Yup. That's my hometown. Crazy place and lots of people arrive from everywhere to there.
But I'm really glad it all worked out for you guys. Congrats!!
Can't wait till I'm finally at the POE stage.

I'm at 5 business day since I recieved my NVC Case #. But today, my AOS package information on the payment portal disapeared, supposedly I read on another discussion that this is a good indication that the system is getting ready to invoice me. Lets see what happens. I'm addicted to checking the payment portal multiple times a day. lol
-
Congrats JJC !!!
I checked this morning, and it said, not invoiced.
I just checked now during mid-day and my AOS information is blank. I guess this means they are in the process of invoicing me
This means I will be checkiing more now.

Now they know all we want to do is pay this stuff and get it going so why the delay. The one lady on the phone before I had got my case# explained "you will get an email in 2 to 4 weeks with your case# and instructions on what to do next". I about called her a not so nice name. How I don't think so.
I believe they say what 2 to 3 days from case# or so maybe.
**how are your hunni's doing on their end and the IV Bill stuff? For us because our police certificate only is good for 3 months I told my husband you wait until I get case#. Now its all systems go. He is suppose to be at cafe sending the DS-3032 I sent him. Why can't I reach him now. This is not the time for no phone issues. Ughhhhh sorry I am talking out loud (think its a VJ thang ya'll get me right??)
I feel ya on the Facebook I am on VJ more than that. I have my support groups thats it.
I hadn't known about the 2 - 4 weeks. It's been 4 business days since I recieved my case #. Anyone thinks I should be worried or is this normal?
We will definately learn patience ( or loose our sanity!!) with all this stop, wait, and go. At least we know we're not alone on this and that everyone goes through. But it's still annoying when you do go through it.
For us, I've been reading the Guides and researching for a while now so I think we pretty much have everything to go for when we finally can send the packages.
If they have internet at home, Skype and Facbook messenger have been very useful for me. We both know to check periodically during the day.
-
Thats good to know. I just did my morning check and everything still shows: my name and "Not invoiced".
Supposedly they said I would be getting an email. I've been checking my emails too. lol
I think I check the portal and my emails now more than I do Facebook.

I'm addicted to check the payment portal, at least twice a day.
Anyone else so eagerly waiting to pay a bill? HAHAHA
-
Called NVC and got my case # yesterday.
Ofcourse, now I'm addicted at looking on the payment portal waiting to get the invoices.
I've never been so anxious to pay a bill
So I am a MEP. Do I send my DS-3032 by email or do I do the DS-261? I really don't know where to find the DS-261 to submit. Does anyone know?

I JUST CALLED AND GOT A CASE #!!!!!
I'm so happy
Now, i'll be addicted to the payment portal
-
Yeah. I might just do the same. THey just told me last week it was actually 15 - 20 business days not consecutive calendar days.
The other 3 reps I had spoken to only said days. I should've asked.
Today is 21 days / 15 business days from when docs recieved by NVC. Still no case number
-
You made me laugh with the "wait, hurry up, wait, hurry up"
hahah that's exactly how I feel with this process. I'm waiting now for the NVC case number and "hurry hurry" is exactly how I'll feel to get the fees paid and package sent.
-
Just called NVC.
Got told "15-20 days" again.
Today is day 15 for me.
But you can't blame me for hoping.
Soooo ... I will give them two days before I call. Maybe Thursday or Friday. Depends on how anxious I am.
-
Congrats.
I'm still waiting on my case #. Actually on the phone with them now.
-
Called the NVC again today. Still no case number.
Told me the same thing of 15 - 20 days, previously they said 10 - 20 days.
Rest assured that I will be calling on Tuesday, day 15.

So do you think my wife should go get her shots up to date with her local doctor?
I've been reading the reviews here on VJ for people that have recently gone through Ciudad Juarez and some have mentioned that they do get shots. So I am assuming that they do give them.

-
So she get's them when she is at the POE, or later? Is there a timefram she has to get that done? I haven't read anything about this now since you mentioned it.
-
So what is suppose to happen once the NVC recieves my packet?
I called today and they said they recieved it as of 7/23. Do they then send this to the consulate already? I have to recieve a packet or a letter?
Have any of you heard how long they are taking to book the interviews for Ciudad Juarez?

My wife doesn't have her shots up to date. Which means she will probably have to get them all at the medical exam.
So, me being a bit curiouse, what exactly will they give her? and how much money should I expect to spend aside from the $165 medical exam fee?
They do say that some shots are not available. Should I be worried about that? will they require her to get those shots and where if they are not available at those medical centers? Has anyone experienced this?
-----------------------------------

Yeah, but i don't have a case # or anything. They told me to wait until they enter it into the system.
Are you saying that the NVC has not recieved your doc's?
-
I just got off the phone with the NVC. They got my case as of 7/23. The lady was nice but seemed rather quick to be off the phones.
And you guys will not believe what she told me : 10 - 20 Days to process my paperwork
Like thats a suprise
Oh well, here marks the begining of testing my patience.
-
Well reading all this don't give me so much hope.
I got my NOA2 on 7/18
So, I'm calling the NVC now just to see what the say. My NAO2 did say to allow 30 days for the NVC to process my case. BUT, here's hoping to be one of those "lucky one's".
BUt I rather doubt it. Seeing that I got mine way after you all did. Expect the worse and hope for the best, right?
-
Thanks guys.
So I am assuming that the AOS Package ( I-864 ) is scanned and e-mailed as well?
-
I got my NOA2 on 7/18. YAY!!!!
So I have been reading a lot about the NVC process and ever step involved. With what I have been reading, I am getting the feeling that the NVC process for Mexico is a bit different.
I have read the steps where it mentions pay the AOS and IV bills online, email the 3032, and then mail the AOS (I-864) & IV (DS-230) pakages. However, I am reading that we can do things electronically and there is vague information about the DS-260 and DS-261 and nothing that concretely says the steps for Mexico.
Can someone confirm If I am thinking right on the following :
- For mexico, do the DS-260 instead of the DS-230?
- All the paperwork for the DS-230, is that not submitted at all and will be reviewed in the interview instead? or do we still have to send to the NVC the doc's that I have read that need to be sent with the DS-230?
- What is the DS-261?
I guess what I am looking for is to understand the process for Mexico since it seems to me it is more electronic.
