  1. May i ask have you received your actual physical green card yet? my wife came on oct 9 and we got our ssn a couple weeks later but still no green card?

    Thanks

    be well

    Zac

    Hi Zac,

No, I haven't received my actual green card yet same thing as my SSN. I think it would take 2 months or so to receive the actual green card.

  2. I heard this happening before. Best bet is to go to your local SS office, fill out a very short form, give them your passport and I-94 card and get your SS card.

    Hi Enigma,

Thank you for the info, Yea I'll definitely go to local SSA office. I badly need that cuz I cant get a job. But I haven't received my I 94 card/green card yet. Hope my password will be acceptable.

    Again, thanks! :)

  3. Sometimes those on IR-1/CR-1 do not receive their SSNs. You should find the local SSA office and go visit them when a month is up with proper ID and immigration status and see where your SSN is. You may need to just apply for one while there.

    Good lcuk,

    Dave

    Hi Dave&Roza,

Thank you for the info you provided, Yea I guess its time for me to go to a local SSA office since 3 weeks has passed already.

  4. Hi everyone..im new in this site..katatapos lng ng interview ko kanina.ang bilis..ang sabi sakin ng consol e rereview pa dw nya further ang paper ko.wla naman hiningng another documents.ang sabi namn sakin nang pinoy sa wi dow 71 na antayin ko nlng ang visa..so guys can anyone here have any idea whats goin on with my papers?thank you.

I've got the same experience as yours. But the consul officer did told me to sit and wait for the processing of my papers. So I became so nervous that I didn't heard I was approved like any other applicants I have talked with at the USEM. But few minutes my q.num. was called at window 71, he get my passport since the CO didn't get it from me then told me to drop my 2go form at window 69. I was still confused after all that. As I got home, I read some reviews her at VJ.. I then realized, there are some CO that really never say you're approved. But the fact that you give 2go form at window 69 is I guess an assurance that you'll have your visa in a few days time. I got mine in 4 working days after the interview and now ill be leaving the country on the 6th of Nov. So don't worry about it. Congratulation! :)

  5. My wife said something about showing the DS-230 to the guard along with the interview letter before entering the embassy, but I did not read anything about that on the US embassy-Manila website.

I wonder if she saw that on VJ.

I don't understand why they would need 2 visa applications, but I emailed her a copy of the original anyway. Also she asked me to send her a receipt showing that we paid the DS-230 fee.

I saw a post in some forum of this site. I just dont remember it where in particular.

Well, that confused me. Since it's one of the document that is required to send at the NVC by the applicant, why do we have to provide or bring another one? thought it was sent at the USEM by the NVC along with other applicant's important docs.

If you gt a clarification on this, would u mind to share it with me..

    Thanks!

  6. Very interesting....I just chatted to my wife yesterday and she told me to email her a copy of the DS-230.

Thankfully I scanned a copy to my computer before I send to NVC.

Our interview is this coming wednesday.

I will be watching this topic to know the answer also.

Oh! I don't have any scanned copy but I can provide and fill up a new one...

Anyway, I hope before our scheduled interview we get to have an answer from the VJer's who were done from the interview. :)

  7. Hi guys! I was scheduled for an interview this coming thursday. All my docs and pictures were ready. But out of nothing, i wondered if DS 230 is still needed to bring by an applicant eventhough as I remembered we sent that form already at the NVC and I also saw from other post here that when they arrived at the embassy they show the DS forms and an appointment letter? What is it? Any info will be much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance! :)

  8. Guys,

Id like to ask.. I already have my interview sked. Now fr the appointment letter it says that, "If u file an Affidavit if support/ I-864 of Income tax return with extension in lieu for Federal income tax. The applicant must bring it on the interview day".. Something like that.. Anyone here knows what that extention means? Kinda confused. Please help me out with this guys..my interview date is fast approaching in abt 3weeks time. Thank you.

  9. Hi VJ's,

We already paid for AOS and IVA. AOS is now indicated as PAID in the site while IVA is still IN PROCESS. Now Id like to ask, Where can we get forms for AOS and IVA? Are we gonna download it in the site or NVC will send it to us? Just need to know, anyone here who could give a help is much appreciated. Thanks!

  10. First off, do not post your exact same question twice, within 30 minutes. Just post once.

Not sure why you're mentioning the DS-3032 and AOS together as they have nothing to do with one another. The IV and AOS are separate tracks at NVC.

As for the payment portal, if you've read previous posts in here and in the May thread, you'd see that NVC is currently having issues invoicing bills. Many people have heard from operators saying they're working on it and should be back to normal by tomorrow, at the latest this Friday.

Glad it worked out in the end! :)

I'd suggest calling up DOS once you see the package has arrived on DHL to confirm that it's arrived at Sydney.

Oh sorry for that and haven't read yet other people talking about that. I gotta browse though. Thanks for the info. :)
