  1. Yea, I actualy do have a copy of pretty much everything. Birth(copy), Marriage(original), Police cert(Copy of), I-184, Documents that I got from the medical, copy of the form with 2 parts, one I sign at the embassy (I forget the name of it!)

Also, as he is US military, and I am on his orders, have a dependant ID and I am on his life insurance, would they count them as proof of relationship to? I have plane tickets from when I went to see him also.

I'll get the photographs closer to the date.

I need to print out the email from NVC with date of interview on aswell.

    Thanks again Saylin!

  2. Thanks Saylin,

When you say proof of relationship, do you mean photos and cards, that kind of thing? I also have a rather large skype log of calls etc..

I just don't no whether to get ANOTHER copy of my birth certificate and police certificate? I have the orginal copy of our marriage certificate. And a copy of the I-184, I have that too.

Apart from getting some more photographs, I have my passport, Interview letter. I think I have everything. I just wanted to make sure I have everything while I have time!

  3. Hope everyone is well,

Ok, Got my interview date through..

    What is next?

The email says something about different packets?! What are they and what is in them?

I just want to make I'm 100000% sure, if we have sent marriage/birth/police certificates, I-864, I DON'T need to take them again? Just Passport, money for courier & photographs right?

    Thank you!

  4. Iryna, I'm pretty much in the same situation as you..Mine left the UK in August and I saw him once in Jan and thats it!

We got a checklist yesturday via email. Asking for documents THEY ALREADY HAVE but apparently just have not looked at yet!

So...Interviews, obviously I'm not quite there yet...but is there a massive wait on them? I honestly don't feel like I'm going to get out there until like October at this rate. :(

  5. Iryna, Yes he printed out the cover sheets and attached them correctly, and the portal has the AOS & IV both marked as paid! Thank you :)

Love1, You are probably right, I just don't want the important stuff getting lost! New identity anyone?! I guess I'll call them next week to see if they have got them!

    Thanks both, feeling better now!

Just hope everything is smooth sailing and I hear about my interview soon :)

  6. Hi all,

On June 18th we sent our AOS & IV (Dont ask!) packs to the NVC, My Husband sent them from Anchorage, AK. I'm not sure if he used reg/priority or courier or not, been calling the NVC just to see if they have atleast rec'd them...NOPE!

Are they lost? Are they just not showing up on their system because they havnt been typed in or whatever yet?

Please someone tell me its the latter!

Don't want to stress that all my marriage/birth certs etc are lost!

    :crying:

  7. Haha!! YEP!!! Yet, if we were to wait and pay? Things would just go even slooooooower!

I know there are millions of people all wanting and applying for visa etc, but...We are still waiting fot them to put out AOS & IV bill stuff on the system so they can see it on their computers! We were told that can take upto 20 buisness days  Then, more waiting, then they call London and ask them how many cases they can do a month. Then, more waiting...

If it was a stupid work visa? Oh no, they sail through so quick. That is just BS!!

So heres to all the people that are doing this legally and waiting months and months. Our spouses must be worth it ;)

    Grrrrrrrrr.

  8. Me and my wife are probably going to spend our 1st anniversary (June 30) on Skype. Initially we were hoping to have a ceremony for her family and friends in Pittsburgh, but we decided to wait until next year, even if I do make it over before the end of June. We've already made one wedding work within a two-day time limit - don't want to go through that again. This time we want to take enough time to plan ahead. Not that our wedding day wasn't spectacularly wonderful... it's just that, well, you know. These kinds of things are hectic enough as it is without having to getting it done in a day or two.

Wow, that does sound hectic! We spent our first year of married life together, the 2nd...Only 3 weeks.. That is a mix of Immigration AND The Military though.

I just kinda want a rough timescale of when we might be done, with (fingers crossed) everything going well and no hiccups...Oh well.

    :(
