perez525 reacted to charmander in ROC 9 months . why so long?
If you are asking "why", short answer is Vermont center preferred slowing down its operations on ROCs since last summer. If you are getting close to the expiration of the 1 year extension and still not approved, make an infopass appointment and they will put a I551 stamp on the passport which will extend your residency status for another year. At this point calling will not help you because you are still considered within normal processing time. What's your NOA date?

you dont have to file separate for minor. minor will be included as dependent on you application. you need to just pay minor's biomatric fee.
    so in total 505 + 18 + 18

I'm very sorry to know you guys are going through a tough time, it's very hard for everyone, the petitioner and the beneficiary adjusting to a new life. I must say that my husband and I have had very rough times, and even tried to send him out myself, but thank God with time and patience we have been working on our relationship and things have gotten better. It takes time and alot of communication to get through this hard adjusting period. Especially if he's not working or doesn't have a driver's license (in other words feel like they depend on us woman). I'm not sure what your situation is like, but like GodsGift225 said, you have to really sit down and make sure this is something you both want. Nobody has it easy and I know sometimes we tend to feel even more frustrated because we have put so much effort in this and we feel like is not enough for them. So don't feel like all the wait and effort was for nothing, I'm sure he's very grateful and in love, just sometimes the adjustment doesn't sit well with alot of people, being away from home, especially in this cold weather and not sitting outside drinking a beer. A little bit of space and meditating is needed. Maybe a night out just for the two of you outside of the home, as a couple, the way it was in DR with no worries and no fights. Remind each other of the great times you both had in DR and how things can be the same way, just with more responsabilities. It has helped my relationship alot, and we're both at peace with each other. Wish you the best and never give up! You have came very far to accomplish where you are at now.

you can leave them loose in a clear plastic zip up bag. Make sure to send atleast 10-30 pictures.

perez525 got a reaction from In<3 in waiting for interview date
Yes the NVC and DOS can give you the date. In her case, since she filed for the CR1 visa, the NVC assings the date for her and not the embassy. This is the case for all CR1s. When you file for a K1 visa the embassy assigns it but you can find out through NVC or DOS because the embassy must notify that an interview date has been assigned, and to avoid paying $7 for each call by calling the US embassy in Santo Domingo we call NVC and DOS to find the date.

Even if you do get the packet from the embassy, here is the website for the US embassy in Santo Domingo detailing everything you need to have for the interview and you're also able to print out the forms. Even though I don't even have a NOA2, I filled these out for my fiance that way he can use them as an example and make sure they're filled out correctly in English.
