  1. I know!! November!

So I placed my first service request on May 2nd. Was told to wait 60 days. That was July 2nd. A few days passed and I called and placed another service request because I never heard anything from the first service request. I was told to wait an additional 30 days. Still nothing.

In the mean time I contacted my congressman. They managed to get our application approved to be expedited. So I was really excited. This was middle of July. I then called USCIS to follow up and just inquire as to how much longer it might be since now our application was approved to be expedited.

I managed to get a tier 2 agent on the phone who was sooo rude and said to me, "it just means we are going to process it faster". Genius, thank you.

I then wrote to the VCS email address telling them that it has been ages and I am slowly withering away.

USCIS then sent an email back to me telling to to wait an additional 6 months!!!

    mental

So Icalled USCIS a few days ago to ask them what the hell was going on??!! tried to be as polite as possible but that too is getting really difficult.

The operator told me that if that is why the email says then i have to wait 6 months!!

I was like, do you hear what you are saying to me!! I have already waited 10 months and you are asking me towait 6 more?? There was just silence on the end of the line.. then I heard him say, "yes that is what I am saying". I had to hang up the phone because I was going to say something bad!!!

So now I am just like a headless chicken!!

    It is beyond ridiculous!!

  2. Mary hilarious!

What is not so hilarious is your 200+ day wait but you are not alone. I filed in November and I am still waiting.

I can't even call the service center because I lose my cool when I tell them I have been waiting for 10 months and there is radio silence on the other end of the phone.

I am beside myself with frustration.

I mean I think all of those people working at the service center should just start processing applications because they are sooo useless doing what they do now! purposeless jobs!

Anyway I hope you hear very soon.

  3. My application has also been pending at VSC since November 14th.

I have called numerous times, placed service requests to no avail.

I also contacted my local congressman's office and eventually our applications got approved to be expedited.

But apparently that doesn't mean much as that was about 6 weeks ago.

About 2 weeks ago I wrote an email to the VSC asking why it was taking so long. The response said I should wait another 6 months and if I haven't heard anything then give them a call!!!

I nearly had a heart attack.

It is ridiculous. I actually called again yesterday and nearly flipped out on the phone so I had to hang up.

It is a maddening process. I feel your pain.

All we can do is hope it comes today!

  4. Hi Guys,

So we filed in November and still have yet to get our NOA2!!!

I have called USCIS a gazillion times, contacted out congressman etc....

So a familt friend who is an imigration lawyer and has been very kind to give free advice through this process said the only other thing we can do is sue the USCIS to force them to make a decision on the case..

Does anyone have any experience with this?

    Anyone else waiting 290 days??

needless to say we are beyond frustrated!!!!

    thanks everyone

  5. Hi Naplesguy.

I submitted my NOA on november 14th and still no word.

What email addressed did you use?

I have submitted service requests and received the 60 day email. the 60 days came and went on july 2nd. i placed another service request and got an email back that i don't even understand.

I actually started another link with the response.

Congrats on finally getting the elusive NOA2!!

  6. Does anyone know what this mean?

I placed a service request on May1st- USCIS response was to wait for 60 days which was july 2nd. Still no word.

So i placed another service request and this is the response....

    I am sooooooo frustrated!!!!

The status of this service request is:

Processing times for specific applications and petitions at the Vermont Service Center (VSC) are provided on the www.uscis.gov website and are updated weekly. Based on fluctuations and variables that impact the processing times and for the purpose of interim or final adjudicative processing, the VSC allows 90 days beyond the posted date before the case is considered "Outside of Normal Processing Time" (ONPT).

An additional 90 days must be allowed for adjudicative review and processing before we can request expeditious processing based on an ONPT request. If the application or petition is still pending after 90 days, and once we receive your formal request for expeditious processing, your case will be forwarded to the applicable adjudicative unit for expeditious handling.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

  7. Yes this website can be either incredibly helpful and supportive or it can be infuriating!!

I don't know why this is taking so long.

I thought 5 months is a bit absurd but so be it, but now that we are rounding into the 7 months I am just beside myself.

    It is ridiculous.

I have been told that We will hear something by July 2nd. I don't know if I can make it that long!

    oh well.

I am going to call on Monday just for the hell of it!

    hang in there!

  8. What have they told you when you called ?

Have you raised a service request ?

What is you attorney doing/saying ?

Stay positive, it will come

So I called May 1st and placed a service request and they sent an email to me about a day later saying I would get an answer in 60 days. I called 2 weeks later and another person told me to email VSC and ask them what is going on. She said that I would have to hear something in 21 days??

So then the immigration lawyer called and put in a service request.

I then got an email back from an immigration officer quoting the original 60 day wait period!

    SO july 2nd it is...

If I don't hear something by then I might go ballistic!!!

  9. Hi November Filers!

Quick update. I called USCIS on May 1st and put in a service request. Received the email which said I should hear something in 60 days:(

Called back on the 15th.. Customs agent was very rude and told me I had to wait another 45 days.

So I called back later in the morning and spoke with a very nice woman. She didn't have a whole lot of info for me but she did tell me to email a certain address and I should here something in 21 days.

I feel like they all tell you something different!!!

    So basically still no word!

this is nothing short of torture....

  10. silly question, but what is the number you are calling to file a service request? Thanks and good luck!

I called the number on the paper copy of my NOA1. Seems like main service line. Then I finally got on the phone with a real live person.

The operator was actually really nice and said if I didn't hear anything in 15 days to call back. But then the next day I received an email that said if I don't hear anything in 60 days to call!??

Needless to say I am growing very impatient!

  11. Hi Guys!

Just have to vent a little. We received our NOA1 on November 14th. I hadn't heard anything so I called USCIS and they submitted a service request. The next day I got an email saying that I will hear within the next 60 days!!

Just wondering if there are a lot of November filers out there with NOA2?

I was really patient for 5 months and now all the sudden I don't have any left!!

Just want to say again how great this website is and how helpful it has been over the last few months.

    Thanks everyone.
