That's nice for you. However there are multiple posts with 2 letters. 1st rescheduling 2nd denying for not attending first interview. Of course in most of these cases people were able to get their cases reopened for incorrect denial but it added several months of waiting and stress to the process.
There's also 2 posts in one week a month or so ago where people had medical emergencies and couldn't attend, called and rescheduled and given receipt numbers, then sent a denial letter. Then had to go through mess to get that fixed.
Moral of the story ALWAYS attend if you can otherwise be prepared for denial and cleaning the mess.
This is the best information so far, thank you sooooo much for that.I'll post in two days what happened.

Just FYI, I got three letters for the interview. First one was a interview schedule. Second letter canceled that schedule, so I didn't show up for the interview. About 2 weeks later, I got the third letter, which is a new schedule for the interview. I went to this one and it went smoothly.
Therefore, I don't think it matters whether you go to the canceled interview or not. You are going to get a new scheduled anyway and being interviewed accordingly.
Thank you very much for your answer,it helps.I hope that's gonna happen to me also because I dont know how I'm gonna wait that long again for the new interview.

Does anybody knows what are the questons for the interview?Thank you

I wasn't saying what you're doing makes no sense, i was saying it doesn't make sense for them to deny someone after they cancelled the interview themselves... they make no sense, not you... please read carefully what I was replying to before you get your panties in a bunch.
Alright then,I'm sorry for this missunderstanding,I dont speak or understand english that well ,thank you for your answer.

Hello everyone,
I filed my AOS on March 8th, and I have been waiting for my EAD for 86 days.
I have not gotten RFE.
How many of you had to wait more than 90 days to get your EAD?
I know it could take 90 days, but a lot of people who filed AOS later than me already at least got EAD and even an interview.
Thus, I was wondering if this is a bad sign or something about my GC.
If nothing happens in 4 days, I am going to call USCIS.
If you had to wait for more than 90 days to get your EAD and had to call USCIS, please share your experience.
Thank you so much for your time,
I waited 6 days after the notice that my card is in progress.Call them if you dont get it within 4 days.Maybe it's lost in the mail or something.Good luck!

wow... that makes no sense....

if u got a letter saying the interview is cancelled, why are you still going?
Because moast of the people who didnt go actually got canceled ,it's better to show up and see what will happen then just sit a wait for miracle to happen.

Hi all,
As our embassy appointment approaches I'm wondering how much evidence of an ongoing relationship we need? USCIS clearly believed our relationship was genuine, so I'm assuming now we just need proof that we have continued together in the meantime?
I live in my fiancé's country with him. Here's what we have for evidence:
- Letters of intention to marry from both of us
- My residency visa showing that I live in his country
- Passport stamps and boarding passes showing that I visited the States for a week in February but then came back and have been here since
- Our rental contract with both names (sent with original I-129F petition)
- Rent payment receipts from past few months
- Text messages (one per month)
- Photos of us together (one per month)
Does that look like enough? I could get affidavits from family/friends if that'd help...
Thanks!
Hi,I will have an intrview within 6 days and I'm gonna bring every single picture that we are together on,Trip tickets, airplane tickets, bills from our honeymoon that shows that we were together all the time.I think you got my point, bring everything that you have ,it's better to have more then less and I think they're gonna appreciate it.Hope that helps.Good luck to you !

Prijatan dan i srecno !

Evo mojeg iskustva do sada:Upoznala sam momka u 1 razredu srednje skole i od tad smo u vezi (skoro 5 godina).Ja sam dobila turisticku vizu i posetila sam ga prosle godine 1 mesec.

Go to your interview, the worst that could happen is you're sent home On the other hand, if you don't go, well this is the gov't.
Good luck!
You're completely rigth!
 Thanks!

I would show up. The person you talk to when you call USCIS works for a call center, NOT for USCIS. All they can see is what is in their computer (presumably the same as the letter you were sent). They have no idea if your local office got the message or not.
Otherwise, I would schedule an Infopass and personally speak to an IO at your local office to verify it is cancelled. But with your the date approaching so quickly, it won't save you any time since you would have to go to the office anyway.
The interview is shedule for june fifth at 7:30 am,I think it's better to come even though she told me that was canceled.I'm hopping for the best,I need a green card as soon as possible because of my collage and they are waiting for it :/ Thank you for your advice
-
Alright, I will let you know as soon as I hear something from them, thanks for the advice.
I called them and they've said that interview is canceled and I need to wait from 30 to 90 days to receive the new one.Should I still show up to the first appointment or not?Thank you all
-
I agree that it's best to go to your original interview. The whole rescheduling seems to go wrong often, and the applicant ends up having to refile.. which would be new fees and more waiting, maybe a new medical if the first one expired while awaiting the decision.
So yes, definitely show up to your interview, let us know how it goes.
Alright, I will let you know as soon as I hear something from them, thanks for the advice.

If anyone knows or want to say something please do so,every information is a big plus for me.Thank you all for your time

+1 on this. Unfortunately, at USCIS the right hand doesn't always know what the left hand is doing. There have been multiple cases on VJ where an applicant was sent a letter telling them that the interview had been canceled, but that didn't stop an automatic denial from being triggered when the applicant didn't show up. You should probably show up on the date and time of the original interview and sign in at the reception desk. If they tell you to go home then at least you've covered yourself by showing up. Some people have gone to the original appointment, in spite of having been told it was canceled, and they were interviewed that day.
Thank you very much for this answer! I'm gonna do that
-
Thank you very much for your responce.I'm gonna call them to see maybe it's a mistake or something because online nothing has changed at all,it still says that my interview is on
-
Did you call them at all?I'm so sad about it ,I really dont know what to do except to show up there like nothing happened.Thank you for your quick responce

I hope somebody can help me with my question: I am doing AOS from F-1, currently on OPT, recently received a letter that I was accepted to the phd program I applied earlier, but since I am not F-1 anymore and not LPR yet, can I go back to school?
I came here on B1 B2 visa and filled the AOS package, once you got your EAD and SS number you can go to school right away only paper you need to show them with the card is the proof that you dont have criminal record.I hope this info helped you.Sorry for bad english, still learning.
