Received interview letter in the mail. Interview scheduled for 7/10/15.
-
Received email notification today that my interview has been scheduled and the interview letter will be sent.
-
You just never know -- in our case, the only documents asked for were green card, drivers license, passport, and completely put of the blue, Social Security card, which we happened to have along with everything else.
It always surprises me when folks think it is a burden to put together a package of documents to take with you -- there is no downside to having everything handy, and huge upside if you get an IO who likes to delve into things.
How was your interview experience?
-
Yes, I had biometrics yesterday, and after it was done he handed me the book (has a CD in it)
Thanks for replying. Was just asking because I didn't see anyone mentioning it and I didn't receive one after my biometrics.
-
Did anyone that had their biometrics done got issued that citizenship handbook with the CD?
-
Thank you.Congrats fellas! Are any of you within the 90 days advance application period by any chance?
I'm not. I've been eligible since last year.
-
Received email that I am in line for interview.
-
Biometric done today.
My appt time was for 12:00 but I ended up going in at 9:00. The receptionist simply asked if I realized what my appt time was and I told him yes. He said it was ok since they weren't busy at all. My number literally got called as soon as I sat down. Total time there was 15 mins.

Thanks ilngrl777 !
Let me say this , I received NOA on 4/20 in the mail with priority date of 4/13. Others who applied around same time or received NOA around same time already have Biometrics notice around 1st week of May.
Crossing my fingers you'll get yours soon then.
Do you know if your DO has a back log?
-
If I'm not mistaken, it's usually scheduled either about a month after they receive the packet or about a month after your priority date.Hello,
I recieved NOA on 4/20/15. But have not received Biometircs notice yet. Looking at timeliness for others in the group who filed around same time as me, they got the notice. Is this normal? What if I don't get biometrics notices or get it after it was scheduled?
Thanks,
-
Please update biometric appointment for 4/30/2015.

Received NOA today.

Both. If you've moved within the same state or USCIS district, it shouldn't be a problem.
However, since most states require you to update your address within a few weeks of moving (30 days in Texas for example), you may get a picky interviewer who'll ask you why you chose to ignore a state law.
Thanks. I'll definitely do it this week. I'll keep a Front and back copy of the old one; not sure why but I doubt it'll hurt to have it.
-
Does anyone know if it matters whether the driver's license address and the address used to file needs to be the same (since the IO will request the DL in the interview; not sure if it's only for ID purposes, proof and length of time living in the district or both)?
Same city, just different street and house number.

Welcome, and I'm sure we all can help each other :-) Where is your field office (local USCIS office near you)?Hello!
This is my first time posting anything, anywhere.
I submitted my N-400 for Naturalization to Lewisville TX. They got it Yesterday, April 2, 2015 at around 10AM. I guess I'm included in the April filers. I would like to be able to help others and also get help from this point on. I didn't know this kind of website exists. i think it'll help a lot.
So, does anybody know if everything goes well, when will we have our decision and oath taking?
Basically my question is about the processing time of Texas for Naturalization.
Thanks!!

I'm getting kinda worried that I have not got a notification of receipt yet....
I'm sure you'll hear something today or by Monday the latest.
-
Check cashed 04/02.
-
Received text and email notification that my case was received. I-797 is in the mail.
-
Lol I know better than that...I think ?Phew. I was afraid you'd start messing with the table, or quote the whole thing. Wait, what? J/K
-
Kaskada...
After signing in, and I would do so under your husband since he is the one requesting them (creating an account is optional and I am not for certain that signing in under you are him makes a difference but I'd play it safe) it asks you to "select reason" in a drop down box. After making a selection it then tells you the one it recommends.
For immigration it recommends "return transcripts".

Please add me I will mail my application as soon as my tax refund enters my bank account. Applying base on the 5 years rule. Been eligible since 3-21-2014 but want to end journey this year. Good luck to everyone!
What's your resident since date and your field office since that's the only info that can be added at the moment.

Hi guys,
I'll be sending my husband's N400 at the end of April. I did have some questions about the application and thought someone would be able to help me:
1. Our marriage certificate is in Spanish- does that have to be translated and certified?
2. We have filed our taxes every year and have copies but where can I get the IRS certified copies and the IRS tax return transcript? I'm not too sure if this is the paperwork I receive right after filing taxes. Does anyone know where I can get that?
3. I printed an electronic receipt of my husband's selective service agreement, is that ok to submit? The application request a " Status Information Letter".
4. Lastly, the application refers to 5 years of work and address information. My husband is applying for his citizenship under the 3 year rule, does he still need to submit 5 years of information or just the 3 ( which has been how long he has resided in the US)?
Sorry for all of the questions. Hope someone is able to help
