  1. Look at this link: http://www.visajourn...18#entry4971318

Which vaccines are you missing? Or Is it incomplete ONLY because some vaccines are ticked "not age appropriate"?

Thank you for sharing the link! i think i have the same worksheet that you mentioned. Actually there is no missing vaccines, they ticked "not age appropriate" the rest of my immunization. They only gave me 3 vaccines namely Dtap, MMR, Varicella with dates given.

So is does this mean I'm good to go for my interview right?

Moved to Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas, from K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures as this is and AOS question.

    thanks by the way!

  2. Hello guys! it's been 4months since i got here. I just receive a letter for interview this coming October. I'm confused if i should comply the form I-693? because they say;<br class="Apple-interchange-newline">I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status.I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form

Now it says here in my vaccination worksheet the result; VACCINE HISTORY INCOMPLETE and APPLICANT MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR BLANKET WAIVER BECAUSE VACCINATION NOT MEDICALLY APPROPRIATE.

Should i go see a Civil Surgeon before my interview or NOT?

    Any suggestions?

    PLEASE HELP

  3. i see! thank you so much for the info! i'm already looking cheapest price as much as i could but i think it's not gonna be less than $800 because of the urgency that i have to be there in US last week of april! ;-(

anyway, thank you so much for everything!

Thank you lord! ALL IS WELL....ALL IS WELL!

No problem fellow VJ'er.   Always happy to help others :D :D :D

You can wait for the Visa to arrive. Which can take anywhere from 7 - 10 business depending on your location. Then attend the CFO Seminar and receive the sticker and stamp same day.

Alternatively you can go take the CFO Seminar anytime. Upon completion, they will issue you a certificate. You will need to return once you get the visa and passport in hand. Then they will place the CFO sticker and stamp in the passport. Then you are done with that process.

Yes your fiance(e) will book a one way ticket to USA. Try Delta, Cathay, or Continental <---(expensive)!!. I booked my wife's ticket with Delta last year November. The ticket was the cheapest I could find at that time for $712 USD.

One other thing make sure to check if the departure tax is include in the price of the ticket. NAIA imposes a P1,620 Filipino departure tax on all Filipinos immigrating to another country. If it is not include in the ticket. You will need to pay the departure tax at the airport.

  4. thank you wally! actually it was you blog than turn on the light on me! ;-)it was very detail and precise. thank you! i didn't wait for the letter from embassy. i just ask the MNL case # from NVC and that's it..everything goes smoothly. if i waited for the letter probably it will take me another 3 months. ;-)

now, i just wait for the visa and have the CFO seminar right?

one more thing, how about the ticket, is it one way? or round trip? and is there any travel agency you may know that offer a cheap price? ;-)

    thank you wally!

    Congratulations Whooohooo!!!!

    :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Good Luck and God Bless!!! Oh yea don't forget about CFO!!

  5. thank for the reply! ;-) really appreciate it..anyway, so what happens to the return flight? i will just cancel it?

Hey! You can book whichever is cheaper! Usually this is a round trip but I was lucky enough to get a 1 way for an okay price. If you get a round trip and they ask why, just tell them the truth...IT WAS CHEAPER! They probably hear it all the time.

You only need your visa at POE not to book the flight.

  6. i see! thank you for the info! if you don't mind what common questions they ask in the interview? just a heads up...yes.gif

you don't have to wait for any letter from the embassy. before you enter the building, they will only ask you for your passport, print out of your interview appointment they emailed you and your ds forms.

  7. Thank you for the info! God bless!

This is the link to the K1/K2 page, note the required documents for the interview. DS-230 is not required of you. Don't wait for any letter or package from USEM, how fast you get through the final steps and land in the arms of your honey is mostly up to you now -- provided you pass the medical and interview.

Register online for the medical at St. Luke's, registering online will save time on the day of the actual medical. This is the link to St. Luke's, note the required documents for the medical.

Before or after your interview at USEM, you'll need to attend a CFO counseling session. If you have the visa -- you get a CFO sticker placed in your passport after the counseling session. If you attend the CFO counseling before you have the visa -- you return to CFO with your certificate to get the sticker. That sticker is required before you can exit the country. Here is the link to the CFO website, note the documents required to attend the counseling.

