  1. I added my wife to my credit card as a approved user and was going to use this as part of my evidence of relationship for the interview if we had one after I filed for AOS.

The question is I noticed that after I added her she still did not appear on the credit card statements just my name so how do I go about showing the interviewer that she is added to my credit card? I already have her on life insurance, medical, photos and we will be doing joint banking soon and my mom is going to write a letter saying we stay with her paying rent for food electricity etc. Do i need to worry about credit card statements?

  2. It has been said on here couple times that meeting through an aunt uncle etc could be a red flag I was in same situation I meet my fiancee through her aunt sometimes they think its an arrange marriage. This was the biggest reason I went to the interview with her so if you are really worried about it then have your fiance go to interview with you it will help you case a lot. They asked how you meet I said through her aunt they asked oh how long you know her and how and I said over 8 years and through work and it was it. The age gap should not be a problem at all.

The process is rough just breath and relax and like i said if he goes to interview it helps you case a lot though he is not required to go but it is a good experience

  3. For CFO in Cebu its best to go in the morning do your paperwork and then wait until later and do the interview and what Hank said in his post. They did ask her for my passport stamp of my entry and our chat logs she had to go back to get those. She did not get asked for Parental advice she was 21 but bring that anyways

  4. What most likely will happen as we went through the same thing her sputum and culture were both negative but due to the scar on her x-ray and they can't explain it they will require when she gets to USA to do another TB check it will be noted on her medical file this is what happened to us so now I have to get her into a doctor here and confirm again that she doesn't have TB We got this information as soon as we entered POE and they gave me a copy of her medical file. A 3 day culture always results in a 2 month sputum test so don't worry too much a lot have to go through it and don't be surprised if you have to do it again in the USA you may get lucky and not have to but we weren't, but at least she is here now I just have to get her on my insurance :)

  5. Sound logical to me. Doesn't sound like you really have a issue they just want to make sure ...

All the best! When's the wedding?

I think we settled on March 9th gives her time to adjust to everything so far she really likes it :) Amazed about not having to wash clothes by hand hehe

  6. So at POE an immigrations agent reviewed your xrays and did not like what she saw or there may have been a notation in the medical file? You did not see a doctor?

AOS is the only thing you do after getting married, but there is not exact time frame for having to do that.

at POE they did not review xrays I had them whole time i asked if they wanted them they said no they did give me copy of her medical report from st lukes it said:

Chest X-ray Findings Abnormal findings (checked was Infiltrate or consolidation and Discrete linear opacity)

Noted was Left upper lobe infiltrates and fibrosis

    Sputum Smears and Cultures

Yes, are indicated - Applicant has (Mark all that apply)

    Chest x-ray suggests TB

    All 3 Sputum smear negative

Sputum culture 9/4 Negative 9/5 Non tuberculous Mycobacteria 9/6 Negative

Negative Smear and Culture Results and:

Chest X-ray suggests TB: Class B1 TB, Pulmonary

My guess is that her old TB that was treated caused the scar and they are confused at why she has scar but no signs of TB this could be a result of her telling them she did not have TB because she was scared :(

I think they just want to double check she doesn't have TB because its very serious

  7. No processing is in POE where they take your packet and you into a room and you wait with tons of other people while they input your data into the computer her medical exam says something about scar in lugs so they want me to check it out. I call it process because the room was marked processing A

  8. So my fiancee and I went through processing yesterday we waited about 1hr half for the first part then went into a room for about 4 hrs we missed our flight and we had 5 hour lay over :( It appears the delay is due to a scar in her lungs even though culture and sputum were negative they still worried about the scar (I think its because she did not tell st lukes she had TB in past and got treated) So now CDC will call me and I have to take her somewhere to get her checked.

My main question is this the lady told me I needed to take her birth certificate and marriage license and present it to the nearest government place (forgot the name) to let them know we got married, but I thought you just did AOS after marriage but the lady told me I needed to go to this website to find closest office to me (she did not even write it down for me) and let them know of our marriage

Anyone know what she is talking about or is it just AOS because AOS you mail in BC MC etc

  9. I know you have said it's a good idea to me in the past to go _Hank, but I'm wondering if it's more of a necessity?

We have talked about it and we want to have her do the interview alone so that we can schedule the flights after she has the Visa and go to Thailand for a bit of a vacation before we go back to the states, but we only have 2 weeks. We are just following the "Don't book anything till Visa is in hand" rule.

I'm just trying to figure out if I NEED to be there or if she should be just fine.

