People forget each case and each embassy is different and so advice is but a grain of salt at best. I partially frontloaded and went to interview prepared. CO only looked at pics - no lease, bank info, remittance, airline info - nothing else. It was as if his mind was already made up to approve. I now tell everyone to front load as much as possible having seeing the stress others went through at the embassy. I watched persons denied without one piece of evidence being checked. So it happens in different embassies as well.

Hi
Police report can be as little as 2 days with express option. I got it when my case when to the NVC. By the time i had a case number I was ready with it.
I already had my birth certificate in hand.
I did my vaccines at my local doctor but you can go to a clinic. Many clinics seemed to be out of some though especially if you were not a child. Definitely spent less than if I had done it at Andrews. Find your old immunization card or you will have to get vaccines you had received before.

I submitted two letter pages with about 4 pictures total ,along it's the requested documents. The RFE I got was because they lost hubby's passport pic smh. They asked for no additional proof. I didn't submit any other proof till interview in Kingston and even then they only looked at the pictures.

Yes..I enetered multiple times on my visa while waiting for I30 process to be completed. If they don't ask then don't tell but be honest if they ask.

Mine was automatically stamped IR1 no questions asked. I entered a month after our anniversary

I received the IR1 stamp and the permanent green card. I entered a month after my second anniversary.

I was asked no questions at POE so you might have to say it to them.

So sorry I do hope it works out. It was mind wracking for my one month wait but all over now. You will be fine and I pray the best for you

The embassy emailed me to come pickup so I went back to the same counter I had my interview. Once I saw issued, I emailed the embassy and asked them if I should com pickup.
. No, mine was stuck in ready the entire time, sorry I wasn't clear. It went from ready to AP to issued with the day. They claimed it was issued before but the issue date stamped was only 2 days before my pickup.
You may not be able to call but f they are like Jamaica, they do respond to emails with 5 business days.

Mine was the same. Hubby, the USC, emailed them twice and one month after interview I went in and picked it up. Hubby als went in and saw the congressman but not sure how that factored in. btw, the date kept changing the same way and it went AP only the night before issued. good luck!I've done that multiple times. It says "there is no new status update for the passport you entered". It never says anything different than that.

I tried to go into my then local office and they had no availability. I moved to Charlotte a week ago and so I am making a date for this week. No further movement on that but at least my green card was produced two weeks ago- now to actually get it in hand. smh

Depending on culture of course, but in Jamaica (at both my non-immigrant and immigrant interviews), I did not see any ladies in sleeveless or tanks. Most had on short sleeve shirts on a jacket over a little top. Jeans or skirt is quite appropriate as long as it isn't too short. I heard the security telling a lady that her skirt was too short..didn't stay to hear the outcome

It doesn't matter for POE. As a matter of fact USCIS told me that I could wait past the 10 day until I settled in my new home before changing my address once I could receive mail at the original address provided (we were transitioning to a new apartment). You can always call them to verify though.

I can tell you what happened to me...
My suggestion is:
if you are lucky, you can get a nice officer who can let pass your parents at the border, but if you have a I-130 request open, 99,99% of the times they will go back to their country.
You can't go to USA with an ESTA or B1 or B2 visa if you have a I-130 in progress.
Ahem, I entered twice while my I130 was being processed and on my b1/b2 visa. The second time I spent 5 1/2 months in the USA with my husband and we got a lease together. We had no issues with the border control nor the embassy at the time of interview. The embassy even granted an expedite as we showed that lease, our proof or marital conjoined resources was about to be up. I didn't lie to the CBP officer when asked and had no issues.
It is an individual thing so please do not tell others what they cannot do.

Thanks..will do....

Is been two weeks since POE so I went to the local SS office. Turns out that the system has the incorrect name and the lady said she couldn't find me in the system until my husband told her to check using my middle name .
Seems that the immigration database entered the name as appears in passport and so my first and middle name now shows up as my first name. Even worse they have omitted the hyphen in my middle name and left off the last letter in the name.
Now she is saying it takes up to 6 weeks before hearing back from the NYC office and it may take another 4 to 6 weeks to sort out. Really?

I got IR1 at interview and confirmed at point of entry as visa was issued three weeks after second anniversary
-
By pass to supervisor. They kept telling my hubby the same garbage and he asked to speak directly to a tier 3 who took control of it and the 30 days we were told took one week from expedite request to case complete. It isn't easy to get a tier 3 but then hubby can be a very professional pit bull. He actually told a very rude rep that his query was above her pay grade. He was transferred to a tier 2 and he requested a tier 3.

My husband changed jobs one month before interview and a week before case complete...I carried a copy of his new contract but was never asked for anything.
-
Yes we did....good luck
-
It took us 5 days and then a week to send to embassy
-
The status was stuck in ready for 3.5 weeks then went to AP for 1day and then issued. We did send two emails during the process to which they ignored the first and gave a standard answer for the second. I did notice however that case did not start getting updated until after the second email .
So finally hubby here I come!
