anytime you send an email to NVC. Did you get the AOS bill yet? You wont get the offical DS-3230 until you pay the AOS bill. So you can wait on that or you can send the template with the cover sheet you got with your AOS bill. I hope that makes sense. If not, i'll explain more tonight when i get off work

  13. I just called the NVC to ask whether they had received the DS-3230. They have not as of yet which is okay since I only emailed it 5 days ago. But what really worries me is that this was the second person at the NVC who told me that you CANNOT just send an email for the choice of agent form. They said, if anything, I have to scan and email the physical DS-3230 form with the bar code. She said I should go ahead and send that. It wouldn't matter that I already emailed them something before. Now I am really confused. I am not sure whether I should just wait since everyone here says that the email works or whether I need to send the scanned form. The worst thing for me would be to slow things down.

I used this template http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form found here on this site and it worked

Be sure to also send the cover sheet. The cover sheet has the barcode they have to scan. If after 10 days they dont get back to you i would send again from the original email or call them again

  14. Ah thanks you..but I think he only stays for 10-12 days because of his job here ..so how many days before you get the license? so he should stay for 2 weeks i guess and i believe there are some seminars right?

There is a 10 day waiting period from applying for the license till you can get married. If it's a civil wedding then no seminars. You would have to go to municipality and have everything ready with them so when he gets there you go from the airport to sign your licence application, and the to the embassy to get the capacity to marry. 10 days later you can be married. he would need to bring any divorce papers, passport, birthcertificate and appointment letter from Manila embassy. All of this is on the Manila embassy website.

    Good Luck!
