Applied from my husband who came on a B2 visa

The process is pretty straight forward...If you guys dont want to be apart doing the AOS is the best option for you. All I recommend is to ensure that you guys READ the instructions guide completely. Dont just skim READ IT COVER TO COVER. That way you will avoid any mistakes which can delay the process.
Good luck and congratulation on your marriage

If you sent a copy with the package they may not ask for it....We had a huge folder of stuff and she did not ask for anything beyond other evidence of marriage...photos, bills etc.
None-the-less, I hope your wife finds it, you can never be to sure with these things.
Good luck

It means that your green card has been approved....expect your welcome letter in the mail in a few days
Congratulations

I thought you said she wasn't arrested or charged...where would this one apply? Was she fined?
yes he said she was fined but not charged
-
I think you should answer yes and include an explanation letter as well. If you still have copies of whatever she signed maybe a copy of that as well. I think you will be fine im sure people adjusted with arrest on their records and got approved.....good luck

No worries M & L
I got another card production update this evening. I haven't got the USPS notification yet. I hope it comes soon.
I got card mailed notice today...so excited hubby will be holding his GC by the end of this week....off to the social security office next week

happy that you had a mostly positive experience...funny when we had our interview I did not even think to peak at what she was writing...oh well I was a bit nervous.
Congratulations

I guess the question you are worrying about would be question 1 a:
Have you EVER, in or outside the United states:
a. Knowinly committed any crime of moral turpitude or drug related offence for which you have not been arrested?
And based on what you have said the only answer to this question in your case unfortunately would be yes....
No sense in trying to get around it with a lie...the truth is always the best route when dealing with immigration.

I think you guys will be fine...if anything get your contract ready so if you do get a RFE you can send it back right away.
Best of luck to you and your wife

Any updates on your interview...wishing for all good news

There's something kinda strange happening to our case.
On April 19, the day we had the interview, the status bounced between "Decision" and "Card/Document Production" but remained as "Decision" thereafter.
On April 21, the status changed to "Card/Document Production."
Now, April 23, the new status read "Decision, On April 23, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing...."
Anyone else currently experiencing this???
I think when they do update the online statuses they simply have to following the order in which it appears...so they jumped the gun and put your update to card production, but went back and made the correction. That just my assumption anyway.
Congratulation...

He is not going to get anything related to SSN. Need to apply on his own.
Thanks...I was not sure because when I came to the USA in 2006...I received the SSN in the mail even before I got the GC. But I got here through counsel processing so I guess that makes the difference.

Got the card production notice today... But I was now wondering if my husband will automatically get a social security card mailed to him with the approval of the AOS or do we have to go to the office and apply once we receive the card.
Thanks for you help

I had intervew 3/7/2012 and still nothing.Do you have any answer??
Took us 5 business days..but as everyone told me there is no real number of days...some people are lucky get notified by the time they get home, and some people are still waiting after months...and other like myself fall in between.
Just hang in there...i wont tell you to relax because I know waiting after the interview is more frustrating than waiting to go to the interview.
Good luck

Just take whatever evidence you have....the old lease if it has both names on it and have your mother-in-law write a letter stating that you both live with her and that she is the one primarily responsible for the bills. Make sure she has the letter notarized. Collect pictures from your entire relationship, get your child's birth certificate as soon as possible, there is no bigger proof than that certificate with both names on it.
Good luck

I don't think vehicles count as assets for the purpose of this form...I could be wrong.
Someone else may pipe in but I can verify that not sending a complete tax return is often an issue...
I think you can only use a car as an asset if the sponsor has more than one in his/her name. its in in instructions you should read it over to make sure what you can use.

Spent all these years for me a total of two...waiting on case status updates and hard copies...endless days checking my email around the clock to see if I got something from USCIS and now it just weird that I dont have to do that anymore.
I guess you get use it, but I tell it sure feels weird not waiting anymore.
