  1. My wife and I were filers from last January. She NEVER checked. I did 3 times a day almost religiously for the first 4 months and then it just became too stressful. Finally I stopped and BAM.... there was my ail from USCIS. I called her at 12:30AM Moscow time and she was like "ah Jamichik (her Russian nickname for me) it is great, may I sleep?" Lol. Hang in there y'all, great days are coming!!!!

  2. Are you really that stupid? I didn't say I didn't agree with them, I said I had never heard of them. The quote was a cut and paste from a website. The only person who would wet their pants is the one looking in your mirror.

I spent 30 years in the military slick, with two tours in Vietnam and one in the Gulf War. Want me to post a copy of my DD-214? I am a disabled vet who was awarded Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC) for the rest of my life.

I have done a lot more than act badass in front of a monitor.

    Read it here slick

You sir, are a hero and I am proud that "We the People" have such men and women as you.

  3. Just a thought..... If you get married (even just a ceremony without legalities) you would have to (technically speaking) lie about it during your interview. Lying to USCIS in any form is not recommended at all and the interview will be stressful enough without the added worry about a lie. I may be wrong, but this is my opinion. Sveta and I wanted a autumn wedding and we were just as pleased with a Christmas wedding. August is POSSIBLE. Best of luck!

    Edited for a missed word:

  4. Our orange juice, and grapefruit juice for that matter, is still hanging on the tree in our back yard. The soup she made yesterday is still sitting out today. Guess I am lucky as I have not been getting sick.

Lol, yeah!! Man, I'd love me some fresh oj!!!!

    Added in edit...

And..... Our oranges go in the refrigerator......

  5. With Sveta...... EVERYTHING (except drinks) go into the refrigerator....)))). And, yes, she will gladly drink a warm beer. I have almost gotten used to the Campbell's creamy tomato soup being stored in the refrigerator while our orange juice sits on the counter all night!!! ❤❤❤

  6. My fiancée and I are working on her AOS papers and we have a question. I apologize if it has been asked already but I couldn't find it....

She is here on I-129F visa and our wedding date is 12/22/12. Our question is... when we file will we use her maiden name or her married name on the forms (where is asks for "family name")? I am assuming she will use my last name for these forms?

Also, her middle name will not fit in the place permitted should we just use her middle initial?

Thanks in advance fellow VJ'rs!!! ?

  7. Thanks Beth and Sara. It will be totally surreal when it happens, I probably won't believe it's true for a week!

The long distance is hard. I'm thankful for skype, yet at the same time, I just wish I could reach into the computer and touch him... and it is super hard not knowing when I'll be able to do that again. We've always had trips planned every 3 months or so, so something to look forward to... a date... we would count down the days... but now, we don't have that, all we have is limbo.. and it sucks.. :(

I am so ready to go... even the kids are ready to go at this point.. and not being able to let them know when is frustrating for all of us... It is pretty difficult to plan for anything right now, just one day at a time.

Rick in his quiet strong way is keeping strong for both of us... but I know it's starting to weigh on him too.. ahhhh c'mon Vermont Disservice Center, show us some love already!! ...

We are praying for you brother!!!
