  1. No, I am not talking about the 1-94..I am talking about the approval notice that you get before you have your interview.

Search for it? Or what Leftcoastlady said.

Btw, your timeline is not accurate. It shows that you entered the U.S. on a K1 visa on 2013-03-11, but that your wedding is not until 2013-08-10. That can't be correct, since you have to marry within 90 days after entering the U.S.

Actually we got married on March 31st in Court...but our church wedding will be in August :) I want to remember my church wedding.

  2. I have a few questions before I submit

    I-864

    • I am only including my tax returns ,2010,11,12
    • Should I submit bank statements?
    • Should I include paystubs?

    Evidence of Bonifide marraige

My husband came in March 11th, and we got married in court on March 31st

    • I havent filed with him on my bank yet, what other evidence can I show?
    • I have our marraige certificate, some pictures, our church wedding will be in August, can I show a copy of our invitation and how we are registered?

    I-693

    • He took his medical exam in October, do he have to submit that again?
    • He has his chest xrays, would i need to send that in.

Also, I just want to make sure that I dont have to double up on any of the copies such as marraige certificate, passport pictures, birth certificates or g325

Thank you for all your info help

  3. I translated my own and got it notarized. You do not need it for the K1 but you do need it for the next steps, and for life. If you want the translated one I did, let me know and I'll send it to you as a link...

PS--I included a notarized Translator's statement with it too...

    I

I would like to have that translation please, how did you get it notorized yourself?

  4. Good morning,

I recently had a friend who is in the Peacecorps and married a wonderful man in Africa. Since she hasnt been working in the United states for the past two years, she would need someone to co-sponsor her. My question is, can someone sponsor her and her husband if they already sponsored for someone else who petitioned here within the last year. Please let me know, thanks in advance

  5. Hey guys,

It has been a week or so since I posted. I just wanted to give a big thank you to my online family for all the love, support, advice and encouragement. This is a special journey that we share and I am so glad to have people like you share it with. My fiance has finally made it accross waters and I couldnt have done it without you guys. Special shout out to my Haiti portal family. I really really really appreciate the support. I dont know how I could have done it without you guys. This is just the beginning, we still have to do the I485, so I will be here to ask way more questions, lol

    thanks again and God bless!!!!!!!

PS...when does he do his social security card, liscence, and all of that other stuff

I love you guys!! Thank you!!!

  6. For those who has recieved their visa's for their loved ones...may you please give a brief description of Point of Entry from Miami. I am trying to give my fiance a step by step account of what to do from the plane all the way to the immigration office. He has a connecting flight to Orlando as well. Thanks for your help in advance

Ps. I have read some of the POE reviews but I still wanted a newer version from some of us.

  7. Thanks Selavi, I started the new job at the end of December of '11 so my whole 2012 income is based on that. Hopefully they wont say anything, but my mother and father said they would be a co sponsor. Another question? Do I give them both,or just my mom's? My Mom is petitioning for my auntie, but that can take years...Would they equate that as an extra person? Ugh..I just want this to be ooovvverrrrr. My wedding is planned for August 10th...so hopefully everything can be situated by then

  8. Hello Vjers, as I have mentioned, the embassy has finally asked for my w2's. Ferlay has submitted it and they say they will put it in his files and the consular officer will look at it later. I have a question and concern; question: What is the average amount of time does it take from this point forward? Is it going to be 5 months again? Now, my concern...in 2011, I made about 3000 less the required amount because I was in between jobs, but for 2012...I made over double that? Would they count that against me? I gave them my 2011&2012 w2

  9. Hello everyone, hope all is well. So after three months of being in AP..I got a bit of information ..I called, again, to the NVC. Usually they say "Ma'am, your cache is still pending and currently under administrative processing...and if something is needed, The embassy will contact your fiancé immediately blah blah" two days ago, the same script followed but....added that they received or requested my w2 forms. The representative couldn't tell me which one. I'm not going to sit and let her figure it out, those w2's will be there by next Friday. With that being said, how soon after being in AP and them getting your requested information will a decision be decided? I'm so desperate to see my love here with me. I am going to Haiti in march and praying that he comes back with me. Thank you in advance for your answers and please continue to pray for us.

  10. Hi guys, I hope everyone had a great holiday. Me and my fiancé has been in AP approaching 3 months(January 19th). My question is what is the average amount of time someone can stay in AP? When do you think I should start contacting the embassy( I stopped calling them after two weeks when they said they couldn't give further information)? My wedding is in August and I am praying that he comes to me soon. Also, is there anything else I can do to get in contact with them...I just want someone to talk to me so I can know exactly what's going on.

  11. Okay, to make a long story short. We applied for the K1 visa. Everything went smoothly, they approved our petition in exactly 5 months, we submitted all our paper work for packet 3, submitted the medical results and had our interview. Well, my fiance went on his interview by himself and I regret that part so so much. From what my fiance told me is that they put us in AP because they wanted to further examine my financial paperwork. I make more than required amount and I submitted everything that Visajourney told me; paystubs, employer letter, bank statements, tax transcripts...everything. Now we have been in Ap for a month and neither the Port-au-prince Consulate nor the National Visa Center can tell me what exactly we are in AP for. Whenever I ask them, they say its illegal to tell me the reason and all we can do is wait. They said it could take two weeks or 6 months....6 months!!!!! for just knowing why????? I just want my king to be here...

PS. I wrote my congresswoman, and they told her the same thing...sad :( :(

  13. Hello everyone,

Today was our interview and I was not able to attend with my fiance. He said that the person interviewing him tried to confuse him in answering questions by asking the same questions in different ways. He then said that he could not approve our visa today because he did not believe my employment letter or that my paystubs were authentic. The reason I think he may think that is because I sent 3 years of my IRS. I recently started a new position at the middle of last year, which shows less of what I am making now. Now that I am in the full year, my paystubs are higher and my IRS for this year will be greater. Could this be a possible reason? If so, what is it that I need to do?
