  1. Hey me and my boyfriend found out online that we got approved.

a couple days later I received in the mail from the department of homeland security a "notice of action"

it says i-797 notice of action

im just wondering is this the NOA2 or am I waiting for something else to come with some instructions for us?

This thing I got doesn't really have any instructions for us it just says we are approved and stuff.

    Congratulations...You have been approved!

  2. It has been quite a long road. I am happy to report that our visa was approved. I flew to Manila to be with Michelle during the interview. We had our embassy interview on Monday and it went well. We were out of the embassy by 11:00 AM. We were very over prepared because they never asked for any photos, chat logs, proof of visits...NOTHING. However it was a bit scary when the Consular Officer told me to go sit down in the waiting area while he talked to Michelle alone. 5 minutes later, she came back with a big smile on her face!

Sorry that our case messes up the average time from NOA2 to Approval :-( We had to go through the 8 month DOT process after a positive sputum test. Thank God that is over, Michelle is well, and we are flying to California the end of next week.

    Michelle and Jeff

Wow! Congratulations...I am happy for you! The journey is finally over..

  3. I had a feeling we were going to get our NOA2 this week, and sure enough, we got our email late last night. We are both excited and relieved, and ready for all the planning to take place this fall, hopefully to have her here by the end of the year.

105 days is exactly 3 and a half months. We consider ourselves so very lucky, given that we got our NOA2 right at the tail end of CSC's massive slowdown to DACAs and weren't expecting it until October at the earliest.

Thanks for all the congratulatory messages guys! Being together soon is starting to hit home now. smile.png

    Congratulations...

  4. You know those times when you check and obsessively check and nothing ever changes?

Then one evening you are watching TV together (I am visiting Bob - my fiance and the USC - for the summer) and he gets an email come through on his phone from USCIS.

We scramble to check our case status online and HOLY SH** WE'VE BEEN APPROOOOOOVED!!! dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

Just twenty days from being received in Texas after being transferred from Vermont.

    I can't believe it!!!!!!!!

We just opened a bottle of wine dancin5hr.gifheart.gif

    Congratulations! Journey to another step....

  5. My husband passed away last week after a long battle against severe leukemia.

We got married on 24th of July 2012, so we didn't even get to stay married for a whole year.

I want to stay in the US, but do I have to apply for a green card again?

Or will I just loose it now since he passed?

I hope your answers will ease my mind. I need to know what to do.

    Thank you

Sorry for your lost! My heart goes to you and your family.

  6. Hi all, I want to apply I-130 for my mother and father. What documents need to be sent together with the I-130 such as birth certificate...ect? If so, do the documents need to be translated? Please help!

    Thanks very much everyone!

Yes. A certified english translation copies of your birth certificate and your father's marriage certificate are required to apply for your father or your mother. Good luck.

  7. The problem is that I am out of US taking care of my mom.

I own a house And my family is in US . I am the petitioner and none of my family back in US can help me with the. Infopass

I can only keep my finger crossed and pray to god?

I just noticed that someone else suggested the infopass appointment to your local USCIS office. If any RFE was sent to you and the USCIS did not receive any response from you, you would be risking for your petition to be denied. In my case, a RFE letter was mailed to me and I did not know until I received a NOID letter. You are probably in a hard situation since you can't leave your mom. Hope things go well.

  8. I filed for my parents I 130 in dec2012 . I have received the receipt Noa1 with MSC .#

Since them no LUD on the case wondering what's going on .

    It's 6 months on June 2013

Most depressing time in ones life waiting for approvals from USCIS

    Good bless????

I suggest you do the infopass appointment to speak to your local USCIS Immgration Officer. He or she can see more into the case details.

  9. Congratulationsgoofy.gif .

As for my Mom's case i am still waiting for her original documents to get her,she already mailed it to me yesterday from PI, so hopefully soon.. My case has taking this forever because my Mom has to get her BIrth certificate from NSO and have to correct her name and when she got those, have to get her passport as well, on top of those process i went back to the PI for emergency for a couple weeks(lost my brother) so do not have the energy to do extra things as we are mourning.. And now as life goes to normalcy i have been pushing my mom to get everything done, decide and plan what to do back in PI because i am the only family member that she have left other than close relatives. That is why i have not paid IV BILL because of this but is planning to pay next week will just in time for her papers to arrive.

So congrats to those who passed and good luck for those who are still waiting.

    Thanks Waynelaarni!

I am so sorry to hear about your lost and I do feel your pain. I lost my 20 yrs old yound sister few years ago and it was painful to know that she was gone.

As for your mom, I know you are all still mourning the lost of your brother and the energy is probably not there. Please remember that, God have plans for all over us in this earth. Be strong and you will get through. May his soul rest in peace!
