YAY!! Congrats on the good news! That is the kind of news that all of us going through Vermont want to see!!
-
Good to know as Ian is from Scotland too. One trip would be nice but we do what we must! We have a long way to go before an interview, but are hoping that time flys by!

Uggh!!! I know what you mean. Our journey has just begun too! We got our NOA1 on June 12th. I know its a long process. Work, kids and planning a wedding does keep me busy. I am so sick of Skype at this point and I've got a long way to go! I can't wait until Ian is home and I swear Im NEVER gonna turn skype on again. We have a trip planned in September, we figure that gets us 3 months passed since we filed. Hopefully it holds us over as after that neither of us will have vacation time for a while after that. I wish VSC would speed it up but as of now it looks like its processing really slow! GOOD LUCK!!!!

Quick question about the police certificate... Ian is from Scotland and what I've read on the site about police certificates is that it doesnt cover Scotland. Does he need to get a police certificate from Scotland as well? Thanks!

It's been so hot here. In the triple digits, I think it was 100F yesterday and supposed to be hotter today.

Telling someone those things aren't needed for London is 1) ridiculous, and 2) VERY irresponsible. While it's true, they probably won't look at them, why wouldn't you have them with you, when it clearly states they may ask to see them?
So sick of people making blanket statements like that. I mean, some poor person might read that, actually NOT bring any evidence of relationship to the interview. Imagine their surprise if they get asked for it!
So no offense, but if you have nothing useful at all to add, please don't add stupid things like that. Seriously.
I think that is a little harsh. Seriously if some poor person didn't take responsibility and find out for themselves then it's their fault and they must not want this bad enough. Sorry if that is offensive, but its true. I would love for Ian to get on a plane and just come over and never leave, but if we are going to follow the rules we are going to know what we MUST do. While Ian and I have just filed and this was our first post on VJ, we have been lurkers for a while. Anyway, my point is be nice and just for the record, you cant say no offense then call what they were saying stupid.. it is offensive and you can't apologize in advance cause that doesn't count!