As far as I know it isnt required to submit tax info with the 134 but it is done in many cases. At my embassy they request tax info most of the time for example but it isnt required. Check with your embassy

One question would be to find out if the embassy would even allow the use of a co sponsor. Some do, some dont in K 1 cases. Doesnt sound like you need one anway. However I dont understand the meaning of " the point is" sentence. It seems to indicate someone gave you tax info for 3 years.

What may be needed is your fiances' tax transcripts for at least one year. If the most recent year didnt fairly reflect his income then he should supply more years to create an average.

If he is going to submit only tax forms & not transcripts those forms must include all supporting documentation. Submitting a W 2 only will probably result in a request for more info therefore a denial until its submitted. If he is going to get an extension for 2011 it is then correct to supply the extension info.

Contact the IRS by phone, on line or in person to obtain the free transcripts. Get them by fax, mail or in person at any IRS office.

Did he provide you with a copy of the request for an extension and the acceptance of said extension for his 2011 income tax return?

You are so right. Absolutely absurd to haul suitcases of chat logs to USEM. No officer is going to look at all that. In fact unless there is a red flag, chances are they will not look at anything. It seems that people always concretate on the wrong things. I have never heard of a case at USEM, being delayed because of lack of chat logs, cards, etc etc. It is almost always lack of sufficient income, no divorce decree, missing info on NBI etc etc.

I know someone is going to say, " What will it hurt to have all that in case, my answer is nothing. It will not hurt to memorize the pre amble to the constitution, the words to the star spangled banner or to memorize the state capitols, it's jsut that it's totaly a waste of time. Concentrate on the important things like making sure you have all your legal docs in order and you meet the basic requirements for income and have proof of that etc etc.

A few random selected pages of chat logs, a few cards, receipts where you sent money, 7 or 8 pictures are plenty. I hear people talk about thier 5+ lb packages they send for the interview and scratch my head.

Cash payment at any Bank of the Philippine Island (BPI) branch. Just go into the branch nearest to her and tell them you are paying for K-1 Visa application fee. They will know what to give her to fill out. If she is unsure on what to fill out ask the staff there to help her fill it out.

    BPI Branch Locator:

    http://info.bpiexpre.../BranchesSearch

    Passport and MNL number

When filling out the online applicant or speaking to the USEM agent. You will need the receipt number on the receipt from BPI.

USEM will give her some dates to choose from. Once she selects a date. Appointment is set!! You can reschedule but they will push you further in the month or next month.

On the interview date she will have a time most likely 6;00 - 6:30 AM to be at the Manila USEM. She needs to have all her required documents in hand, appointment letter, and passport. Again refer to K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions as for what is needed. Make sure she has all papers organized. It makes for a easier processing at the embassy and shows seriousness. Buy a organizer with tabs. Label the tabs for each requirement.

Once at the embassy, she will fall in line. They will take her appointment letter, check passport and assign her a number. At the embassy they don't allow any electronic devices.

You are not allowed to enter the U.S. Embassy/Consulate while carrying any of the following items:

battery-operated or electronic devices such as mobile phones, digital diaries, digital watches, pagers, cameras, audio/video cassettes, compact discs, MP3s, floppy disks, laptops, or portable music players

food items (refreshments are available for purchase in the waiting area)

    sealed envelopes or packages

    cigarettes, cigars, match boxes, lighters

sharp objects such as scissors, pen knives or nail files

weapons or explosive materials of any kind

If she needs her cell phone they will ask her to check it in at the security section. They will give her a card so she can retrieve at the end of interview.

They will give her a form to fill out on how to deliver the passport with visa. Either it's deliver to her home address or she can go pick it up at a 2GO location.

Once inside, she will need to look on the board for her number to be called. She will go to the window and ask for her paperwork. Then she will be finger printed. They will tell her to wait again. Once her number flashes again, she will have her first interview with Filipino consulate. They will ask her a few questions and check and process her documents. (MAKE SURE SHE HAS ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS). If all is in order she answered all questions to satisfaction. She will then wait again for her number to flash again on the board. Then she will have her final interviewer US consulate. Consulate will process her paperwork and ask a few questions. If all is in order she will be told to wait again for her number to flash. Then she will go to the 2GO window where they will take her passport. They will give her a receipt (make sure to ask if they do not give one).

That's it for the USEM interview. You can now breathe a little easier.

Now if there is a problem. They will give a 221g form and state what the issue is. Now you will need to get them whatever they want in order to proceed. Now this is pull a long process when your in Admin Review. Look on VJ for Admin Review stories.
