  1. thanks. I appreciate it. I had an apt booked for tomorrow morning for the UK Passport however having just got the time to fill out the forms seems that I need a counter signatory so I cannot go tomorrow which sucks. I now need to delay my trip to the US as I was supposed to leave next weekend.

the thing I read on the us embassy London site was that if you have the visa/passport stolen then pretty much, its a new application. I also did get a response from the embassy by email and said:

Please note that now you have reported your passport as lost or stolen we will not be able to amend your record should you find the passport. If your passport is ever recovered, it can no longer be used for travel to the United States.

Once you have obtained a new passport, you may apply for a new visa. Please note that it is not possible to transfer a visa from one passport to another without making a new visa application. Detailed information about how to apply for a nonimmigrant visa can be found on our website: http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/apply.html.

Visa appointments can be scheduled online at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb or alternatively through our call center. Callers within the United Kingdom should dial 020 3608 6998. Callers from the United States should dial 703-439-2367. The call center is open Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 9:00pm (local time: EST in the U.S.). The call center is closed on all UK and U.S. holidays.

  2. Hi all. sorry if this is the wrong place but im pretty shock up.

my home got burgled last night, a lot of stuff got stolen which is my livelihood.

they of course stole my passports. one is a new one, the other one is an expired one but has my US B1/B2 visa. I was also due to travel to the US in a weeks time.

I have reported my passport stolen. I followed the instructions on the US Embassy (London) website about what to do if your passport/visa is stolen.

question is, what are the chances of me being able to get the visa re-issued if I already had it issued before?

this is seriously a big concern for my career and tourist purposes. not eligible to travel on VWP otherwise I wouldn't have applied for the visa.

    thank you.

  3. I am wondering what can and cannot be done with an H1B visa. Here is part of my story:

I am a contractor, self employed, in the IT field. I have my own company in the UK.

I currently have a client in the US and have been doing work with them.

They want me to move over and or potentially work with them onsite therefore they are willing to sponsor me for the H1B visa.

Now, hopefully if this gets approved, then can I still be a contractor and work for them in the US (or other potential clients in the US on their premesis)?

They also said that the H1B would be tied with the company meaning that if we part ways, that I would not be able to work for another company in the US and they would essentially "take away" my H1B?

  4. So here is my question:

    I have a B1/B2 visa.

I have a client in the US but get paid in the UK in my bank account. Sometimes I visit the client for business meetings and to work from their office for a couple of days.

Now, if I were to stay there for say 4 months and work there (but still get paid in my UK bank account), does this violate the B1/B2 visa? Would I be allowed to temporarily stay and work there?

  5. Hi.

I have a US visa on an expired passport. I also have a new passport.

When filling out the I-94 form it asks me for the passport number, start and expiration date. But for which passport? Would this be the one where the visa was issued (the expired passport) or would this be the new passport details only?

  6. it really doesnt bother me how you see it :) i know what ive asked and all legit. sorry you cant accept that. not my problem.

good day to you. shame you cannot accept or handle the truth for how it truly is rather than stirring up things and completely lying about things.

  7. what? give me a break.

I dont get why I cannot ask legitimate questions here. after all this is an open forum and it is meant to be a helpful community, not this kind of negitive and false accusation community.

no wonder the world is in a state today because of such people.

I wonder why i bother anymore. I have nothing to hide so really, it is not my fault if you have issues. go sort them out

  8. So I had a consultation with a law firm in london who specialises in US immigration. The firm is a US based firm.

my story was that I was falsely accused by my ex partner. I got arrested and elected crown court trial for the charges laid against me. of course, I was found not guilty on all accounts and pleaded not guilty also.

this however made me need to apply for a B1/B2 visa. I got it approved, thankfully, last year. I will be using it for the first time next month. I was able to travel before the whole ordeal on the visa waiver programme.

So I have a US girlfriend. we plan to marry at some point. Obviously means I would move over/immigrate to the US.

people here said "no, you are in serious trouble because of the charges that were laid against you and even though you were found not guilty still you wont get approval".

Well after speaking with the firm, he immediately said that there will be no problem because I was found not guilty. there is NO conviction.

The bonus is, I dont need to apply for a K1 visa. I can get married on my curent B1/B2 visa then the girlfriend can file for the immigration thing/sponser. I can still continue to travel back and fourth which is ideal for me.

thought I would update you all.