I thought about it also long and hard and I wasn't going to go at first because of cost and it would just be short as i was almost out of vacation, but then I found out meeting through relatives (her aunt in usa) is a possible Red Flag to the Embassy as they might think its an arranged marriage and give her a hard time. So I went to hopefully address this issue and all they asked about it is how I know her and how long. I am glad i went and don't regret doing it and she worries a lot so it helped keep her at ease.

Its not necessity and most get approved without going I would say it depends on your scenario like how many times remarried distance between getting engaged one lady that was there alone went to AP because they got engaged in 2010 and just now started the petition but he had overlapped marriage in there. You still have time to think about it :)

  10. I went and it was very good experience we had lots of fun and joked around with American interviewer they kept telling her to relax and they asked us very little questions more like Are you in love what I did he wanted to see her wedding ring asked if big wedding we said small he said aww you need to have big wedding. Everyone that had American with them was approved that day.

Oh and good luck! going is well worth it

  11. Jan 6th to Jan 10th (Her Visa expires Feb 1st) I already got it booked but just short trip to get her as I don't want to use all my vacation

Remember I am going to pick her up and have her come back with me so I would have to do one way there one way back for both of us or call them like Hank suggested but I already got tickets booked through a travel agency but I have to call when I get there to exchange her e-ticket because of Philippines regulations not sure what that is about

Using that site and searching that date is around 2200 not a bad site will bookmark for future trips thanks. It really depends on date and Feb March good times to go

  12. My fiancee had no problems with the Cebu office but she went early in the morning and did most of the paperwork and just hung out there for couple of hours while she waited for the seminar to start she did have to come back because they wanted to see my passport stamp of entry and chat logs and then they gave her the certificate. She did say CFO was worse then Interview at Embassy but that's probably because I went to Interview

They are a bit of a pain they asked her What i did and she said Make plastic and they did not understand so she just said machine operator to make them happy

Dustin and Janen: You can have it notarized at the local Civil registry where you have it done she didn't need the ones I printed out but I gave them to her just in case

  13. Wichita Kansas Dallas Texas Korea Seoul and then Cebu its probably because Wichita is small airport but its the closest in range it would be a lot cheaper if I lived in Dallas Texas and I don't I also got quotes from 3 different Travel agents and looked online and they were all about the same. Orbitz was 1400 one way there and 2300 one way per person they had some cheaper but you have to make sure lay overs are not long or its just pointless the really cheap ones were lay overs of 6 to 7 hours .

When I flew to Philippines first time it was 1200 back in Feb and when I went to interview in Dec it was 1600 if I did it during Christmas week it was 4000 to 5000. I could fly fro Kansas City be cheaper but its 3 hrs away.

  14. On the latest Embassy packet from the website they just ask for Part 1 of DS-230 when I tired to check English version it asked for password not sure what that's about but when I went to interview on Dec 13th I was not even asked for DS-230 in fact the little white paper they give you with your number that gets displayed on board did not mention DS-230 not sure when they will start asking for it

  15. Yeah everything we took to embassy was no less then month old I also had her get new NBI and CENOMAR. The way I see it better safe then sorry they can be picky sometimes we were never asked for it but we had everything with us most likely because I went to interview with her.

  16. Is there a template or example of what the parental/guardian advice should look like?

Yeah you can use (Found on this post http://www.visajourn...ost__p__5253609)

Sworn statement that advice of parents or guardian has been asked. (for those who are 21-24 years old)

Consent to marriage of a person under age. (for those who are 18-20 years old)

I gave copy to my fiancee but when she went to local civil registry office with her two parents they had their own forum and it was like 50 peso or something to have it done

  17. I got a round trip for me for about 2386 and then her one way back is 1780 which I guess is not bad when I seen some for 3k to 5k.

Is this normal though my travel agent said this:

Please call Korean Airlines Cebu reservations office

during regular office hours, Monday to Friday, to

arrange for your exchanged e-ticket. Cebu office

tel. no. is 63 323405431 or please consult the local

directory for the contact tel. no.

I asked her whats that all about she said:

No need to worry. Korean Airlines Cebu Office needs

to exchange the e-ticket that we issued. This procedure

is routine, due to some Philippine regulations. Either

you request Ms. Tonacao to call or you may do it when

    you arrive in Cebu.

  18. They asked for copy of passport stamp they wanted to see it for some reason that was part of the "other" group if you sent her copy of your I-129F packet I would have her take that as you never know what they ask and its a pain when you need to go back and get it like we had to oh they asked for chat logs as well but they never asked for parental consent its such a pain be glad when she gets it done lol
