Exactly, Atleast you can count down on a calender or something! It's the not knowing when something is going to happen, thats the killer!

They got ours too, We are still waiting on a Case #.

Literally just called the NVC, was not on hold AT ALL....They got our case this morning!!!!!! Atlease they have it now!!

I'm guessing there is a MASSIVE back log at the NVC right now...

How long was it taking before, from case rec'd to case closed?

I honestly thought I might be back with my Husband by August. Now, I'm not so sure

We still don't have a case number yet from the NVC, And don't really expect one yet either...

Our NOA2 was only a few days before.

I think more patience is required for the NVC stage..

I don't know if I am a May filer or not, We only got ou NOA2 on the 26th April!?

My mother is a green card holder, she filed for my brother n I on march 30,2011. The case was approved by uscis but uscis sent the case to NVC bc they said we r not eligible to adjust our status in the US.

So this case is complicated bc my brother n I r here in the US and we have tried calling NVC to send the case back to USCIS but NVC said uscis has to request the case, then uscis says no, send a letter to NVC so then can send us 'uscis' the file. Our I-94 have already expired and my brother has received 2 days ago the DS form but my mother doesn't want to act yet bc she wants the case to b process here in the US.

At this point idk what to do my mother doesn't want us to go back to our country to get our cases process by the consulate when we r already here.

What can we do at this point. Pls I would appreciate your response.

I don't think this is the right thread for you to post here, and as I have already seen, you started a new topic with this same question...

I'm sure most of us would like to stay/be in the U.S while our case's are being processed and be with our loved ones, but not all of us can..I understand that you don't want to go back home, but it looks like you have too, if you want to do the process in the correct way.

My Husband got a text from them saying that my case had changed, he checked online and it was at post decision activity..

I looked at it alot, it was so nice NOT seeing initial review!

So, I know we only just got our NOA2, but, Ok the 15 buisness days to get from USCIS to NVC, fair enough, but is it right it can take another 2-4 weeks to actually get a case number from them?

No, I was not asked for other evidence either, just to show my return tickets! I had printed off the boarding cards for all my flights and showed him that. Asked me who I was visiting and where..He asked about my Visa status, so I told him I had a pending I-130 ( I did at the time)

Just be up front and don't lie!!

Oh, forgot to say, I'm NOT the USC!

But also,

I'm kinda confused...

It says we have to put a barcode ontop of the 2 forms you download from the NVC..

How do you get a barcode? And when they send out the packets, do those forms come in the packets?

If that makes ANY SENSE at all, please help!

So my Husband just spoke to someone at the USCIS and asked about processing times etc, The Lady told him that they have just started on November at the CSC, She said we should hear something in 1-10 days...

We don't have the NOA2 yet, but I'm just trying to be organised,

I have put together the following in an envelope to send to my Husband in the U.S:

*U.S spec passport photographs

*My Birth Certificate and photocopy.

*Our Marriage Certificate and photocopy.

*Police Certificate and photocopy.

*Copy of My Passport info page.

*Completed DS 230 pt1 signed and pt2 unsigned. (plus 2 spares only signed of pt1)

*Completed Choice of Address and Agent form. (Agent being USC husband)

Is that everything I can send?

Anyone else having trouble check case status on USCIS website? I can enter my case no. but it just goes to a page saying 'internet explorer can not open page' or something!

My Husband tried calling them and the line went dead after a couple of rings!

CSC is working on November filers at this momemt...so don't loose your faith because you are all almost there!
